FOOTAGE! of a Kane-kabob (with special eerie effects!).

Why won't they wake up? I'm tellin' you - it's the same time, every week. It's Raw, live from Lafayette, LA. I hope everyone's had a pleasant Labor Day (or, as they call it in Canada, "Monday").

King, in black/white chechered shirt with gold swirls, carrying his crown, and black singlet with white tights. JR, in black hat and denim shirt (with FOOTAGE!) commentates. vs. Evil Coach, in Texas (#32) football jersey, black warmups and backwards cap. AlSnow, in black sleeveless tshirt and jeans comes out to talk mid-match. Um, did YOU lose the signal, too? Bad match. Fortunately (?) we get a replay of the finish.

In the back, Shane walks and Terri talks.

In the back, Show and Coach celebrate. Bisch joins in. Austin shows up, but he doesn't celebrate. Wait - not BOTH of Heat's commentators are "heels"?

Austin, in sleeveless black "F*ck Fear" tshirt, jean shorts, and kneebraces, destroys the Hilight Reel set. And talks. And books a PPV match - Coach vs. JR (smell the buyrate for that cripple fight). And books another PPV match - Orton vs. Michaels. AND books ANOTHER match (for tonight) - Evolution vs. Shawn/Maven/Goldberg. Now Jericho, in undone black latex shirt and pants (not undone), is out to discuss some issues with Austin. Then Christian!, in yellow tights with black "C"s on red crests, wearing the IC Title, is out to talk. And then Austin goes and books ANOTHER match - Jericho vs. Christian! NOW! But Adbreak is having none of that.

Jericho vs. Christian! Christian hits the steps with authority. Jericho does a nice hurricanrana. Rollup to a pin. A nice match.

In the back, Austin and Shane discuss.

FOOTAGE! from the Elimination Chamber. Then HHH, in the back, talks (about Goldberg - go figure that). Oh, and Goldberg (the plague) is around.

Trish, in black sparlky trenchcoat, black top with blue laces and black pants, and Ivory, in blue semi-sparkly top and pants with brown spots and tassles vs. Adbreak vs. Gail, in red trenchcoat, lace-up skimpies and red bikini top, and Molly, in white/black top with red bar and black pants, wearing the Women's Title. Average match.

In the back, Vince and Shane meet. And talk.

TheMoney (Shane), in blue/white striped shirt (top two buttons undone) and slightly worn jeans, tempts fate by coming out to talk. Bischoff, in untucked short-sleeved black shirt and blue jeans, comes out. And so does Kane (from behind), in black spandex iwth red straps and some bandages. Yay - more Kane bondage! Pshaw - that's not enough water to make a difference. Basically it's the jumper-cables-to-the-crotch bit. But RVD, in black "RVD" tshirt, comes out with a steel chair to make the save and give Kane some hurt.

In the back, Bisch promises Kane a measure of revenge - in a STEEL CAGE!

Hurricane, in green "H" cape, and black/green "H" suit and Rosey, in neon green/purple shorts, navy-blue "Super Hero In Training" tshirt, orange shirt and tights, with purple mask vs. La Resistance, in blue sparlky coats, black berets with yellow trim and black "La Resistance" undies, with French Flag. Rob Conway with a run-in and belt shot to a pin. Some sloppiness, but an average match. Post-match the Dudleys show up.

In the back, Maven bounces and Terri talks. Then Orton and Flair show up to talk some smack.

Shawn, in the back, visits Maven in his locker room to talk. Also, in the back, Austin, Teddy, Mack, and Mark talk. Then Austin runs into RVD and THEY talk; Rob wants to jerk curtain? Still in the back, Stacie stretches while spitefully venting at Test, who is calm.

Stacie, in black top and pink skimpies, and Test, in black fullcuts with red flames, vs. Stevie, in pink "Stevie Night Heat" fullcuts and Victoria in black bra and pants. Stacie looks even MORE whiny than usual. Steiner, in bluejeans, interferes. Interference to a pin. Average match.

Evolution: HHH, in black spandex ironcross undies, wearing the Heavyweight Title and Randy, in black "Orton" undies with hip bolts and Flair, in black "Nature Boy" robe studded with sequins with black undies and purple boots vs. Maven, in black "M" fullcuts and Shawn, in black leather cross vest with cross chaps and black/red tights with sundered hearts vs. Adbreak, and Goldberg (he gets a bathroom this week), in black fullcuts with white trim and butt barbedwire. Spear to jackhammer to pin. A nice match.

Overall: An entertaining time. A bit much talk, and the King/Coach was poor, but that wasn't enough to drag the show down.

I lost the signal, too, as I think did all viewers because the Spike TV logo was still there. I thought this was a good show, and it looks like they're starting to turn Jericho face just in time to not serve him up to Goldberg (again). Yay!

I must say it was a really entertaining show. I'd have to say the Christian/Jericho match gets match of the night for me. Great to see Jericho bust out the hurricanrana. I also liked how in the main event they showed a lot of psychology with isolating Shawn.

Other highlight I'd have to say is the Triple H promo. I mean damn, is it just me or did that come off as impressively heelish?

I kind of enjoyed RAW. Shockingly the King vs. Coach match I liked. Well up till my Spike TV went out, it came back on just in time to see the replay after the match. Y2J vs. Christian was the best match. I just hope they are not getting rid of the Highlight Reel for good.

By the way, like usual Spike TV is airing Slamball after RAW. And with all the changes to TNN..I mean Spike TV to make it USA Network Version 2, I just keep thinking that if WWE just waited a little longer, the XFL would fit perfectly on Spike TV.

The Austin/Jericho/Christian segment was fantastic. Tonnes of heal heat there...

Ahhh....finally the kinda build up Goldberg needs. The main event at Unforgiven is going to be great.(I hope)

More Maven!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RAW comes back in a big way after a few poor shows. Now THAT is how you build up a superface....HHH looked like he was going to piss himself once Goldberg came up to him in the interview. I did have to laugh that after all of the build-up that Maven got, he was in the ring for about 20 seconds.

Heel Snow? WTF?

The Jericho/Christian match was very good, and this week's ridiculous Kane angle wasn't TOO ridiculous, since it caused every man in the world to cross his legs. Kane and RVD have been having good cage matches at house shows, so no doubt they'll put on a good bout next week.

Line of the night from JR: "Jericho just exploded in the champion's face." Hee hee, I'm 12 years old.

I thought of a few punchlines Kane couldve use....

"Talk about a bad case of blueballs"

Or

"Toasted Almonds, anyone?"

I can't decide what's worse, getting booted in a compactor filled with fire, or getting a scrotum shock.

I liked the show very much. Everybody seemed to be putting a full effort in tonight. I thought Jim Ross said that Kane was dead at first, which gave me the heebie jeebies for some reason. But overall, I really enjoyed the show tonight.

I think he said something along the lines of "He unfortunately doesn't have the pleasure of saying Kane's dead."

Stevie and Victoria need more time on my TV. MUCH MORE time on my TV. Hell, let them run in the tag division.....if anything, it'd be fun.....

And for the first time in forever, I liked a match HHH was involved in. That was just an awesome main event.....rest of it was forgettable, but all in all a damned good show

Coach/JR at the PPV.

People are actually expected to -pay money- to see Coach go up against JR.

Well, Heat this week should be ... interesting.

At least they didn't do what some of us were dreading and bring back Kane masked after the Burnin' Dumpster o' Far thing last week. On the other hand, the car battery to the nuts was just goofy. What's wrong with a nice simple tombstone piledriver or two on the cement? Hopefully this is Shane's last appearance on WWE TV for a while. Go home and spend time with Marissa, please...

Why even bother having Maven in the main event.....what the hell did he do ?

Kane falls into a dumpster and is totally engulfed in fire, and he shows up with just his arm bandaged ?

Stacy comes close, but no one looks better in hotpants than Gail Kim.

One nice little touch on the show.......when Flair and Orton showed up to confront Maven, Randy looked at Terri with a "Hey, how you doin'?" look on his face, before snapping out of it and focusing back on his heel intimidation.

I must be in the minority because I thought Raw sucked tonight. Personally, I was waiting for Maven to join Evolution or some kind of swerve to take place, what with the two segments hyping Maven as finally making it to the main event. And what was the payoff?? Maven gets into the match for, like, 90 seconds and is never heard from again. Fine, treat him like a jobber if you want, but don't give me 45 backstage segments hyping his presence in the main event. I could've missed this entire show, watch Raw the next week, and it would be like I missed nothing. NOTHING.

By the way, I think Flair is dead after snapping his neck on the ropes after that Goldberg spear.

Maven does have a 'real' finisher...the jumping DDT from the second rope.

Also, hasn't Maven been in a couple of main events before? His world title match against Jericho? His matches with Undertaker? The Royal Rumble (stretching)?

A BIG rebound from the past two weeks of Raw (non)action. The six man main was the best match, and kudos to HHH for gutting it out and wrestling well, and portraying fear. I love the way Goldberg kept looking over at HHH during the final Jackhammer move. It was the "Don't even think about getting in this ring right now" stare, and HHH had to abide by it.

It certainly helped tonight that the crowd was more animated then ever before in Louisiana. I thought Raw was in Chicago or Dallas for a minute there. And I love the emphasis on Mean Molly (TM me) right now. All we need now is Daffney on WWE TV and all will be well.

But still- Coach vs. JR? Kane vs. Shane as the semi-main? Good luck on getting that big buyrate for Unforgiven.

Molly, Stacy and Daffney all in WWE? I suddenly lost all my will to complain about anything regarding the WWE. Hope I don't lose my street cred for this.
