I still think the "higher purpose" is to force their way through the glass ceiling. That would explain why they've constantly insisted they have no problem with the WWE superstars and are concerned, instead, with WWE management.
Over the past several months, it has been repeatedly stressed that John Cena is the company's current golden boy. Jericho has brought it up recently, and before that, Batista stated it several times.
