Another entertaining RAW. The NASCAR guys were fun. I liked one playing the heel and heeling Buffalo. Cheap heat never, ever gets old.
The elevation of Kofi Johnson, er, Kingston was a nice surprise. Great to have a new guy pushed against a main eventer. Even better was him destroying Randy Orton's stock car, presumably before Orton could figure out how he could have sex with it, which seemed to be what Orton was doing when he received it as a gift. Kofi Kingston must have attended the Jamaican branch of Stone Cold University and majored in vandalism.
Swagger and Miz's interactions, with Eve thrown there, was all good.
DX are such degenerate rebels, sending cease and desist orders to midgets.
Sheamus jumping to RAW before he could have his blow off with Shelton Benjamin makes no sense.
Poor Big Show. He didn't deserve what happened to him. It's been a while since I read Milton but doesn't Heaven hold a special place for traitors? Wait, maybe I have that wrong...
Jericho booking it through the crowd when the RAW lumberjacks showed up as awesome.
Great Raw with the exception of Sheamus, which was **DEAD** with the crowd. Just end the Sheamus experiment right now. Please just end it.
What Raw needs is a brand new UNSTOPPABLE MONSTER HEEL debut like Vader when he joined WCW or Undertaker when he joined the WWE. And put the super heel right into the main events.
Big show vs all of Raw was well done also although Show messed up selling a lot of moves during it. What I would have done differently is have the entire Raw roster cover Show for the pin with Cena counting (this was a no DQ). Now the horrible disappointment is Show is facing Undertaker for the title on Smackdown.
Kofi is getting a huge push & that is great. I am really looking forward to this feud. The crowd was really into that segment with Kofi trashing the car.
Jericho is a class act. Even showed up on ECW to help put over Christian. Whenever they get rid of the guest host gimmick, I hope Jericho is made GM.

Yes, end this abomination already. Put us out of our suffering before we have to watch a second match.

Crowd wasn't as hot for this one as in the past in Buffalo. The NASCAR guys got a good pop when they first came out, but by the end, they got quite a few boos. Buffalo has always been pro-Cena, and it was very much that way again; hardly any stray anti-Cena chants. Couple good matches on the show, with Jericho vs. Kofi and the mid-show tag match. And the elevation of Kofi got off to a good start, especially with him destroying Orton's car. Now let's see if they can keep him elevated, or if they pull a Miz and job him out quickly. It was funny, during the break after he gave Orton's car a new paint job, Orton sat Indian-style in the ring like a sad child, and somebody at ringside started waving a tissue at him, which the camera caught, and got a big pop.
Look for a new opening and theme song next week; they had us participate in the filming of it during one of the breaks.

Really, they might as well call him Kofi Johnston from now on - it would help alleviate all the confusion that perhaps he's related to the Last of a Dying Breed Eddie Kingston. What? They're TOTALLY worried about ROH, MAN
In that ad for that video game I've now seen like a zillion times, when that dude creates those characters and says they're for his big mixed tag match against Kelly Kelly, and all his characters appear to be males, does that make him the chick? I don't think somebody thought that through!
Nah, I got nothin'. Another two title matches I'm not particularly looking forward to, but it's not like I have any BETTER alternative title matches to book the way things are going.
Ok Matt Tracker, I'll get on the Kofi bandwagon now. I totally dug the beatdown of the car even if I was nervous the whole time that Kofi was going to hurt himself, either with paint shrapnel or slipping and falling through the windshield. That was good stuff.
Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne next should be...well hit or miss I guess. It has a chance to be funny and awkward, or just a trainwreck. I'm not sure which I'd rather see.

The reasons I like him are distinct from the reasons The Lovely Mrs. Tracker likes him. I appreciate a competent flier, and the kid has hops (I'm old). She's entranced by his smile foremost, thinking he's sincerely giddy to have this job, and then admires his athleticism.
I'm still surprised to see him in this position as it stands, but I remember MVP getting this chance and losing it soon after. MVP should get that shot again, I think, but Kofi is clearly RAW's answer to Rey: Kofi can lose a feud like this and not lose one iota of support from the younger fans.
Also, that entrance theme is friggin' addictive. I've heard it a lot during the new PS3 game, and it's in my top five current theme list.

Serious Trainwreck, I am thinking - so - if Kelly makes it through DWTS tomorrow, do they pull out? They have been at every DWTS show, and it's up against Raw. I think they figured Kelly would be eliminated by then.
We'll be back right after order has been restored here in the Omni Center.

Where did that MVP push go anyhow? Remember when some people were calling other people crazy for complaining that Shane stole MVP's moment but not to worry because in a week or two MVP would get to go against Orton and all would well?
I'm guessing that the C'n'D letter to Horny is the beginning of the DX heel turn, or at least the HHH heel turn to set up Cena/HHH at Mania? Just not sure where that leaves HBK in the grand scheme of things. Maybe HBK/Punk a few months down the road?
Maybe I'm just being hopelessly optimistic, but I've just GOT to believe they have something better than yet another HHH/Cena match in mind for WrestleMania. Hell, heel Batista/face Cena would be vastly preferable.
Does anybody know who that lawyer guy was? Was he anybody in developmental? I oddly wasn't thinking DX when he came out, first thing that came to mind was maybe it was a new heel character. A lawyer character hasn't been done since Clarence Mason I believe, which was 12 years ago. Surely they can recycle it by now.

They did this with Umaga a couple of years ago and it worked out well, they've done this dozens of other times and had epic failures. It really doesn't work unless you have the right monster.
I know the answer is "because it's wrestling", but why didn't the Raw guys just administer the 10-on-1 beatdown on Show in the ring as soon as the match started so as to save HHH a huge beating?
I think Kofi took a big step tonight toward playing with the big boys. The beatdown of the car was neat, but it was the promo he cut during it that I was impressed with.
Maybe I should know the answer to this, but was Hornswoggle suggesting the triple threat match supposed to show that he didn't care about the cease and desist letter because he was suggesting both members of D-X get a world title shot, or was it supposed to be his way of getting back at D-X for the letter by pitting them against each other?

DO TELL!
Torch specialist Greg Parks reports live from the site of tonight's WWE Raw that WWE filmed a new intro for the Raw theme music to debut next week.
ECW announcer Josh Mathews came to the ring during a commercial break before the main event and told the audience they were filming a new intro for next week's Raw.
The audience was told to scream when the word "HEY!" flashed on the Titantron video screen.
So did you scream "HEY!" - like Glitter's song?
Or as in "Gabba Gabba..."?
Or just SCREAM when they flashed "HEY!"?
Suckas gots to know...
(the RAW song ain't been right since RAW IS A THORN IN RYDER'S EYE)

I would have HHH/HBK for Mania and Cena/Batista for the dream main event if either one of them could stay healthy. Kofi is an interesting choice to feud with Orton and hopefully its not the epic fail that MVP was. I would say the beginning of the end of Jerishow, Legacy and DX has begun which allows it to open up for the Rumble and Mania booking. Edge coming back to Smackdown will help them greatly. Shamus is not ready for that push considering Yoshi and Ryder are right there. I still don't like ECW being the staging ground for new talent when ECW seems to be running a lot better then Raw right now.

I was expecting Kofi to slip off the car and hurt himself.

I agree with pretty much everything said about, on the entire thread, Kofi! I totally got into him going slightly ape on the car. Just amped him to a notch I hadn't seen from him. Yep, Kofi!

Ironically, his smile is what turned me off from him in the first place. He would (and still does) run to the ring smiling like a retarded person and then do the horrible Boom Drop. But if he is indeed turning the corner and starts to intimidate like he did against Orton, those are two things he'll have to lose. Otherwise he'll remain Scottie-Too-Hottie version 2. I do love his athleticism and his desire, so I'd love to see him succeed.
