I didn't think the Big Show beatdown was boring at all. They should have over sold the choke ala Andre the Giant choking out Hogan on SNME. Have random guys from the card run in and try and make a save while being shrugged off and thrown over the ropes.

This is how you sell a big man who can't move choke out (about 5:20 in the clip) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSoTMJGBbvA

Orton repeatedly slapping Shane's ankle after the chair shot was just plain evil and completely awesome.

I see MVP feuding with Regal as a good thing. It gives him an opponent the fans hate yet he can go over on cleanly without diminishing said opponents heat (something he's not going to be able to do with Orton at this juncture) and Regal is someone he can work a good match with and really showcase his ability (which, arguably, he wouldn't be able to do as well with Orton.) Plus, I think Regal is one of those people with whom you can't work a program and not learn something from them, which can only benefit MVP as well.

It wasn't all that long ago that CM Punk was feuding with Regal, and he's certainly still near the top of the card. And look at the last man to feud with Regal. Jamie Noble is... still employed, isn't he? Well, he certainly didn't take a step *down* by feuding with Regal. So while I can understand why some people would be annoyed by MVP getting involved with Regal only one week removed from doing battle with the World Champion, in the long run I think it's going to turn out to be a good thing.

Regal's a heat machine who can be slotted into a quickie US title match in order to keep MVP a major part of the show while the ME scene is tidied up. If anything this was a sideways step from last week-they readily acknowledged MVP's issues with Legacy and kept him as an integral part of the show-long storyline. We'll see how it progresses.

Plus, Batista-Orton is already locked in for Judgment Day and doing any more with MVP-Orton right now would confuse that. Alternative to Regal they could've had him feud with DiBiase or Rhodes, which I probably would've preferred because it kept him directly involved in the top feud with Legacy, but maybe Priceless are going to get the belts from the Colons here instead.

Couple thoughts not involving Raw but can't be made into a new thread:

Why does Cody Rhodes have the tri-force logo on his boots?

Maryse's music SUCKS! Everytime I hear it I change the channel.

But she is awesome. I dont think she's all that hott, but she plays the bitchy stuck-up heel role (you know, the role that McCool TRIES to play, but sucks at? Yeah, that one) to perfection.

No, her music is perfect. She's French(-Canadian), she's hot, and she's full of herself. What should her music be? Some generic guitar shit like half the undercard roster?

Her song impeccably suits her character. Look at the lyrics:

http://www.quizilla.com/lyrics/8859589/wwe-maryses-theme

Maryse's Euro-techno music may not be to your musical taste - it's not my kind of music either - but there are few better marriages of theme song and character in WWE right now.

I mean, it's a zillion times more fitting than Michelle McCool still using Torrie Wilson's 2005 heel music, which doesn't suit her heel character any more than it did her face character. (No one not named Mark Calaway LUSTS for McCool, I don't think.)

I only noticed this for the first time Monday night too. http://kotaku.com/5014182/rasslin-for-link explains it for you.

To be fair, A Link To The Past is pretty great and one of the few SNES games that I have revisited as well. Not every year mind you, but more than once.

I have a new respect for Cody now. He's a nerd like most of the rest of us.

Not exactly. He had 80% of the offense against Randy Orton and the current equivalent of Hawkins and Ryder. Those two are the Orton geeks. Without them, Orton is still dangerous as hell, but without him they're two losers. Losers with recognizable last names, but that's literally all they have going for their characters at this point.

The Brian Kendrick's music is terrible and I love it.

I agree. I played "A Link To The Past" straight through once so that I could finish it with 0 lives. Looking back, if I had died in that final battle with Ganon I don't know what I would have done.

And that's another problem I have, how the other members of Legacy have been portrayed, but that's for another day. The bottom line is that Shane was all offense against three young, fit, trained pro wrestlers. It was lame any way you slice it.

If only the WWF/E was leaving Seattle after Mania and heading to Tacoma for RAW. Then, it could be very entertaining. The only hope is the state of Washington can recreate the magic of 2001 and chant at him either:
