| #21 Posted on 24.3.09 0948.11 | Instant Rating: 4.63 | How did I watch Raw for 2 years without Jericho?? I hope he lays waste to those has beens.
I can't see Steph turning heel now, not after 2 assaults by Orton. If so, it would be stupid.
MUTigermask, it always bugged me too when sometimes other wrestlers or security make the save, and other times they let someone get beaten half to death. In the case of HHH, it makes a little sense, he did say a few weeks ago that he's never been a good person. The guy has made a lot of enemies over the years. His only buddy, HBK, was apparently off in a graveyard somewhere.
That SD! title match may be the least interesting angle going into WM. That's sad, especially considering the amount of time creative has put into the Raw title match. Then again, look who is involved.

Wait, I'm confused. Which World Title are you referring to as the "SD! title match"? Because if you mean Edge, then the belt he's wearing is the RAW World Heavyweight Title. Triple H is the WWE Champion, which is Smackdown's title (until the Draft after WrestleMania.) | Broncolanche

No. They usually hang the belts over their shoulders on their way to the ring, as opposed to wearing them around their waists like they used to.

That doesn't make a lick of sense. Orton has RKO'd and DDT'd Steph, plus Orton has made to look like a fool pretty much at every turn (except last night). If Steph was on Orton's side, wouldn't she warn him that HHH was planning on invading his home, or wouldn't she tip him off to the steel cage last week? Yeah, it's not like they'd ever conveniently ignore things like that in the WWE....wait.
I could still see it happening as little sense as it makes. Something like Vince and Shane taking out and interfering Dibiase and Rhodes during the match, and then when Orton threatens to hit HHH with the hammer during the match she comes out and turns. And then explains that Orton held back on really hitting the moves and she's doing it because she thinks HHH is just with her for her power. Stupid yes, but I can see it. | kentish

Sorry, my mistake. With the lack of brand split these days I forget which guys and titles are actually on what show. I forget HHH is technically a SD guy. The Edge-Cena-Show angle is the one I find least interesting. It seems like all the time and effort is being given to the (surprise) HHH-Orton-Steph storyline. Don't get me wrong, it has been interesting even if the payoff (Orton-HHH) will be anti climactic considering we saw that match so many times last year. Actually, lack of payoff is a recurring theme for several WM matches this year.

It's a shame Flair isn't at least ten years younger facing this Jericho, the two were great together. Lawler did look like a goof though. Jericho should have at least waffled him with the chair.
I was amazed at how amped the crowd got near the end of the 8 man tag match.
I liked the idea of the HBK promo, but it came out kind of cheesy.
I actually liked the ending of the show and I haven't liked a moment of the HHH/Orton feud. I could have done without HHH standing there trying to touch Orton for a minute, but that seemed like one of those pose for the tech people to add to a much better video package.

ANyway, great promo by Jericho. It's a shame more heels can't cut a great promo like that these days. I mean, with all the legit hate for Orton, imagine if he had an ounce of personality?
And, when did flair lose 80% of his hair, requiring such a horrid comb over? He was looking like HBK out there, but the white hair made it worse.
Nice blade job though, a puddle of blood at the end of the segment was a bit gross, but made it even more effective of showing what a prick Jericho is.
HHH being handcuffed was definitely an old school heel move. DDTing Steph right in front of him was great, as was the kiss. Actually building this feud more than the "break into the house and destroy it" did.
And, HBK in the graveyard? Anybody else read the tombstones around him? Complete nonsense words, instead of names. Stuff like b8oob Boo8sbm as the person's name? Then the stupid 16-1 headstone ruined it, along with the shoveling dirt in part.
Mickey James beating Santino was a nice little bit of a time waster. Tying his other hand back, and watching him try to climb the ropes was great. | CajunMan

I was thinking Shane would do a run-in and then turn on Triple H giving Orton the win. Remember not to long ago Shane said Steph. was running down the company, I think Shane even got the slap of death from Steph. Shane may be looking for payback? Just a thought.

I know, one is meant in comedy, but still. I caught a replay of the DDT elsewhere, and I think Steph ate it like a champ.
The spinner belt doesn't spin anymore...? I guess when Cena lost it, there really wasn't a use for it anymore.
I felt physically ill during the Jericho/Flair segment. Flair deserves better than what he's doing right now.
Steph did indeed look exceptionally yummy tonight.

Did you watch a replay? I watched live (or as live as The Score gets for Raw), and the DDT was shown there. That said, there is a legitimate reason that it would be censored while the Santino/Mickie match can be shown. That reason is the CRTC.
The CRTC, which governs Canadian television, serves as a watchdog for the various networks. WWE programming is considered by them to be a "sports" show, and as such things that go above and beyond the sport at the core are to be censored. This would include foul language, nudity and man on woman violence. However, as a sports show, things that happen in the middle of a sanctioned match are legal. Thus they can show the Santino/Mickie match without fear, because it's a 'legitimate' match on the show. Stephanie wasn't a part of the scheduled HHH/Legacy match, though, so violence against her is bad and wrong and can't be shown.
Isn't it great that we have the CRTC protecting us from things like that? | SEADAWG
