| #22 Posted on 13.1.09 0912.28 | Instant Rating: 4.57 | | I feel like they haven't been doing all they can with the Michaels/JBL situation. Michaels is "working" for JBL, but then continues to do what he'd normally do, which is fight fairly in a tag team match and beat another wrestler cleanly. Ever since he slapped JBL to give him the match against Mysterio, the only evidence of this "working relationship" has been in promos (and Shawn's sad faces he makes that crack me up). JBL needs to threaten to fire him if he doesn't do the nefarious needs that JBL wants... put him in some matches with midcarders, have JBL order Shawn to beat them up beyond reason just for his own evil enjoyment. Stuff like that. Because right now it's not really clear what's so bad about being JBL's employee; you get put in matches, promised a little extra money if you do something bad, but if you don't... hey, no big deal. Just seems unimpressive. | jwrestle

I will agree...I don't get anything from Sim or Manu...they come off as bland. So be it there dad's were wrestlers. Another generation but there dad's could get a reaction. As of right now I was even rooting the beat down on.

At least the variation is better than the Shake, Rattle and Roll or even the MVP version (which never made sense to me). It looks painful, and he's big enough to use it on the majority of wrestlers.

Can we get a standard way to refer to Superfly's kid? I'd spent my whole life in fandom hearing "Snuka" as though it rhymed with a kid from South Boston saying "hooker". Now I have Cole saying as though it rhymed with that same kid saying "fucker".
It's all very annoying to my gentle ears.

Maybe I've just watched too much wrestling, but I keep expecting a swerve from Michaels where he helps JBL willingly and admits this was a ruse.

And then he leaves. The following week, Vince comes out and tells Steph she was wrong to fire Jericho and Vince has talked to Jericho, upped his salary and gave him a shot at the title in the Royal Rumble, making it a three way dance.
I would rather see Jericho in the title match because there is no way in hell he is winning the Rumble. At least in a three way, he has a SHOT to get the title back.

I think that would dilute all the manipulatin' JBL did to get it. 'cause they've set it up where Cena has already lost to Michaels with JBL in his corner so now the belt's in jeopardy facing the opposite.
At least in a three way, he has a SHOT to get the title back.
It's okay because Jericho is awesome in Royal Rumbles (2003, 2004, 2005) and could work for 30 minutes and be part of a cool finish. Or draw an early number and be like "this is no fair, all you people are hypocrites for using numbers." | BigDaddyLoco

I originally had it as Snuka, then I mistakenly thought it was Manu and edited my post. Turns out it was Snuka. My bad.
My larger point still stands though. They both do nothing for me and are wasting roster spots. Other than wearing snazzy outfits occassionally, Manu has been generally unimpressive in his matches, and Sim has just been terrible for the entirety of his time in WWE.
