No way in **** that contest is on the up and up... It might be a contest, but people aren't just being phoned at random during the episodes.

The odds of a fan in attendance winning a prize??? Very small but what made it unreal.... is there is no way, no how the cameras could have zoomed so quickly on her with 15,000 other people in the arena standing up. It's almost impossible.

And that one where they called and the moment they turned the phone to someone else...... then immediately posted the name of that caller that smelled also like they knew ahead of time they were going to win.

I'm glad this contest is over.... Like I said and others have said, if you haven't been contacted ahead of time, you aren't going to be contacted during the show.

Can't see how these trades are possibly can help the Raw ratings... It does give Smackdown some fresh faces to feud with Edge. They ought to just shut up ECW now.

She won't do that for the same reason Vince didn't fire everyone he has feuded with.

I love the draft shows. I love the drama involved, and I get excited when someone switches brands.

This year's draft is no different. It was interesting to see various champions switch brands, and announcers too. I don't like the idea of JR switching to Smackdown, but I guess it'll be interesting to see what JR and Foley will be like as a tandem.

I HATED THE END OF THIS SHOW, though. We've already had a "Who tried to kill off Vince McMahon" storyline, and it sucked back then. I'm thinking it was a work, though.

The only ting that makes me think it was legit was McMahon calling for Paul. McMahon generally doesn't break kayfabe, right?

It was awesome when the kid from Hamtramck, Michigan won the $100,000. I live in Hamtramck and there's a huge immigrant population, incluiding Bengali, Indian and Arab. So, hooray for whoever that was and his family.

You were wondering when Benoit would be mentioned again on WWE television? SAY HELLO TO HIS G-G-G-GHOST

We've got ourselves a super mystery, gang!

Oh man, I totally forgot today was the anniversary of the Benoit killings. That makes the end of Raw even more head-shakingly ridiculous. The battle royal already featured the 2004 Rumble finish with Batista in the role of Benoit, except this time Big Show broke the choke and got the elimination.

Remember, ECW itself is moving to Monday's tapings, so the brand didn't lose out at all. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me to see a storyline reason for it --- Teddy Long severing the "talent-sharing agreement" with Smackdown due to his rivalry with Vickie.

Good to see Kofi get a good spotlight match that got some decent time to develop. That head bounce off the ropes was pretty awesome.

I don't think Adamle said one word during the entire battle royale. The only time he showed any competence the entire night was when Foley brought up his old Bears buddy.

How is it that I am a good actor? What I do is I... pretend to be the person Im portraying. Youre confused. Case in point: in Lord of the Rings, Peter Jackson comes to me and says I would like you to be Gandalf the Wizard, and I said You are aware that I am not really a wizard? and Peter Jackson said I would like you to use your acting skills to portray a wizard for the duration of the show. So I said Okay and then I said to myself Mmm.. How do I do that? And this is what I did: I imagined that I was a wizard, and then I pretended, and acted, in that way on the stage. How did I know what to say? The words were written down for me in a script. How did I know where to stand? People told me where to stand." -- Sir Ian McKellen, Extras

Maybe the WWE thinks they stacked Raw and maybe they got some "main eventers" in the WWE's eyes but I think they got an awful deal. Kane and Rey are done, Batista is boring most of the time and nobody believes they are going to use Punk.

Yeah, everybody might job to Trips if he says on Smackdown but he's 100 times better than anybody Raw got. Then they got Umaga, Kennedy AND Jeff Hardy? They got 4 GOOD wrestlers that could be main eventers and they got JR over Cole. The only thing good they lost was Matt Hardy.

I'm thinking Triple H does show up on Smackdown simply so we think that at the ppv that Edge/Cena win or Batista/Triple H win, only for Edge/Triple H to win. Edge/Vickie then decide to trade Triple H to Raw after the PPV since they don't want two champions (and really because Edge doesn't want to face him). They probably get all mid carders (London and Kendrick? Murdoch? Carlito? Haas?) But that only makes them better. They still have Edge and Big Show and probably the best three future World Title holders in Jeff, MVP and Kennedy. Plus the Triple H trade adds to the mid card.

I only caught parts of the show, but it certainly seemed that they were presenting the draft picks as random--flashing through pictures of everyone on the roster and all. But, of course, all of the draftees (aside from the announcer picks) were main eventers, or at least firmly upper-midcard. Now, if you're only going to draft the top guys, why present it as random? Why not present it as having some element of purposeful choice to it? Maybe I'm overthinking things, but I like my wrestling with the appearance of plausibility.

Battle royal was fun. Ending was, of course, absurd. One gets the feeling it's Vince refusing to admit he had a bad idea. I turned over to VH1 during the show and they were making fun of the XFL...maybe Vince wants to redo that next. B^)

I hope they had Mike Adamle say it on purpose, and if they didn't then I hope they throw some money at him for saying it. "Samoan Bulldog" is such an awesome name for Umaga that I'll be terribly disappointed if they don't run with it.

And, yeah, I can't imagine anything good coming out of how they ended this show.

Michael Cole on Raw, oh geez.

JR looked genuinely miffed and no-one could blame him.
The only way listening to Smackdown will be palatable now at least.

The Batista and Melina injuries are genuine from what I read. You can never really tell.

The belt situation looks terribly confusing. Are the Night Of Champions results going to sort this out or are the going to make it hard for themselves.

Matt Hardy to ECW - what a waste.

So instead of watching Jeff Hardy fight Umaga for the millionth time on Monday night, we get to watch Jeff Hardy fight Umaga for the millionth time on a Friday night. What a shakeup!

But in all seriousness, Raw not only has all the major star power (what else is new?), but there also seems to be a face/heel disparity here. Cena, Batista, HBK, Mysterio, Punk and Kane to...Jericho and JBL. Someone's gonna have to turn and my money's on HBK, who snaps at some point.

If there's one big money match that's still waiting in the wings, it's Cena/Batista. It's one step closer to happening.

1) I'll agree that Rey is on the downside of his career, but "done"? The guy is still 1 of the best in the company, and certainly way better than Kennedy, who you are calling one of "the best three future World Title holders" (ha!). News flash - Kennedy isn't that good. And HHH is 100x better than Rey? Now you're just being ridiculous. And I'll take Rey over Jeff Hardy 8 days a week.

2) And speaking of your 3 best future World Title holders, I can't see Jeff winning the belt. He's 1 more wellness policy violation away from being fired. Can they trust the guy not to mess up again? I know I wouldn't. I doubt they'll put 1 of their top 2 belts on a guy they don't trust. Maybe if they kept Matt on SD to "babysit" him, but obviously they had other ideas.

RAW:

Rey Mysterio
CM Punk
Batista
Kane
Michael Cole

Smackdown:

Jeff Hardy
Umaga
Jim Ross
Mr. Kennedy
Triple H

The Draft has just made me a bigger Smackdown fan and much, much less of a RAW fan. Hardy, Umaga, Jim Ross and Triple H (Kennedy not so much) are a big boost to Smackdown. Those are people I enjoy watching/listening to. Ross may be upset about being forced to leave the flagship show, but Ross and Foley ought to be the older fan's announce team dream. Triple H, Edge, and Jeff Hardy in the Smackdown main event scene makes me happy.

For RAW, I'm indifferent to Mysterio and Batista while I actively dislike Punk and Kane so them joining a roster with Cena and JBL at the top of the card doesn't move me. Thank God Jericho and HBK remain to bring the wrestling. Still, the match ups on RAW are fresh and intriguing so the Draft did the job of creating new rivalries. Mysterio alone has a whole roster of people whom he's mostly never feuded with.

I honestly thought Cena was moving to Smackdown, the rationale being A) Triple H would NEVER leave RAW (shows what I know) and B) With the jump to MyNetworkTV, John Cena would be their best guarantee that their legion of little, little, squeaky voiced fans would look for Smackdown to see their new hero. But they went with Triple H, which made my jaw drop. I was genuinely shocked.

I have to think a supplimental draft would happen later this week to move a few more Superstars and Divas back and forth. The work doesn't seem to be done in reinventing the rosters but things are certainly Different at the moment and Different is good.

Had it not been for the last 3 minutes, that would've been a highly entertaining Raw. Instead, it was highly entertaining with a WTF ending.

I honestly think HHH is going to stay on SD!. It seems like we got brief teases of HHH/Edge and Cena/Batista for WrestleMania, which would work for me. That's a long way off, but still...

I hoped that Jericho and HBK would be drafted to SD! and continue their feud there, but I guess that would not go over with the SA crowd. Then again, when has WWE ever really cared about that?

If the draft stays as is, I think it really freshened things up, which was desperately needed. Switching announcers is a move that was needed LONG ago. It also gives me more segments to watch on DVR of SD! instead of just Morrison/Miz (what a rub they got last night!) and Edge.

I'm guessing as of Tuesday morning that Batista is still woozy from that head clang last night. That was probably the most blood we've seen on Monday night in a long time.

If only Vince Russo was around perhaps we could see Khali fulfill his destiny by going home and working in a tech support call center. The man has some serious skills on the line.

In real sports they say you can't evaluate a draft for at least 3 years. I think here we need at least 3 weeks to see who really stays where they are. I have a feeling the JR/Cole switch won't last, and was done mostly so Vince and the writers could remind the announcers who's in charge.

The fact that finally a crowd was chanting "What?" after each Khali monologue made me happy.

The less said about the ending, the better for us all. Seems telling though that on a night of huge changes, and leading up to a PPV with a main event that is supposed to be "a moment we'll remember forever" the last image we take from the show is once again a Vince McMahon cliffhanger.

Was it ever settled as to which channel SmackDown would go this fall? If they stack it with Taker, Triple H, Umaga, Edge, and JR, would they try to get it on a higher-profile network?
