TONIGHT: A special three-hour “WrestleMania Rewind” show (brainchild of writer Brian Gewirtz), with matches that have taken place on previous WM’s. Only one match announced on WWE.com: Undertaker vs. Mark Henry in a Casket Match. Two “classic teams” will also be on hand to wrestle, according to prowrestling.net, but I don’t want to be spoiled! Is “classic” referring to two old-time teams, or two teams of active guys who simply don’t team anymore? Oh by the way....WWE Champion Randy Orton is in charge of the show, per William Regal. Tonight will also feature the official weigh-in between Floyd Mayweather and The Big Show, despite no specific type of match being announced yet. Details, details. Expect another Hall-of-Famer to be added to the gala as well.

-WWE Open.

-Raw Open.

-Fireworks (and plenty of’em!) greeted us on this special Monday night, LIVE from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. JR and King talked about the WrestleMania rewind tonight, going back to 22 to see Taker vs. Mark Henry in a casket match. Also, the official weigh-in of Big Show and Floyd Mayweather. And jerking the curtain tonight is Nature Boy Ric Flair (although he’s not actually wrestling). JR called him “the Rembrandt of the wrestling canvas.” Flair filled us in on what HBK said last week. Naitch called Michaels out, because he had something to say, face-to-face. It didn’t take long for “Sexy Boy” to start playing and Shawn Michaels to come out. Flair, for some reason, complimented Michaels on his ring entrance. Flair said he felt Michaels giving off a sympathy vibe last week. The Nature Boy said he wanted to stand on his own two feet, and he wants respect. Flair said if he has a real good day, he could beat Shawn and his career could go on forever. He asked, in front of the world, for a 100% commitment from Shawn right now. Michaels said he didn’t mean to show pity and that he IS Mr. WrestleMania. He briefly ran down his WM credentials. HBK said at WrestleMania, the show will get stolen: “Let’s do it” he said, and they shook on it. Michaels noted Flair’s upcoming 3-on-1 match against “Edge....and his two.....Edge guys,” which drew some laughs. Michaels offered to be in Flair’s corner on Friday night. Before Flair could respond, Randy Orton’s music kicked on and the champ/tonight’s GM came out. Orton made it clear he was in charge, and put Triple H in a match against his old friend, Kane. Randy said Michaels didn’t win last year at WrestleMania, and made a match between him and Cena for tonight. Great segment for the HBK/Flair stuff, though we know Michaels won’t be on Smackdown, unless bible study class got cancelled.

-After a few seconds of black, clips of WrestleMania 2006's Henry vs. Undertaker match aired. Tonight, we revisit that contest...in fact, it’s next!

[Break]

-Druids with torches lined the side of the entryway as some religious chanting was going on over the PA. Then, we got Taker’s gong and his music began to play.

Undertaker vs. Mark Henry- Casket Match
Soupbone rights to start from the Dead Man. After a flying clothesline (and that’s being generous), Undertaker wanted the casket opened. Taker went for Old School, but he jumped right into a bear-hug. Taker fought out, but was clotheslined over the top rope. He landed on his feet, and pulled Henry out with him. Henry reversed a whip and sent Taker into the security wall. Henry lifted Taker but the Dead Man countered and Henry went face-first into the steel post. He bounced Henry’s head off the casket. Back in the ring, Henry picked Taker up and slammed him. Big splash followed that. Henry began to pull Take toward the casket, but Taker grabbed the arm and put him in the Gogoplata, his triangle choke. Undertaker easily put Henry in the casket and picked up the victory.

Winner: Undertaker, at 4:42.

[Break]

-“Snow (Hey Oh)” by the Red Hot Chili Peppers is one of the official Wrestlemania themes.

-Floyd Mayweather was backstage with his posse, laughing it up.

-In a pre-taped video package, Michael Buffer (announcer extraordinaire), Antonio Tarver (former boxer), Bert Sugar (boxing historian and old man who always wears a Joe Friday hat) gave their thoughts on the Mayweather/Show match.

-At WrestleMania, Randy Orton defends his title against Triple H and John Cena in a triple-threat match. Some backstage pre-taped comments with Triple H aired. He cut a serious promo, ending with a warning to his competitors: “Game on!”

[Break]

(2) Mr. Kennedy vs. Finlay
Before the match started, JBL came on the Titan-Tron. JBL said he wanted to put Finlay in the hospital next to Hornswoggle. Finlay still had his shillaleigh in his hand, and as soon as the bell rang, Finlay got a look in his eye and hit Kennedy with the wooden stick for the DQ.

Winner: Kennedy, via DQ at :12.

Finlay continued the beating outside the ring, jamming the shillaleigh into Kennedy’s ribs. Referees tried to pull Kennedy out of the ring to no avail. Finally they got in the ring and restrained Fit. As the ref’s tried to help Kennedy up in the aisle, Finlay came from behind and continued his onslaught. The timing of the breaks has been odd, as they went to commercial in mid-sentence for what felt like at least the second time.

[Break]

-A video (perhaps the same as last week’s?) on WWE’s work with the Make-A-Wish Foundation aired. It focused on John Cena’s extensive work with the Foundation, as next month, he’ll be granting his 100th wish. Say what you will about Cena, but that is pretty cool.

(3) Jeff Hardy vs. Chris Jericho- Intercontinental Title Match
JR quickly announced that this is NOT a WrestleMania rewind match. O...kay. It was signed because of what happened in the Highlight Reel with Chris Jericho last week. JR actually built up the IC Title a bit, talking about it’s prestige. The two traded slaps, then right hands. Some brawling early on, then Jeff landed his double-leg drop to the mid-section. Hardy was sent to the outside as it looked like Jericho had some bruising under his right eye. Break time!

[Break]

Jericho had the advantage out of break. He missed a corner charge though, one that sent him over the top and to the outside. Hardy dropkicked Jericho through the ropes. Hardy ran the rails, but Jericho guided him into the announce table in a tight-looking spot. “Y2J” chant from the crowd. Hardy played dead in the ring as Jericho jumped over the top rope and landed a splash on Hardy for a two-count. Back–breaker and some “ask him!”’s from Jericho. Rake of the eyes by Jeff out of desperation broke the hold. Jericho choked Hardy on the middle rope, which included standing on his back, which drew some boos. Lariat out of nowhere put both men down. Jericho tried a face-buster, but Jeff dodged it and hit a Whisper in the Wind. Northern Lights suplex by Jericho for two. A bridge out and a pinning combination got two for Jeff. Hardy missed his corner dropkick and Jericho went to the top. Flying bodypress by Jericho and a roll-through by Hardy for two. Twist of Fate blocked, Lionsault hit and a very near-fall. More “Y2J” chants. Suplex by Jeff was blocked and the Walls of Jericho were ALMOST applied and Hardy rolled Jericho up for two. Crowd was really getting into it. Twist of Fate finally connected and Jeff went to the top. Swanton missed and Jericho hit the Codebreaker for three!

Winner: Jericho, at 11:03. Interesting. JR noted it was Jericho’s record-setting eighth IC Title reign. That sound you heard was the air going out of Jeff Hardy’s push (and momentum, for that matter). Very good match.

-Triple H vs. Kane is coming up tonight in a WrestleMania rewind match. Next though, a WrestleMania 1 rewind tag match, as Nikolai Volkoff and Iron Sheik were in the back heading to the ring! What, no Sheik promo?

[Break]

(4) Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff vs. Barry Windham & Mike Rotundo
Volkoff sang the Russian National Anthem. Sheik got on the mic and did his “USA, hock ptooey!” routine. Windham and Rotundo came out to Jamie Noble’s old music. Before the match started, Jillian Hall came out. She said she wasn’t even born when they fought at WrestleMania I. She said the U.S Express (Rotundo & Windham) came out to “Born In the USA” way back when. She said they couldn’t even afford the rights to the song, because they’re has-beens. So she tried to sing it for us. Rotundo picked her up and gave her the airplane spin. And apparently, there’s no match. Not sure why. Other than, you know, the obvious.

Winners: No match.

-JR segued into the Hall-of Fame and sent it to backstage to Mike Adamle, in what’s probably a pre-taped segment. Tonight’s inductees: Jack and Gerry Brisco. The requisite video package aired.

[Break]

-Tonight, Money Mayweather and Big Show will have their official weigh-in. I don’t know what constitutes an “official” weigh-in as opposed to an “un-official” one. A video package on Big Show throwing people around played.

-We got highlights of Kane vs. Triple H from 1999. Back to the present, Kane was standing backstage, staring into space. Randy Orton walked up to Kane and tried to fire him up for tonight. Kane grabbed him by the throat and told him he doesn’t need a history lesson. As Kane let go, Orton looked satisfied. Some more black screen, then a Kane vs. Triple H match-up on-screen, and it’s next.

[Break]

-John Legend, who was recently on “The Colbert Report,” will perform “America The Beautiful” at WrestleMania.

(4) Triple H vs. Kane
Kane bested Trips to start, and even a Triple H kick had no effect on him. The Game got whipped into the turnbuckle, and went over the top to the floor. Kane then slammed Trips’ head off the announce table. Triple H reversed and sent Kane into the ring post. Boy JR is struggling on commentary tonight. Elbow to the back of Kane’s head. Kane came back with a boot to the face and a seated dropkick. Kane continued hitting his pet moves and speaking of which, Triple H caught Kane coming off the rope and gave him a spinebuster. Right hands by Trips, then a face-buster. Pedigree was predictably reversed into a back body-drop. When was the last time he won on the first attempt of that move? Aside from his matches against Cade & Murdoch. HHH countered a chokeslam and set up for the Pedigree. He then saw Randy Orton, who had come out to the ramp to observe the match. That caused Kane to take over and hit a sidewalk slam. Off the top, Kane got kicked in the stomach and HHH successfully hit the Pedigree for the win.

Winner: Triple H, at 5:38.

[Break]

-Triple-Threat match at WrestleMania for the WWE Title. A promo by John Cena aired, shot similarly to the Triple H one earlier. Cena mentioned how he came back early from his injury and how he respects Orton for his accomplishments. He put over the WrestleMania name and said rest assured, his time will come again.

(5) Melina vs. Maria
Melina chided Candice Michelle for not fighting tonight, then said instead of a WrestleMania re-match, it would be a WM pre-match. Maria then came out. Candice was in Maria’s corner, and Beth in Melina’s. Maria hit a jumping kick to the chest, then rolled up Melina for one. Maria got kicked in the side of the head, then snap-mared Melina over. Maria started choking Melina in the corner as Santino Marella came out, “Playboy” in hand. Jaw-breaker by Maria and she landed some forearms. Things broke down as Santino got on the apron. He had the magazine open and ripped it up in front of Maria. Melina kicked Maria in the ribs and landed her finisher for the pin.

Winner: Melina, at 2:02.

Candice Michelle went in the ring to check on Maria. Phoenix took her down, then Santino raised Melina and Beth’s hands in triumph.

-A video package on Big Show vs. Floyd Mayweather aired. Some clips from the press conference and some behind-the-scenes footage with Floyd was included. The weigh-in is next.

[Break]

-“Here comes the money” started playing and Shane-O-Mac strutted out. Shane acted all official on the mic, then brought out Big Show. Show shook Shane’s hand in the ring. As soon as Floyd’s name was mentioned, the boos started. He came out with plenty of friends. Floyd weighed in first, after playing to the crowd. 159 pounds for Mayweather. Show weighed in on the digital scale at 441.4. Shane wanted a photo-op but Show grabbed the mic. Show noted that Floyd brought out his posse, so he’s bringing out his. Seemingly the entire locker room poured out, including Carlito, Bob Holly, viscera and Matt Striker, Shelton Benjamin, chuck Palumbo, Cody Rhodes, Snitsky, Lance Cade, Trevor Murdoch, Paul Birchall, Brian Kendrick, Kofi Kingston, Charlie Haas, Super Crazy and Tommy Dreamer. Floyd was going crazy with anger in the ring. Show said he told Floyd no one in the locker room liked him. Show said there are two scenarios: He could have pity on Floyd, beat him, embarrass him, but let him live to fight another day. The other: Show would make sure Floyd would never box again. Show gave Floyd the mic and chants of “you suck” started. Mayweather took out some bills and started flicking them at Show. Floyd said he respected what Show has done in WWE, but not as a human being. The “what” chants started. Floyd said Show has to catch him first. He threatened to break Show’s nose again. Or, break his jaw. Floyd and his posse began to leave, but Show grabbed Floyd, lifted him over his head, and threw him onto about four wrestlers on the outside. Pushing-and-shoving began between the two groups as Floyd headed to the locker room holdings his shoulder. Shane got pushed to the ground in the melee. Interesting, but neither guy is really positioned as the face, which hurts things including crowd reactions.

[Break]

-Clips of what just happened aired.

-JR and King previewed a few WrestleMania matches. Then we got a soundbite with Randy Orton to finish things out. He said if you combine the strongest attributes of both his opponents, you get Randy Orton. He has one thing neither man has though: the title.

-Edge came out with his EdgeHeads for a match. It will be next.

[Break]

(6) Edge vs. CM Punk
This could be a money match down the line. Some mat wrestling to start by Punk. Dropkick by Edge and a cover for two. Edge worked over Punk quite slowly and Punk got two knees to the face on suplex attempts. Knee-lift followed. Punk used his educated feet then hit a springboard clothesline for a near-fall. Running knee in the corner, but Edge hit a DDT. Punk got Edge up for the GTS but one of the EdgeHeads distracted him, allowing Edge to spear Punk for the victory.

Winner: Edge, at 3:59. My, has Punk fallen. Sad, really.

[Break]

-Lillian Garcia introduced William Regal, who was in mid-ring. He talked about the battle for brand supremacy at WrestleMania. He seemed quite confident in Raw’s man, Umaga. We got a video package on him as well. The production team is certainly earning their keep this week, with all the video packages we’ve seen thus far. He then brought Umaga out. Regal was bad-mouthing Batista, so The Animal cameo ut. The two came to blows and as Umaga was about to hit the thumb to the throat, Batista spinebustered him. Regal and a few officials had to keep Umaga from charging back into the ring. Eh, I was hoping they’d keep’em apart until WrestleMania.

-Highlights of last year’s WrestleMania main event aired. Tonight, Michaels faces Cena...and it’s next.

[Break]

-Mr. McMahon will be honored this Friday at 11:30 AM with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

-JR noted that Floyd Mayweather has an injured elbow from the altercation with Big Show earlier in the night. Well, he came up holding the elbow, but looked like he was holding his neck as he went to the back.

(7) Shawn Michaels vs. John Cena
Crowd must be burnt out, because I’m not hearing much of a reaction for Shawn. Did JR just say “WWF Champion Randy Orton?” Maybe not...it HAS been almost three hours of transcribing. Mat wrestling and counters dominated the opening minute. Front chancery by HBK. Cena tried to throw him off, but HBK held on. The fans weren’t loud, but they were buzzing. Michaels tried to apply his leg lock, but Cena countered and almost put on the STFU, but Shawn reached the ropes. He took a breather on the outside as the show took its final break.

[Break]

Chris Jericho move #456 (arm-bar) was used by Cena on Michaels out of break. Swinging neck-breaker by HBK. Michaels chopped and Cena punched. Shoulder take-down by Cena, and another. Michaels side-stepped a Cena charge and John went over the top rope and to the floor. Chop-block by Michaels as Cena re-entered the squared circle. He contorted the leg of Cena on the mat. Cena finally kicked Michaels away from him and into the turnbuckle. He got laid on his stomach across the top, as only he can do. Five-Knuckle Shuffle found the mark. Michaels countered the FU and the two traded roll-ups. Belly-to-back suplex by Michaels. JR called this a human chess match. Flair flip in the corner by Michaels, but he came out with a clothesline as the two collided hard in mid-ring. Flying jalapeno by Michaels and he proceeded to hit his signature moves. To the top rope and an elbowdrop landed on the chest of Cena. HBK began to tune up the band, but Cena grabbed the leg and tried to lock in the STFU. Instead, Michaels rolled around until he could snatch Cena’s leg and put him in his leg lock. Cena was able to reach the ropes, though. Cena was on the outside and Michaels hit a springboard moonsault off the middle rope. The two fought it out on the outside and Cena was pushed into the ring post. Then, Orton came out and attacked Cena for the DQ.

Winner: Cena via DQ, at 15:54. Honestly, quite slow, but I thought it was pretty decent.

Orton got a chair and was going to RKO Cena onto it, but Cena got out of it and FU’d Orton.

-Triple H, watching on a backstage monitor, announced that since next week is his turn, he’s going to put Cena and Orton in the ring. But as tag team partners. He said the opponents will be the entire Raw roster. Trips should no better than anyone that that still isn’t going to work.

Oh my god, Heel Mayweather as the pro wrestling invader is so ... uh, what's a word for a medium of exchange or measure of wealth. What great greatness.

save_us.IC8. the Jeff/Jericho matches rule, but reversing spots (on the card, not in the match) with Jeff Hardy probably wasn't part of Chris' comeback plan.

aaaaand Cena sprains his knee. perfect.

I am pretty sure tonight WWE was trying to re-position Big Show as the face in this matchup, since it is becoming clear that there's no way Floyd Mayweather is going to draw any cheers. And they are making this wrestling vs. boxing. I think this dynamic will ultimately work, as Mayweather may not be able to draw cheers, but he certainly draws heat.

Does the unwritten rules of handicap matches mean that Cena and Orton is actually going to go over the whole Raw roster next week?

- I found Vince McMahon's actual son. He was in that Just for Men commercial.

- Do Randy and John have to fight Beth Phoenix too?

- Phloyd sells better than half of WWE.

- Do Randy and John have to fight Jerry Lawler too?

- Good career decision Carlito. Any fake holes you can climb into? (Still hate smart [read: bitch] Maria.)

- Create-your-own-joke: Super Crazy. ECW. Money. Go.

- Once again, for being a student of the game, HHH sure gets distracted easily. Thank god it was Kane.

Thank the good lord they just hit the reset button on Show/Mayweather, since the "us vs them" storyline is more naturally suited for a wrestler vs boxer match where the boxer can't stop being a heel. Show wasn't being particularly heelish there either; I think that was as good a face turn as we can get for an angle that started with him beating on an injured Rey. Def a step in the right direction for an angle that seemed to be losing steam.

I wouldn't say that WHOOSH was Hardy's push going away either; seems more likely that taking the belt off him is a step towards him winning MITB and cashing in sooner rather than later.

The Jericho return is turning out to be one of those embarrassing events in wrestling you kind of wish wasn't happening. The push hasn't been great, but Jericho hasn't brought that breath of fresh air most people thought would come sweeping through the WWE door along with him. He's just Chris Jericho with short hair and for some reason that just isn't good enough.

It's still early, but I think that the younger and newer fans might be giving him 'X-Pac Heat', but it could be more like modern day Mick Foley heat as well.

I'm glad it's happening because his matches with Orton and Jeff and work with Michaels in the Elimination Chamber were so good. But holding the IC title again is pretty embarrassing and most top guys wouldn't let the midcard belts be put on them. Benoit loved his U.S. title until the very end and looked what happened to him.

But Jericho's a sport. I think he's gonna have to turn on Jeff after Mania to get things going again. It probably also stings that Big Show re-signed just three months after Chris did and he's in a Wrestlemania main event.

I think you may need to leave out the "cheers" at the end of your statement.

I didn't get to see RAW, but from the recap it doesn't seem like it was much of a rewind. I thought every match was going to be a rewind, but then that might negate having Orton as GM for a week.

Obviously the Flair/HBK segment was awesome, but I especially love how Michaels was able to effortless flip the switch from promo-machine to goof, and he was able to pull it off so that it didn't hurt the previous 10 minutes.

The biggest problem with the gogoplata is that it doesn't fit Undertaker at all. The Undertaker is traditionally not usually someone who sneaks out a win by being a ring veteran (with the notable exception of the ol' ten-punch count into a Last Ride) or by being a great technical wrestler. The Undertaker is an unstoppable force, a powerful machine that will not stop until his opponent is finished off.

I like to think that Finlay beating the crap out of Kennedy was actually long-delayed revenge for Kennedy plunging Hornswaggle at Mania. Then I like to think that the later Smackdown where Finlay didn't give a shit about Kennedy doing so never happened.

Jericho/Hardy was good (although it seemed to be missing something that kept it from being great). Still, if you had told me right before Jericho returned that he would win the IC title as part of the build to him being in the MitB again, I would have said you were crazy. If you had said after Hardy's monster swanton leading to the Rumble that Hardy would lose two straight clean pins to Jericho, I would have been saddened (but believed you).

Is it said that hearing Sheik was going to wrestle was the deciding factor on me watching Raw tonight? Also, Volkoff has a surprisingly good voice. And.... THERE'S the Umaga run-in. Beautiful. Kind of a shame we didn't get the fun off seeing Sheik sell a thumb. (Wait, that's not what happened? What a rip-off!)

No mention of Jerry's hardcore reign?

Wow, Orton's talk to Kane was the exact opposite of how you build someone up so that the person who beats him looks impressive. No buys. Especially since Kane actually won that Mania match, via DQ.

One thing I love that Wrestlemania is that it is the traditional climax to near year-long stories. So why aren't we getting Beth/Candace in a meaningful match? Or for that matter, MVP and Matt Hardy in a 1-on-1 (although I'm sure Matt will make it in the MitB; still not the same)?

I really don't care if Floyd is coming off as a heel. As long as the build and story is strong (which it has been, for the most part), it doesn't matter if the face/heel line is shady. (Then again, I'm an unabashed lover of the Cena dynamic, so your mileage may vary.) I especially love that Floyd is clearly attempting to be the heel, whether WWE likes it or not. Although if the rub provided by Big Daddy V and Lance Cade can't keep Big Show hated, nothing can.

Cute finish to the Edge/Punk match. I also really liked Punk's reversal out of the vertical suplex.

Was I the only one who heard Orton announce Flair vs. Kane for tonight?

Kennedy's beating almost looked like punishment. I wonder who he pissed off to deserve what he got.

I don't own Wrestlemania 1 (or is that merely called WRESTLEMANIA?) on VHS or DVD, but at least I remember that Windham and Rotunda didn't have theme music during their match. In fact, wasn't REAL AMERICAN originally their theme song before it was taken by Hogan?

One of the top things I'm looking forward to at WM is the inevitable mic battle between Santino and Snoop, and that's going to be great, too.

According to PWInsider, the Mayweather/Show confrontation started turning into a shoot...

edit: since that site is advertising hell...

RAW SEGMENT NEARLY TURNS INTO FULL BLOWN SHOOT
    by Mike Johnson @ 2008-03-11 00:11:52

For those of you who thought the wild scene at the end of the Big Show-Floyd Mayweather Jr. weigh-in segment on Raw last night looked like a legit brawl, that's because it pretty much was one.

According to several WWE sources, the segment went as planned, but several members Mayweather's "Posse" went into business for themselves trying to show how tough they were. The WWE wrestlers at ringside went back at them briefly, although from the camera angles, most of the physicality was lost on the viewing audience.

One wrestler involved commented that Mayweather's crew, "got their asses handed to them". Another noted that the company was "10 seconds away from a legitimate beatdown taking place on live TV."

Shane McMahon was legitimately knocked down in the fray and there was a lot of tension between the two sides backstage after the segment.

Forget the Big Show, did you see the size of the biggest bodyguard Floyd had?

They won't them get too close to Show but it wouldn't surprise if that one bodyguard isn't bigger than Show.

A great segment and The Big Show really can work the microphone and a crowd like no super-heavyweight has ever been able to do.

I think they had to change the angle because Big Show comes across as so likeable.

So does Jericho winning the TC belt mean we will finally get a title defense at WM? Oh wait, never mind. No one wants that belt for a lot of reasons, and that has to be one of them.

I don't think Melina's finisher really hurts, but I like it.

Thank God they let Floyd go full on heel, this angle was dying a slow death before last night. Now it is half way interesting again. Either way, I am still sold on WM 24 for HBK-Flair, and Edge-Undertaker, so whatever happens on the rest of the card doesn't really bother me. But I do still hope we get MVP-Matt.

EDIT: F#$k it, Jeffy's been suspended now. I guess I'd be downing hallucinogens/painkillers/obviously-something-besides-roids if my bosses had squelched any push the fans thought I deserved, too.

They need Finkle to introduce the Soviet National Anthem.
Windham and Rotundo had Born in the USA as their theme. Real American was supposed to be for Windham and Rotundo, but Windham left the company to go back to Florida, Rotundo and Spivey used Real American once or twice, and then Hogan took it because the theme to his cartoon show that replaced Eye of the Tiger really sucked.
2008-1985=23, not 24 years. Plus, the rematch was Windham and Rotundo winning on an illegal reversal of an illegal reversal of a small package. I actually did want to see the match occur last night though, rather than having it be some excuse for 'a not worth the price to Spitzer' to show up.
I thought the Mayweather segment was designed to give them a way out of the match. And, Vince's son really needs to patronize their sponson 'Just for Men'.
I liked the Flair promo, but, I really want that 1 real special Flair promo in the next 2 weeks. The one where he goes, 'I've beaten Wahoo, I've beaten the Von Erich boys, I've beaten big, bad Bruiser Brody' etc. Just let him go completely wild on the mic one last time.

Yeah, I clearly heard someone ask, "Are you alright??" to Shane after he took a tumble. Definitely sounded legit concerned and like it wasn't planned.

I noticed the size of the one posse member too. Made me wonder if he'd take a beatdown as part of the build-up, but I guess not any more with Show as the face.

I would have loved to have seen Hardcore Holly lay some of those dudes out ...

He would still get a decent pop with a bit of promos IMO. He is 40+ with a family. Its really the schedule that's too much.
