TONIGHT: No Way Out fallout, plus Hornswoggle vs. Vince in a steel cage and an appearance by Floyd Mayweather. Also, we’ll hear from Maria on her Playboy decision and the first Class of 2008 WWE Hall-of-Famer will be announced. Let’s get to it!

-WWE Open.

-LIVE from Anaheim, California, Triple H’s music started the show off. According to his chyron, he’s “#1 contender for Wrestlemania.” That’s an odd way of putting it. He said he was happy tonight because last year, he wasn’t able to participate in WrestleMania. He said he’ll be 12-time champion at WM. Randy Orton’s music interrupted. Orton came to the ring, mic in hand. Before he could get four words out, a “you suck” chant started. Orton listed off all his opponents since he won the title, saying things had come full circle. He accused Triple H of being jealous and Trips just laughed. Orton was interrupted by Cena’s music. Cena claimed Orton was the first champ to be a liar and a loser. The then said Orton brought disgrace to the title and that Orton is also the first champ to lose his way into WrestleMania. Cena suggested a rematch tonight. Orton looked to Trips to bash Cena, saying it should be he and Trips at WM. Trips said he doesn’t care which one he will face. William Regal came out. He said Trips is a lock at WM, but Orton’s actions last night reflect poorly on the Raw brand and the general manager. There will be a rematch tonight, but non-title. If Cena wins, it’ll be a triple-threat match for the belt at WM. Triple H wasn’t happy and neither were the fans. In tonight’s match, The Game will be the guest referee. Good segment, and I’ve noticed that the promos have seemingly been better-scripted lately.

[Break]

-It’ll be Cena vs. Orton tonight, as well as Hornswoggle vs. Vince in a cage match.

(1) Jeff Hardy vs. Snitsky, Money In The Bank qualifying match
Hardy had new music, from the band EndeavorAfter. They were at ringside. Hardy grimaced as he went to the ring, selling last night’s match. Snitsky worked over Hardy to start. Jeff took to long getting to the top and Snitsky booted him off and to the outside.

[Break]

Hardy was in a bearhug upon return. It was all Snitsky as Jeff could barely stand, but Gene couldn’t finish things. Three running elbowdrops still couldn’t put Jeff away. Loose headlock by Snitsky and the fans were getting restless. Whisper in the Wind barely caught Snitsky. Big boot off a blocked Twist of Fate got two. Pump-Handle slam was blocked by Jeff and the Twist landed, as did the Swanton for the three-count.

Winner: Hardy at 10:29. Bowling-shoe ugly.

-Jerry Lawler did some mobile voting, answering whether Maria should pose for Playboy. I think we know King’s vote.

-Floyd Mayweather was backstage talking to Rey. He’ll be in the arena tonight!

[Break]

-Mike Adamle was in the ring. He brought out Shawn Michaels for a special Hall-of-Fame announcement. JR said he couldn’t say enough about “that young man.” Adamle was out when HBK was in the ring…guess he’s playing the part that the diva search losers are playing on Smackdown. Ouch. HBK presented the first inductee. The fans started to “Woo!” before he even threw it to the video package. After the video on Ric Flair aired, Michaels seemed to have teared up. He asked the fans to join him in a “Woo!” Of course, they obliged.

-Tonight, it’s Cena vs. Orton with Triple H as special guest ref.

[Break]

-This Sunday, before the Oscars, WWE.com will present the top 10 Slammy Awards moments. What current fans even remember the Slammies?

(2) Paul Birchall vs. Super Crazy
We got an inset interview with Paul and Katie Lea, with them talking about their genes. “Paul the Pirate” chants from the crowd. Birchall dominated the match and finished with the Curb Stomp.

Winner: Birchall at 1:51. Eh. An okay squash.

-Big Show was talking to Shane McMahon backstage. Their segment is next.

[Break]

-Triple H was backstage talking on his phone. Orton walked up and said Cena doesn’t deserve the title or a shot at WM. He reminded Trips what happened two years ago at the big show. Hunter told Orton he was the one that taught him to play these mind games.

-Highlights from the Show/Floyd segment from last night aired.

-Big Show came out. He said hew as asked to come out and apologize. Show asked Mayweather to come out to the ring. He did, flanked by his entourage. He got plenty of boos. Floyd said he loves publicity and said he’s sorry things ended up like they did. Show apologized too, then extended his hand. Floyd shook it. As Floyd was leaving, Show said to hold on because he had to get something off his chest. He said even on his knees, he’s bigger than Mayweather. If he wanted to, he could take Floyd out in two minutes. Show asked for Floyd to take him on, 1-on-1. Floyd ran back to the ring and took off his sweatshirt. He inched toward Show. Mayweather accepted the deal. He feigned a punch at Show, who flinched. Floyd grinned and nodded, backing away and out of the ring. The segment was okay, but the crowd not accepting Floyd as a face hurt.

[Break]

-JR & King discussed the future Mayweather vs. Show match.

-A video package on past MITB Ladder Matches aired.

(3) Mr. Kennedy vs. Val Venis- Money In The Bank qualifying match
Kennedy has new music too. It’s about ten times worse than his other one, which ruled. Kennedy worked Venis’ left arm the entire match. Venis is making his return tonight from elbow surgery. Venis tried to roll out of an arm-bar but KK stayed with it. Mic Check finished it easily.

Winner: Kennedy at 2:30. Total throw-away action.

-Still to come, Cena vs. Orton with Triple H as the ref. It’s the main event.

-The cage began to lower for the Hornswoggle vs. Vince match. It is next.

[Break]

(4) Vince McMahon vs. Hornswoggle- Steel Cage Match
Finlay tried to talk Vince out of it before the match. As he stood near the door talking to Vince, JBL came out of nowhere, in his ring gear, and slammed the door on Finlay. He beat up the Irishman and handcuffed him to the top rope. Vince took of his belt and slapped Hornswoggle on the bottom. He even slapped Fit with it. Not quite as uncomfortable as Vince making Trish bark like a dog in her underwear, but close. Vince then slapped Horny four or five times with the belt. He then left the ring and JBL grabbed Hornswoggle and threw him face-first into the cage as Finlay begged JBL to take it out on him instead. Where’s Jericho in all this? JBL landed an elbowdrop then hit a fall-away slam, ramming Horny into the cage with it. Vince looked on with a shocked look on his face. He finally told JBL that was enough. He then called for some help for Hornswoggle. Vince told Horny he was sorry, but Finlay yelled and called him a liar. Effective segment, but it won’t suit many people’s tastes. Finlay really played his part well.

Winner: No Match.

[Break]

-A replay aired of what just happened.

-During the break, Finlay carried Hornswoggle to the back. JR called it one of the most disturbing things he’s ever seen.

-And to completely switch gears, Maria & Santino came out. 94% of the mobile votes thought Maria should pose for Playboy. Santino had great news- that Maria was going to be in Playboy! He even had the contract with him. His other good news was that Maria was fighting Beth Phoenix tonight. Maria seemed surprised and was not dressed to compete. Just before the match started Santino, at ringside, was looking over the contract. He found something bad. He said in small print the contract stipulated that Maria had to beat Beth to be able to pose for the mag.

(4) Maria vs. Beth Phoenix
As Beth dominated, Santino seemed to be talking to himself at ringside. Back-breaker by Beth. Maria fought back but ended up getting powerslammed. Somehow, she kicked out. Beth screamed, “are you crazy, girl?” at her. As she picked Maria up again, Candice Michelle came out. Maria slipped out of the slam and rolled Beth up for three thanks to the distraction. Santino faked happiness for Maria.

Winner: Maria at 1:59. I know it wasn’t CLEAN clean, but I would’ve saved Beth’s first loss for something a bit important.

-Backstage, Triple H put on his referee shirt. The main event is next!

[Break]

(5) Randy Orton vs. John Cena
Orton leap-frogged Cena in the corner, then popped the former champ with a right hand. Closed fists and no warning from Triple H. Crowd rained down boos on both men. Orton knocked Cena off the apron and Cena hit hard on the announce table on the outside.

[Break]

Cena slammed Orton for two. Regular count by Hunter. Orton went outside the ring and was in a daze as he appeared to be looking for his belt. Cena went out and brought him back in. DDT with Cena’s feet o the ropes by Orton. Ugly powerslam from Randy for two. Orton kicked at Cena’s lower leg area and still couldn’t pin him. Orton pounded away with right hands in the corner. Cena came back with his pet moves. Orton grabbed the ropes to block an FU. Orton dropped to the outside and brought Cena’s throat down on the top rope. Orton missed a charge and fell over the top to the outside. After taking out Cena there, Orton slithered back into the ring. His RKO was dodged and Cena locked the STFU in. Orton got to the ropes. Cena & Trips argued face-to-face. Cena grabbed a running Orton and hit him with the FU and garnered the pin.

Winner: Cena at 9:03.

-Right after the match, Triple H pedigreed Cena. He did the same to Orton when the champ came to. Not a good show, but the crowd didn't help.

- I'm not a big fan of where they are going with the perverted Vince McMahon child abuse angle. If they booked Hornswaggle as an actual midget and not a little kid I'd be okay with it. They're sending a strange messege to a large part of their audience.

Finlay kept it from being a total disaster, but he doesn't need a crappy angle like this either.

- I'm excited to see what Show can do in the ring now that he is so much lighter looking, a shame it will probably be awhile until we actually see him do some wrestling.

The rest of Raw was there for better or worse.

Boy the Hornwaggle bit just sucked. As I said earlier it's OK for Vince to be a dick but this was fucking asshole territory. Otherwise the show did move us toward WM but wasn't very entertaining doing it.

- I know the PWTorch crew is incredibly excited about this Floyd Merriweather bit, and think it's a huge money angle, but I just don't care. I'm not a boxing fan, I knew his name but had no idea he has a huge win streak and is one of the top stars currently. I wasn't sure if he was supposed to be the face in that segment...the Outsider coming into the 'E with a huge posse surrounding him doesn't seem like the face to cheer vs. one of 'our' guys. Nice continuity that Shane-O-Mac and the Show have a history together though...

- I also hope the Show moves to SD! after WM...they don't need one more Upper Carder on RAW. Speaking of...no Jericho tonight?

- Beth Phoenix...or American Gladiator HELLGA?

- So are we getting Vince & JBL vs. Finlay & Hornswoggle at WM?

I know it has been mentioned already but the crowd was pretty awful tonight. Don't know how much you can ask from a crowd though, after giving them 12 minutes of Snitsky stealing everyones oxygen.

At first listen, Kennedy, Hardy and Big Show should all go back to their old music. Jeff really needed new music, so maybe this one will grow on me.

Good storyline show though.

Mayweather jumping in the ring with the entourage to accept the challenge killed him as a face.
At least Jericho is now away from Bradshaw, and can focus on the legendary match against Snitsky at Mania over what brand of toilet paper should be used backstage.
I guess Playboy trumps winning streaks. Perhaps it will be some diva eventually who ends Taker's Mania winning streak.
Arn needs to induct Flair. Also, off-beat hearing Lawler call Flair the first active wrestler to enter the Hall of Fame, as it can be argued that Lawler could still be considered an active wrestler and he was enshrined last year.
Weird timing to change Hardy's music.

If they had announced that band that did Hardy's new theme in the arena, they would have instantly become the biggest heels in the place. That shit is weak.

Yeah. It's so HHH though. In fact, Flair might turn heel on Shawn for putting him in the Hall instead of Hunter.

I thought that Vince/Hornswoggle was a Hell Of A Deal. I was like oh shit, I forgot he wasn't a baby. Finlay was astounding.

So is Mayweather/Show going to be a boxing match? With his total domination of Ricky Hatton still fresh in my mind, I'm very excited about his involvement at Wrestlemania. Being from the So Cal area, I can definitely say Floyd Mayweather isn't a crowd favorite out here (this is Oscar De La Hoya country) and they turned on him quickly when he ran back to the ring with his entourage in tow.

The wheels are in place for Jeff Hardy to win MitB. If he does, here's hoping he takes off to SmackDown! If Edge snaps Undertaker's winning streak at Wrestlemania, a Jeff/Edge feud for the title could be huge.

I agree that the crowd was a bit out of it. Of course, it's understandable when they get a 10-minute Snitsky match, a Val Venis match (I like Val, but let's keep him on Heat), the Paul Burchill incest angle, and an extended midget beatdown. I would have been shocked if the crowd stayed awake at all after this mess of a show.

Thumbs up to Jeff's new music and a major thumbs down to Kennedy's.

A correction to geemoney, Beth Phoenix actually lost already to Candice Michelle on PPV. Speaking of which I think it says something about the show when the second most interesting thing on the show was Candice returning. Seriously, the entire WM main event angle was lots of FFwd material for me. 2/3 of the group puts me to sleep.

I am however intrigued by the progress of the angle with Show and Mayweather. I have a sense that no matter how much the powers that be may want the Raw title match to be the main focus that this is going to be the real main event of WM in terms of drawing money.

Welcome home, men of the 2nd Bn, 127th Inf, 32d "Red Arrow" Brigade, WI Army Nat'l Guard! Good luck to those down south.

Props to Hornswaggle for good bumping. (Of course, with him being one of our own, I'm a little biased.)

I marked out for the Flair video with the old promo where he yells: "You know why I'm the best? 'Cause this says so!" And what's he holding up? The NWA world title. Not the WCW Big Gold, not the WWF Winged Eagle...the honest-go-God Domed Globe NWA world f'n championship.

And, uh, Floyd? It's "publicity," not "plublicity." But I got a huge kick outta Show saying it that same way twice after...I guarantee he did that on purpose as a slight rib that Boxer Boy didn't pick up on.

Show's music isn't new...they switched to that stuff, like, at least a year before he left WWE. Ken said in interviews he likes his new stuff...feels more 80's. Same stupid lyrics, differently annoying tune, says I. Hardy's will grow on me.

As a trained worker I watched the show with tonight pointed out: Orton can work on Cena's limbs all he wants, but he can just pop up and pull out a drop-toehold-into-STFU or F-U driver any damn time he feels like it!? Ugh. F*ck psychology, let's just book him like damn Hogan in '86.

Still can't stand the thought of Orton or HHH walking around with Cena's gimmick spinner bling-bling belt as THE title. Did The Rock or Undertaker do that with Austin's smoking skull belt? No. Stupid kids and their willingness to spend major $$$ at Figures, Inc.'s door.

Oh, and viva Santino's facial expressions.

Unimpressive Raw again.

I'm going to go against the general feeling and I think bringing the Big Show back and his first task is to job to Mayweather is bullshit. No way Mayweather is going to job to Show at Wrestlemania. Boo hiss. Why can't they make him to be the giant that he really is... My first task with Big Show would be for him to destroy Khali at Wrestlemania and proclaim himself as the "true giant".

Waste of air time for a qualifying Money in the Bank match where we know who will win before it starts. Yawn

I think everyone knew Cena was going to win tonight and make it a triple threat match. As soon as Cena showed up in the beginning, I knew where this was heading.

God, I hope the Hornswoggle angle ends when he tags with Finlay against McMahon/JBL at Wrestlemania. (that's where this one is heading)

Will they ever get Beth Phoenix pitted up against real wrestler... even if it's a man????

Given how many past HOFers have come back and wrestled post-induction, you could argue that there are a lot of 'active' wrestlers in the Hall of Fame. Michaels introducing Flair is presumably the first step towards their Mania match, though I'm curious to see what Flair is doing on ECW tomorrow. Putting his career on the line against, like, Kevin Thorn? Ooh, the suspense. Though watch this, he'll probably beat Chavo for the title or something to become a 17-time champ. It'd be worth it just to see Ric Flair in the first-ever ECW title match at Wrestlemania --- Shane Douglas' head would explode.

Geez, after Akebono, you'd think Big Show would've learned a lesson about challenging an athlete in another combat sport to a WM match.

Some of the logic in booking this triple threat match may be try and top the WM20 main event that included Mr. Unspoken as the signature Wrestlemania three-man bout. Good luck with that.

In Cena's defense, this is 'the main event style' that WWE has tried to shove down our throats for years. Translation: push psychology when it comes to preventing smaller wrestler from doing flashy moves to upstage the headliners, but then have said headliners ignore psychology in favour of the superhero comebacks.

EDITED TO ADD...so far, Mania looks this.

Orton/Cena/Triple H for the WWE title
Edge/Undertaker for the World title
Mayweather/Show, maybe with Rey or Shane involved
Finlay and Hornswoggle/Vince and JBL
Hardy/Kennedy/Six other guys in the Money in the Bank....Batista? Jericho? Umaga? MVP? Matt Hardy? Colin Delaney?

“How is it that I am a good actor? What I do is I... pretend to be the person I’m portraying. You’re confused. Case in point: in Lord of the Rings, Peter Jackson comes to me and says ‘I would like you to be Gandalf the Wizard,’ and I said ‘You are aware that I am not really a wizard?’ and Peter Jackson said ‘I would like you to use your acting skills to portray a wizard for the duration of the show.’ So I said ‘Okay’ and then I said to myself ‘Mmm.. How do I do that?’ And this is what I did: I imagined that I was a wizard, and then I pretended, and acted, in that way on the stage. How did I know what to say? The words were written down for me in a script. How did I know where to stand? People told me where to stand." -- Sir Ian McKellen, Extras

Live from Anaheim ...

Heads up for LA regional people: Onsale tomorrow Tues 2/19/08 for SmackDown at Staples Center on (freakin') June 3. Wha? That's only 4 months in advance, before they even officially announce the rumoured PPV in San Diego on June 1. They did this last time with LA area shows, where they announced an imminent onsale at the show. I can only guess that they're trying to avoid scalpers & such, & give the real fans a chance at the tickets first. Good concept, if you happen to be there.

"Bonus Match"
-- Jim Duggan vs. Highlander Robbie: Duggan's offence primarily consists of hailing the crowd to chant "USA". Robbie gamely trying to be useful, while still jobbing. Not a blazing start to things.

"Available on wwe.com"
-- Charlie Haas vs. Bob Holly: Cute storyline. (Not anything like TV-worthy, but cute.) Charlie, formerly half of the World's Greatest Tag Team & protege' to Kurt Angle, spends the first third of the match gettin' beat like a gover'mnt mule all over the ring. He bails & ducks under the ring. While Holly seems confused, Charlie does a full wardrobe change, & emerges, masked, from the other side of the ring. The referee, without hesitation, carries on. However, Masked Charlie suddenly starts to mop up the place with Holly! Quelle surprise! Holly simply unmasks Charlie, & he goes back to wrestling for crap. Ah, but Charlie has a plan: he pulls out anothermask from under his singlet! Holly grabs that one, & puts it on himself. Charlie gets Alabama slammed by the masked Holly. (I hate this angle -- Charlie's too cute to need to wear a mask to wrestle well!!)

-- Melina vs. Mickie James: Melina's a SoCal girl, & the locals remember that. Melina is doing all the solid technical wrestling work, & Mickie still scares me. Melina does an excellent take of a spinning DDT for a Mickie James win. (I still assert that Melina is the most underrated female worker.)

-- Cade w/ Murdoch vs. Kendrick w/ London: Pretty entertaining match, actually. Cade is really a pretty decent worker. And he's certainly continuing to put for the effort. (Compare & contrast with the next match.) He was being a smidge cartoonish, but that's not all bad. London was seconding his ass off, & Murdoch isn't bad at rousing up some heel heat. Kendrick tried a backslide on Cade, a big frog splash, & a submission hold (Jeez, I'm bad at the names of moves. It's not a camel clutch, not a crossface. You have the opponents arms crossed in front of his own neck, making it not quite a chokehold.) All to no avail. Fun stuff.

-- Carlito vs. Cody Rhodes: Uh, Cody needs more time in the minors before he can work with somebody who doesn't give a crap either way.

"Raw ..."

It'll be interesting to see how the promos continue to play out. HHH can move a crowd around at will, Cena is charismatic as all hell, & Randy is ... better than he used to be! He's still struggling a bit too much to be up as the heel against those two.

On his way out, with Cena long gone, HHH did the "you can't see me" gesture, immediately followed by the "suck it" gesture. Crowd fell apart. :-)

Crowd hot for Jeff Hardy. But then Snitsky??? Crowd killer #1: We're just waiting for Jeff to rally. Bad match-up, bad psychology. Who thought this would be a good idea? I don't hate Snitsky particularly, but ... why is he still lumbering around? (I believe the usual snarky comment has something to do with blackmail material.)

Thanks, geemoney -- I was wondering who the band was. Jeff was putting them over, but we had no clue who they were.

I actually think it's really cool that they're inducting Ric Flair directly into the HoF at the (presumed) end of the farewell tour. Not quite clear how they're going to manage that the night before his (presumed) WM loss, but I still like the concept. :-)

Did they show the continuous "Woo..." banner that went about a third of the way around the building? They were a little slow getting it deployed, but it was a very cool concept!

Paul Burchill is much more interesting than Snitsky! And nearly as big. (Sister angle notwithstanding.)

Cute segment with Randy pathetically trying to manipulate The Game. Randy, Randy.

Interesting that we're so clearly bringing in this Floyd guy as a heel. Odd booking. But between his entourage (the biggest guy is bigger than Show.) & the punk-ass behaviour, there's no way they expect us to take him as a face. Any Rey Mysterio affiliation is nowhere near enough to offset all that heelism. (At least we're all clear about him just being in it for the publicity.)

We got the full Val Venis entrance, with the towel given to a chick at ringside. Val is such an incredibly solid worker, even though he's just a JTTS these days, & the crowd knew the match outcome was a slam-dunk, Val was still working his ass off! I love that!

I guess Kennedy had laryngitis tonight, eh?

On one hand, I'm glad that Finlay's getting some Vince-level exposure. But this was really lame. And uncomfortable. And dumb. "What a freakin' waste of a cage match" from the crowd got the biggest pop of the segment. Poor Finlay. And adding JBL to the mix doesn't exactly thrill me.

About this point I started to wonder how they were going to get the audience back. Apparently they couldn't figure that out either.

Beth's got such good skills. I'm very saddened they don't have anybody for her to actually work with!

(What, no comments yet on Maria's silver pants? I was sure there'd be drooling.)

"Long-ass commercial break" -- no shit. If there wasn't total crowd ennui before, this interminable break sealed the deal.

Orton/Cena didn't have the crowd support of last night. Didn't have the PPV oomph. Had a 100% foregone conclusion. And, with HHH being a face, didn't even have a shocking swerve. It was fine, but it was way downhill from last night.

No particular after-show. HHH posed & worked the crowd a bit. Ran the "you can't see me" gesture, then "suck it" gesture. Followed by the Orton pose, then "suck it" gesture. That'll be the Time Warp dance for WM24.

Overall, up & down show. Enough fun stuff (barely), but a bit of a letdown for a post-PPV offering.

By the way... The new HD "TitanTron" screen. Excellent!! It was hard to tell last night, since the fake elim chamber stage props were in the way of the screen. But, wow, it's good!

So Charlie Haas's new gimmick is that wearing a mask gives him superpowers? That's just stupid enough that it MIGHT get him over...if he ever appears on TV again, that is.

So Charlie Haas's new gimmick is that wearing a mask gives him superpowers? That's just stupid enough that it MIGHT get him over...if he ever appears on TV again, that is.

If you are going to steal a gimmick from somewhere else why not steal the Victor Prinzim/Captain Chaos gimmick from "Cannonball Run". I'm not sure Haas is a big enough boob to run with the gimmick, but it will probably be funny the first few times I see it.

I get this feeling that they may go with a Batista/Umaga match at WM ... just a gut feeling I have.

I would expect Matt Hardy to return anytime now to challenge MVP for the US title at WM.

pop up, sprint, top rope Angle Slam

Based on the video package as a tease, I believe the remaining Money in the Bank participants are RVD, Booker T, Christian, Bobby Lashley, and Chris Benoit.

I'm not sad that they dropped Jericho/JBL before the big Mania bullrope match, but if Chris ends up in the Money in the Bank match again, I'm thinking frustration might finally set in with how his '08 has gone. Then again, he's always been really great in those multi-dude ladder-die matches.

Big shock, they decided to do MITB instead of coming up with something original to do for the biggest show of the year. I know you can't have great qualifying matchups, but couldn't we find a little better threats than Snitsky and Super Crazy??

I like Big Show's remixed version much better, but hated the new and old versions of KK's. Jeff's will probably grow on me. I am not up on all the latest cool bands, but are those who did his new theme very well known?

I would assume that Shawn announcing Flair into the Hof will kick start their feud, as we apparently will not get the much desired HBK-Jeff ladder match at WM.

I was glad to see Burchill use that move this week as his finisher, it was much more impressive last week than the Roll of the Dice.

Even though I did not see the PPV, I liked what I heard about the Show-Mayweather confrontation. But last night, I remembered hearing that Show wanted to get into boxing, and I can't imagine a current boxing World champion being allowed to get into a shoot fight with a wrestler, so I assume we will get a retread of Piper vs. Mr. T at WM 2. I hope not, but what else could they do.

Maybe I am wrong, but it seems to me that the main event if WM features 3 guys who the fans can't agree upon, or don't really care about. I mean really, outside of DX, do the fans REALLY like HHH? They certainly aren't entirely behind Cena, and could care less if Orton is there or not. This is making me really not interested in the title match, and they still have 7 weeks to drag this out. At least I have HBK-Flair, Edge-Taker, and (hopefully) Matt-MVP to look forward to.

Anyone else get the impression that JR might not have been too happy with the decision to run with the "Vince and JBL brutalize Hornswoggle" angle last night? It just struck me that usually, he's programmed to yell "Someone stop this!" "Someone get out here and stop this!", at least during most beatdown angles. It just seemed his silence before they went to commercial, and then Lawler basically having to take it to the next segment seemed to indicate that Ross might have thought it went a bit too far (and too long, for my taste).

Just wondering if anyone else got the same impression.
