Yeah, the show wasn't very watchable. Outside of the six man match, the highlight of the show for me was the replay of Victoria/Kelly where Kelly hit probably the cleanest huracurana since Rey Misterio first showed up.

Any of you guys ever watch like America's Next Top Model or Runnway or any of that stuff because you hope that if you sit on the couch long enough with feigned interest your significant other will give you some sweet sweet reward for hanging out with her? That went through my mind while talking to my girlfriend on the phone and I happened to look up and see Vince getting his ass buffed.

Now I'm as hard on reality television as anyone, but I dare you to find something you'd be more embarrassed to be caught watching with you girl than a sixty year old man having his ass buffed with the intention of having his illegitamte leprecaun son put his lips on it. I fuckin' dare you.

As a Candice supporter (I thought she was getting better anyway and until Vince finds someone shinier, we're stuck with her) I had a smile on my face for 2 seconds, then of course I remembered how much I despise her entrance music. It was bad enough that love songs don't make sense in wrestling, but it grew on me. Then they fucked it up with that techno remix thing.

Oh and for anyone that said "wait and see, don't judge Cena yet" I present exhibit A, he beat Mark Henry in an arm wrestling contest 3 months removed from tearing a pectoral muscle. Let's look at that again. Cena, 3 months removed from tearing a muscle clean from the bone, beat Mark Henry, a guy that pushed a hummer up an incline and is thus far the only person on record to clean and jerk close to two hundred pounds over his head with one hand, in a contest predicated on pure strength. Wrestling match, I can accept. Hell, a shoot fight, I can accept. But tell me how Cena beats the World's Strongest man in arm wrestling?

Cena can't be beat because he's some unholy genetic recombinate of superstars past. I mean, you might as well call him John "Realest of the Real, Sargent Rock - Cold - A - Mania" Cena.

"You think you had me beat, John Cena? You think you could beat The World's Strongest Man in arm-wrestling? You fool! I barely broke a sweat. Arm-wrestling contests are over in seconds, but I kept you occupied for over a minute. We just had to get you distracted, get you completely focused on things so you wouldn't notice Orton sneaking up on you from behind. Yeah, you caught him ... but no way did you have me beat."

If only.

Yes, he said that he had won and been in more ECs than anybody. I think he realized midway through the sentance that he'd never won any of them, which is why he doubled back and added the "been in" (which was also not true, but is certainly *more* true than the other way.

Jericho's entire speech was a reminder of how many big matches he has lost. In fact, I can only think of one night of true glory for him, when he unified the titles, before totally being neutered by Steph and HHH in that feud. Now he is back, and it's the same thing. It makes me kind of sad, actually. To compare, HBK has lost TONS of big matches, but at least he does have tons of moments of glory too.

This weeks show makes me wish Helmsley gets more family emergencies because Snitsky's mic work has gotten better and it can only help him get more TV time. He didn't seem out of place, that much, at next to Shawn Michaels and Jericho, JBL and the bunch of them.

Overall, it was a rather boring show though, I found myself switching over to the Bobby Knight news a few times.

Forget it Josh... it's Cerebustown.

My favorite exchange of the evening:

LAWLER: "You know, it's funny, J.R., people always complain that they hate rich people but they're the first in line to buy lottery tickets."

J.R.: "..yeah, that's funny."

I don't know about all that. I don't think you have to win the World Title to necessarily have glory or have a big match. Chris Jericho has had plenty of big matches with Chris Benoit, John Cena, The Rock, Kurt Angle and tag matches with Christian and let's not forget Jericho/Benoit vs. Stone Cold/Triple H. Who has had more glory and big matches? Triple H? HBK? Undertaker? Flair? Cena? I'd say sixth after those guys is doing pretty good and most of those guys he shouldn't be ahead of. And as far as smaller guys that the internet loves he did a lot better than Benoit, Eddie or Rey.

I wouldn't say much better than Benoit and Eddie. All three are fairly accomplished and minus Jericho's Undisputed Title Reign, all guys are former World, US, IC, Euro, and Tag Champs. Both Benoit and Jericho were Television Champs and Jericho and Eddie multi-time Cruiser. All have been in title matches at Wrestlemania (with Benoit and Eddie actually winning theirs)All have victories over top stars. Now that I think about it, there's really not much that the three of them, except that with Eddie they actually wanted him to carry the SmackDown brand on his back which is why he dropped the belt to JBL because he wasn't ready to be THE man. Other than that, I agree that Jericho has had many great matches and even a victory here and there.

Rey's another story...

I haven't been able to get into this season, but hey, there is an hour of Heidi Klum for ya...

Off-Topic: For the love of sweet Jesus, paragraphs and spell checking are your friends. Firstly, what's the point of this post? I mean...Bret Hart was a tremendous wrestler, but Vince got rid of him because he was a cheap businessman.
