I don't about you guys, but I'm really looking forward to the eventual John Cena/Ken Kennedy feud. Kennedy worked that crowd to perfection.

They rarely know what has happened on their OWN show.

Kennedy's promo was awesome. So much for a face turn, but that is fine by me.

After watching wrestling for 20 years, I have rarely been so annoyed that I just have to turn the channel. Sometimes it would be a boring match or promo, but rarely was it because I just thought what they were doing was wrong. Last night I felt that way, and just can't get over the memories of Owen, Eddie, and even Sherri while watching these guys use their somber voices, and Steph "crying" over her lost father.

Had they gone the route of just an attempt on Vince's life, but he was ok, it might be a compelling mystery. But this is just wrong, and I have sat through a lot of crap in my 20 years. So I guess there is always something else to watch during those segments, and I can always tune back in to see Kennedy or Booker promos, or a great 3 and a half minute match like we saw between Londrick and TWGTT.

Am I wrong, or did Stephanie refer to Vince in the present tense during her show-closing diatribe, and then quickly corrected herself?

Either she genuinely flubbed the line, or she "knows" that daddy ain't really dead ...

You're close. Jillian Hall was brought in as MNM's consultant, but shortly after the girl who played JBL's image consultant quit the company (I believe she's the one that quit because Randy Orton did something to her). So they moved Jillian from MNM to JBL's cabinet to replace her.

I taped RAW and just got finished watching it.From the best McMahon promo ever last week to the worse McMahon promo this week. Steph's voice has gotten worse. I still say Steph is behind this all along, just in time for a HHH/HBK DX return.

Well, close. He called it "Sliced Bread 2", and seemed pretty unsure how exactly to pronounce it.

Also, that Kennedy promo was pretty boring. He literally said nothing for a good 5 minutes (or however long it was). What was so great about that promo? Sure, he got the crowd to boo him, but all he did was literally say "I hate all of you" to the crowd. Wow, he really zinged them on that one.

Melina probably didn't recognize her without the face tumor.

I was totally ready for them to show Stephanie getting back in her limo and it exploding. "By god King, we're dealing with a serial killer!"

She looked good, though, in the way that a recently formerly pregnant woman only can.

edit: Oh, and Mr. Kennedy has learned one of the golden rules of wrestling interviews, it doesn't matter what you say so much as how cool you sound saying it.

Another facet of this rule is that if you are talking to someone you are in a match against at a PPV, you are only allowed to speak in soundbites for the video package.

Me too. Hunter's project trumps Vince's.

When is the big comeback for Helmsley going to be anyways? The show is really going to bog down with his triumphent return. You figure he's going to get 10 minutes of backstage and promo time, 5 minutes of entrance music time for various appeances, and 8-12 minutes of ring time. Granted there will be a few other guys mixed in with that, but there are going to be a ton of guys with nothing to do when he returns and I would guess the average match time will drop across the board.

My parents have been dead for years and I still catch myself referring to them in the present tense.

Along the lines of what Alex said, it's not always what you say, but how you say it. That is why any Flair or Rock promo was at least watchable, because of their charisma in the delivery. Not to put KK in that category just yet, but he does have the "it" factor that few others on the roster have.

I always thought that Carlito as a heel had that "it" factor as well. It seemed to go away once he became a face, but it may return if his promo on Monday was any indication.

Carlito did have it as a heel, which was even more impressive due to the fact that he was just an average worker in those days. His ring work improved during his face run, but it was handled so poorly, it didn't really matter. The heel turn has been bumpy so far, not helped at all by shipping all the other participants in his feud to SD.

But his promo was solid Monday night. Let's hope now that it can all comes together for him.

I remember a few months ago, on this very board... people were complaining about the live crowds shitting all over John Cena and it destroying their enjoyment of the show.

The way the crowd last night was shitting all over the death of Vince McMahon angle was fucking annoying.

I guess I know how you feel now.

I'd love some examples because I've never seen anyone say this. The split reactions that Cena can inspire are great fun and they add greatly to my enjoyment of his matches, and I've read lots of other people saying the same thing.

Here's the thing. I LOVED it when they blew Vince up. Loved it. They blew him up. Dead. In a limo. BLEW HIM UP. It was great fun. It was also one of the stupidest things I've ever seen. Did that make it any less awesome? No. Did the awesomeness make it any less stupid? No. Is everyone going to think this angle is awesome? No. And the more serious WWE tries to play it, the hokier and stupider it looks. I think this whole thing is so stupid that it is awesome. But most people just seem to think it's really really stupid - which it certainly is - and they react accordingly.

I was hoping for Stephanie's limo to blow up too. I figure if they're going to do this angle they might as well go all out and start having people drop like flies like Ten Little Indians.

London/Kendrick vs. WGTT was soon and short but it was pretty sweet match. Hopefully this will continue although I wouldn't be surprised if they just gave London/Kendrick a win as the two team and then they fade away.

I like that Kennedy isn't turning face yet. Once they have that big face run it's hard to go back to a heel. There's no need for Kennedy to do that so early in his career.

Maybe Kennedy isn't that pissed at Edge because he realizes it was a smart move, and would have done the same thing himself? They are both heels, after all. I would have maybe bought that, it would be better than no explanation at all. Or maybe he is just glad to be off of the B show?

The Vince angle is almost, ALMOST, so bad that it has gone past bad and back to good again. Almost.

I was going to balk at that explanation but then I remember accepting it when Ken apologized to Finlay for assassinating Horn Swaggle. Now, he didn't bother to give that or any explanation, but if he did, I would accept it.

I'm all for more people blowing up too, especially Steph, 'cause everything has been way downhill since the initial glorious explosion. (SOPRANOS SYNDROME YA GOTTA HAVE MORE PEOPLE WHACKED RIGHT? DON'T STOP

Well, JR says in Beyond the Mat that if Jake could "control the demons" he'd be one of the most influential creative forces in the industry... That was pretty high praise, even coming from a bullshit artist.
