If you remember, it was Austin reffing the craptacular Goldberg/Lesnar debacle at WM 20. Methinks there is going to be some deja vu at WM 23 for the Rattlesnake.
I agree with the Deputy Marshall about Kenny's tights last night being better than the previous colors. And that makes another decent, long-ish match for Dykstra (Lashley a month ago that was surprisingly good). I really do want Kenny to figure into the Carlito/Flair/Torrie angle.
As almost everyone else said, this was another great Raw. It's a good time to be a wrestling fan.

I was thinking the same thing. Austin reffing that match comes as an insurance policy, I feel. If the crowd turns on the match, Austin stuns them both after the match and the crowd goes ballistic. If the crowd stays into the match, he's just an added attraction.

People crapped all over the Lesnar/Goldberg match because they knew that BOTH were leaving the company (hence the "You Sold Out" chants) and because instead of putting out power moves or plunder, they proceeded to stall and hold each other for 10 minutes. The match will be fine as long as they keep in high energy and don't give a reason for the crowd to crap on it (or Lashley doesn't announce he's trying out for the Broncos or something). Lashley may be bland, but he's a decent enough hand and I think he and Umaga can keep it interesting. The brawl on RAW proved the crowd CAN get into these guys.
Kevin Kelly: "Mr. Austin, would you like to comment on Wade Keller's Take that endorsing the XFL hurts your anti-authority character?"
Steve Austin: "Oh shit, he actually said that? I thought the boys in the back were ribbing me!"
Kelly: "No, he really said that. Did they tell you the part about you sitting in the stands, looking all skeptical?"
Austin: "AHAHAHAHAHAHA. Yeah... oh man that was too much." | Reverend J Shaft

What a great idea - have the IC champ face the ECW champ in a match for neither title but for the hair of two billionaires. You know what this match needs? More gimmicks. How bout Stone Cold as a special referee? Maybe even Judy Bagwell on a pole.
The best part of this is there is actually some mystery as to who will win the match. I may actually get to see the Donald bald! /sarcasm
I'm very interested to see how long Cena and Michaels hold on to the tag titles. I thought for sure they would lose them last night. We couldn't possibly see them enter WM as champs (thus depriving us of yet ANOTHER title match), could we? | Wpob

I hope that HBK/Cena drop the titles next week and we can get a tag team turmoil match at mania. That is always a nice palate cleanser and can be entertaining at times.
Lashley should cause umaga to lose the IC title next week. Conversely, Umaga should cause Lashley to lose the ECW title the following day.
The IC title can be defending in a fatal fourway with Kenny Dykstra, Carlito, Flair and Shelton.
The ECW title can be defending under hardcore rules in a battle royal or something.
Do you think God knew what He was doing when He created woman? Huh? No shit. I really wanna know. Or do you think it was another one of His minor mistakes like tidal waves, earthquakes, FLOODS? You think women are like that? S'matter? You don't think God makes mistakes? Of course He does. We ALL make mistakes. Of course, when WE make mistakes they call it evil. When GOD makes mistakes, they call it... nature. So whaddya think? Women... a mistake... or DID HE DO IT TO US ON PURPOSE?

Sounds like a plan, although the tag team turmoil bit might be a bit too soon, considering the cruiserweight roundup at No Way Out. Still not a bad idea for a multi-team match, if only to have the belts defended and get the boys a payday.
Is it safe to say that, if none of those titles get defended at WrestleMania, something is very wrong at Titan Towers?

I would expect to see Benoit defend the U.S. title against someone (MVP?), thus having one of the secondary singles titles on the show.
I'd really like to see London & Kendrick on the show. They've held those titles for something like 10 months now & deserve a nice payday ... | JustinShapiro

I would say no. Well, they'd be very wrong about how they don't protect their belts, but very right in making Wrestlemania a good card.
Every ECW title match has been bad since RVD lost the title and Lashley in the BILLIONHAIR match means a lot more than defending his crappy belt against Marquis von Cor.
I don't know why they put the IC title on Umaga and not Jeff, but he wouldn't have defended it anyway. There was no Intercontinental Title match at Wrestlemania 20, 21, and 22 and those shows were all awesome.
The tag belts mean the most on Rated RKO and they wouldn't defend them. Cryme Tyme, Highlanders, and Cadeoch will make the show worse, not better. Too bad about Shelton, however, and it really will be a shame if London and Kendrick are left off.
No cruiserweight title match for the third year in a row would be unfortunate, but if the champion is Chavo Guerrero, unless he's defending against the exciting new Mistico, I won't miss him.
Titles, who needs them, not me y'all.
If they book Benoit/Finlay in a U.S. title match, I take back everything.

Didn't they say there would be 2 guys from each brand? so how does Orton get in? and if he doesn't, what else does he have to do at WM? It would serve him right to be left off of the card, after the shit he pulled last year.
