I watched about half of this and then had the other half on while I pretended to pay attention but really was working on something on the laptop. Lots of rehashing, lots of Cyber Sunday voting manipulation, lots of running things that normally work into the ground. I think K-Fed works better without a script, but I can think that because I'm not paid to write - obviously, other folks have to justify their existence. Good thing they didn't make a big deal out of it being the 700th episode, 'cause there wasn't much to fashion INTO a big deal. But that's just me talking. How about you?
The opening segment was fine, and K-Fed was good in his role again. Nice cameo by Ron Simmons too....The women's match was okay, but I didn't think it flowed very well....The tag match was okay, but I would've liked to have seen it get a little more time. And how over-done is the "heel holds on to ropes/tights" finish?....
Cena/Nitro was your standard Cena RAW match, and I thought it was interesting K-Fed didn't get his comeuppance again....Cryme Tyme vs. Spirit Squad was okay again, and Kenny is clearly the breakout star of SS....Wow, I'd never heard them trash a match like that on "This date in history" before....Haven't they done the t-shirt-in-the-groin bit before?....
I really hope the Flair/legends vs. S.S. becomes a Cyber Sunday match....Hey, I guess it did....I'm wondering where this Vince/Eric thing is going....The DX interview was more useless than usual....It's nice to see Orton go over after getting trounced last week, but did they have to have EVERYONE interfere on his behalf?

Anyhoo, decent RAW. Cyber Sunday's building into a pretty decent card.
I'm going with Sandman, for the sheer car crash potential. Sorry.
I'm voting for Sandman, since I'd rather not see Benoit job to the homeless man's Samoa Joe.
Kind of a blah Raw, with the only highlight being the genuinely funny Cena promo to start the show. Simmons' cameo appearance was hilariously random, and it was the rare WWE appearance that was actually subtle.
Eugene may finally be on the way to a heel turn, about two years after anyone cared.
Mickie/Melina may have been the stiffest match of the night. Didn't these two have some backstage heat with each other dating back to OVW? Something about Melina claiming Mickie stole her look, or vice versa?
Scene: Mark DeRosa's brain. The year is 2005. Part of Mark DeRosa's brain: Come on, another position change? One day it's second base, the next day right field, now it's third? Why, I oughta go into Buck's office and throw his talking fish on the floor! Other part of Mark DeRosa's brain: Hold on, other part of the brain. We're making $500,000 this year. Last year we made $725,000. All for playing a damn kids' game. This is, as they say in Brainland, a no-"us"-er. We're not going to complain. Part of Mark DeRosa's brain: You're right, dude. Let's go back to looking at this crazy porn Teixeira gave us!
Probably the best use of Ron Simmons in 10 years. As bad as the Chambers of Horrors match was, everyone except for El Gigante became stars. Sadly, that is probably the only time we'll ever see Abdullah the Butcher on Vince's TV. Can't wait for them to do the 'This Week in Wrestling History' of Kennel in a Cell. Due to the DVD, it will probably be manipulated for Flair/Piper to team, but Flair/Dusty would be the most historically significant tag team. And, but rule, Flair would have to turn on Dusty, probably even before the match began. I guess Arn and DiBiase can't get in the ring, as they would make more sense than Slaughter.

It's probably wrong of me, but as soon as Dusty came out, I started waiting for the beatdown. How can Flair and Dusty team and Flair NOT do it?
I actually thought the women's match was pretty good. As Big Bad said, it seemed to be pretty stiff, and both women were definitely pumped to go.
I'd LOVE to see Benoit vs Umaga. I really hope we don't see Kane vs Umaga again, and I don't wanna see him fight Sandman either. On the other hand, I think a Benoit/Umaga match could be very good. I enjoy watching Umaga in the ring, and I'd like to see how he'd work with Benoit.

Sadly? Isn't he like 70?
Sadly in that the only footage they'll ever show of him is sitting in the electric chair. Since they didn't release any Abdullah vs. Dusty bloodbath on the Dusty DVD and I'm not holding my breath for Vince to release the 'Best of Bruiser Brody' DVD, this will probably be the only time Abdullah is seen, unless another Foley DVD comes out and they go into that portion of Foley's WCW career. As for being 70: Vince and Dusty aren't far behind that number, and yet Vince pushed himself to the moon and Dusty might be competing this coming month. I'd rather see Abdullah the Butcher vs. Umaga than Sandman vs. Umaga.
If Umaga fights Benoit, we know it's gonna end with Umaga pinning him after Estrada's interference. Benoit puts people over.
I never thought I'd hear anything at ringside as annoying as Alphonso's whistle, but Melina's random screams take the cake. It's enough to make me turn the channel. We got a RAW house show coming up in December, and I hope we're sitting far enough away to dilute that banshee screech of hers.

I really only caught the main event and the Cena match. Normally, I hate when they mismanage time and the main event only gets 5 minutes, a la Nitro. But if it means HHH has to job in five minutes, it's actually pretty cool. That being said, what has Orton done in recent memory to deserve that kind of rub? Other than getting suspended twice? Why isn't Edge going over HHH instead?
Dean! Have you been shooting dope into your scrotum? You can tell me! I'm hip!
Ok show. Not to much stood out for me either. The K-Fed opening segment was good. Gotta agree with CRZ (cheap pop) though. K-Fed does much better without a script. At this point I need to be over K-Fed. I do not want to see him join the ranks of Pete Rose in the WWE Hall of Fame in a few Manias from now.
Carlito heel turn coming? Or will it be a face vs. face scenario when it happens? I just wish WWE could think of a better way to start new angles between Superstars. I tire of the old lets team up, bump into each other and get mad at the other routine. I don't have any suggestions on a better approach but then again, that's not my job. I'm here to complain like the rest of us.
Im liking the continued Nitro push. I hope the Cena defeat doesn't start the process of extinguishing it.
Umaga/Eugene - couldn't they have just shown a recap of this year's Diva Search or something?

It didn't seem to me like they were necessarily trying to do that with that match. Seemed more like "Even though these guys are teammates at the moment, they are all still gunning for the same belt."

My only question is, why are they pursuing this angle with Nitro when Nitro is (according to the Cyber Sunday options) still in the IC title picture? Shouldn't they be having Cena feud with someone who would be next in line to challenge him for the Heavyweight belt? Along those same lines, who IS next in line to face Cena? Edge and Orton are facing off with DX, so they're out of the title hunt for the time being. Ditto with HHH and Michaels. Who does that leave on the RAW uppercard, in terms of heels, who could be presented as a threat to Cena's title?
To those who say people wouldn't look; they wouldn't be interested; they're too complacent, indifferent and insulated, I can only reply: There is, in one reporter's opinion, considerable evidence against that contention. But even if they are right, what have they got to lose? Because if they are right, and this instrument is good for nothing but to entertain, amuse and insulate, then the tube is flickering now and we will soon see that the whole struggle is lost. This instrument can teach, it can illuminate; yes, and it can even inspire. But it can do so only to the extent that humans are determined to use it to those ends. Otherwise it is merely wires, and lights, in a box.-Edward R. Murrow

Cena's also feuding with Booker and Show - that's the next PPV, and they're not going to bother to set up the next one till this one's over (or at least closer that way.)
Dare you forget about the 4 Dusty Soundbites that you can listen to by hittin the button on the front of the cover?? So many matches, so many promos, including NWA promos with Tony Schiavone and his porno mustache.
