FOOTAGE! of Linda/Austin/Bisch segues to Kane in Chainz and the Linda tombstoning (replete with gothic choir music).

Why won't you wake up? 'Cuz it's Raw, from Colorado Springs...and a Fashion Report, too.

Vince, in pink shirt (untucked with the top two buttons undone) and khakis. I don't think he's even wearing socks. He's pulling double-duty this week. Someone must've said "Needs more Vince."

BookerT, in black hot-crotch, flamin' "BookerT" undies, wearing the IC Title, and SPP, in black "Freakzilla" trunks and shades, with Stacie, in REALLY short blue parted skirt and black one-shoulder-strap top, vs. Christian!, in red-orange tights with black thigh "C"s on white, and Test, in black undies with red hip-critters. Coach, in black "WW" monogramed shirt, and King, in black/white vertical stripes with gold scrollwork, commentate. Sign "Stacie has Legs" - well, duh! Test, again, plays scared-of-Steiner. Steiner gets beeped and Adbreak does a run-in. Black thong for Stacie. Steiner sells well this week. A solidly nice match.

SummerSlam press conference FOOTAGE! Raw's Main Event: HHH vs. Goldberg (like you didn't already know).

Goldberg (out of his door), in black fullctus with white trim and butt barbedwire, vs. Stevie, already in the ring, in pink "Stevie Night Heat" fullcuts. Another jobber SQUASHed by Goldberg (wait - didn't he already do Stevie?).

Post-match, HHH, in white shirt (top three undone), black slacks, and shades, with belt slung-over shoulder, Flair, in black suit and light lbue shirt, with Randy, in black silk shirt, black slacks, and shades, are on the stage to talk. Save us - Goldberg talks back. Bisch, in black leather jacket, and blue jeans, hurries out to make sure a wrestling match doesn't happen on his show. Book a match, for NEXT week.

Val, in white towell and black undies with sparkly purple "V"s thereunder, Lillian's in a red dress with thin gold chain belt, vs. Rico, in neon green suit and red/gold tights with red/purple eyeshadow, and Jackie, in red outfit (deep chest slash and high slashes on th elegs). Oh, c'mon, Val HAD to have starred in some hot male/male movies back in the days. Hey - they're both from Vegas - think they hang-out? No, King, Rico is by NO means, a "shemale". Boring match - my icecream was more excititng (buttered pecan).

Hilight Reel: Jericho, in black reel tshirt, pruple "Jericho" tights, and glasses, being all heelish, with FOOTAGE! from last week's match, brign-out Randy, in same as before (graphics pimp the Evolution t-shirt). Thank goodness I don't have to stare at Randy's crotch this week. Randy gets a nice opportunity to put himself over. Then Jericho intro's Shawn, in black tshirt with white radiant cross and blue jeans with HUGE belt buckle. Yes, it's 9:00 - they can now say "bitch" without getting beeped. Beatdown, but Nast (apparently very slowly, off camera), in black tank top with silver "Nash" nameplate and black leather pants, is out. Book a match?

Yes, a match, Jericho vs. Nash. Hey - I just noticed - Jericho's clean-shaven this week. Nash is great...laying on the mat. DQ finish to a poor match. Idunno about Nash, but if I got smacked in the nads, I wouldn't be so active so soon thereafter. Post-match...um...stuff...happens. Does this have a point? Well, at least Jerich (gratuitously) bleeds well. But, again, what's the f'n point? Please, don't do a Nash/Jericho feud.

Rosie, in "Big Daddy" jersey, and Hurricane, in black poncho cape, madk, and black/green suit, talk in the back. Hurricane can fly, but Rosie can't.

Bisch chews-out the cops. Damn underlings - if only they'd follow the plan.

Coach and King talk, and they promise Austin WILL show up.

Dudleys, Bubba in "Dudleyville 3D" jersey and black warmups, and DVon, in sleeveless black "Dudley Boyz 3D" tshirt and blakc/white camo pants, join commentary. La Resistance, in blue sparlky coats, lback berets with yellow trim, and black "La Resistance" tights with French flag, wearing the Tag Titles, vs. Mark Jindrak, in red "Jindrak" undies, and Garrison Cade, in plain red undies. Stupid crowd - the Dudleys aren't even IN this match. Well, since everyone's just standing around gabbing gums, let's just take an Adbreak. A nice match with all those young guys showing their stuff. But they needed an adbreak in that match? Post-match Dudleys get smacked around.

Now, tazers set to "really-fuck-'em-up", they bring-out Kane, in red straps 'n black spandex, in chains, under the black towell.

Gail Kim, in red slitted trenchcoat, red skimpy side lace-up undies and bikini-top, vs. Molly, in black pants and black tanktop with cyan trim. Crap - Molly is really working it crisp and hard in this match. New champ! Yea, Molly! A nice match.

In the back, Vince is walking (chest all puffed-out).

We're back, and Vince, in same as before, is in the ring, demanding Kane shows up. And here he is, escorted by the cops. (I say that one of these days he's gonna get super-ticked and bust the chains in a fit of rage.) Vince, full of pride, hubris, and evil, has Kane unbound so they can both sneer at each other before Vince proposes some kind of...arrangement, but Austin, in black "F*CK FEAR/Drink Beer" tshirt, bluejeans, and kneebraces, shows up. Austin tries to pick a fight, but Kane won't give him the satisfaction. Then Shane McMahon, in steel-blue silk shirt (top two buttons undone), and faded blue jeans, comes out to violence Kane and his father. Well, SHane IS the "Giant Killer", but Kane merely laughs at Shane's feelbe attempts.

Overall: Too much Vince (actually, any of him on Raw is too much). The Jericho/Nash match harbinges horrible things. But, otherwise, a pretty decent show.

Good show overall.
Nice to see Molly Holly go over with an awesome looking finish.
Goldberg was good in his squash and Goldberg vs Flair should be a good bridge to SummerSlam.
The KANE saga continues as I guess they're gonna feed Shane to him. He is a monster but what is Vince going to have to do with this?????? My hope is that Shane, Steph & Linda unite to rid WWE TV of him. Maybe there is a hope of getting rid of him. Or will we have to wait for Mr. America to do that??
And what is Austin gonna do??
A lot of unanswered questions still? I guess thats the sign of a good storyline.

and thats all i have to say about that!

Funny you bombed the last show and I praised it, you give this show credit and I'm going to bomb it and I usually like some of what's on Raw. This one stunk from start to finish and now McMahonomania is running wild on Raw. That was my worst fear going in.

-Not one quality match.
-HBK no sold Y2J's ability
-Triple H still can't cut a promo and he and Goldberg almost destroyed that feud.
-La Resitance vs Jindrak and a jobber is your last match of the night?
-Except for the woman's match ... see you in OVW Kim.
-McMahons --FUCK

I didn't feel like I witnessed anything big this week. It felt like a LONG version of Heat

Whoo! After that hideously blown spot last week, I knew Gail Kim was gonna have to job the title. And I was right. Congrats, Molly!

Also, I was expecting Austin vs. Kane at Summerslam, but I'll settle for Shane vs. Kane (hey, that rhymed!). I especially liked how Kane went off the stage and through a table, and then did the ZOMBIE SIT-UP and then just laughed it off. Totally awesome.

And in other news today, Goldberg squashed someone. OMG!

I don't know...tonight's show started with a BANG! Complete with an Old-School Goldberg squash. I was expecting to see Glacier in the ring and not Mr. Richards to make it complete. But then the show slowed down into boring-land. I didn't see the point of Nash/Y2J. I thought they were going to have Nash run off the heels, setting up a tag match for next week. But I guess tonight they were light on any real plans so why not throw in a match?

I am sorry, but Rico needs to be on permanent Heat duty. It just isn't working. I actually liked Val alot more as Bischoff's lackey. Now he is just plan boring. Skipping to the end, the final segment was golden. Kane laughing at the end was a nice touch. I was worried for a bit when Shane was kicking Kane's ass that they have killed the monster image, but the laughter saved all that. Has Shane been working out? He looks like he has.

An OK show that dragged bigtime in the middle. The crowd was just waiting to be entertained and largely I will say that they weren't, I hope the dark matches and Heat were entertaining. Am I the only one that didn't like them talking about Vengence so much? I mean, that is a Smackdown PPV, not Raw show. I was hoping Eric B. would walk out and tell them to stop giving Smackdown all the free publicity.

At the end of the show, I found myself asking; "So fucking what?". Sorry. I've really been sleepwalking through WWE programming the past couple of months.

Nice to see their building Triple H/Goldberg up as something big. And they're doing it the RIGHT way, and not with comedy segments involving wigs and concerts.

The whole Hurricane/Rosey/S.H.I.T. thing is fucking stupid, and I'm sure it'll be totally forgotten about by October, or sooner.

Wow, they sure gave up on Gail Kim quickly, didn't they? Oh well. Molly with the title makes me happy.

Dudleyz v. La Resistance? That sure does seem like it'll suck!

I hate Coach as much as the next guy, but I found myself busting out laughing when he made mention to the fact that other than women's make-up there's clown make-up. I don't know why, but that line made my night!

Of all the people to stick in a feud with Jericho, WHY KEVIN NASH?!?!? This company really can't tell the difference between good decisions and bad decisions anymore, can they?

ENOUGH WITH THE BOOKER/CHRISTIAN/STEINER/TEST FEUD ALREADY!!!! God, I'm getting so sick of all four of these men. Don't get me wrong, I love Booker T and I love Christian. But they have absolutley NO chemistry together. And Steiner/Test has always sucked. The feuds have been dragging on for way too long, and I'm fucking sick of it. Let someone else go after the IC Title. You got your Jerichos and your Van Dams as well as hundreds of others. SO FUCKING USE THEM!

So, we build up Van Dam v. Kane for months, and blow that off in a squash match on Raw because Vince refuses to believe that RVD is main-event material. Then we build toward Austin v. Kane, but that can't happen because of Austin's neck. What the hell, let's throw Shane McMahon in there. Because god knows the one thing WWE needs right now is MORE FUCKING McMAHONS!!!

And for anyone who dare says I'm too negative, let me say one thing; VENGEANCE FUCKING RULED!

They blew it, they fucking blew it.

The streak ends at 1!

The Kane angle is now a joke, sorry to say, but it is. Kane was made out to be Shane bitch? I won't even mention the bits with Austina and Vince. I don't care if he did get back up and smile for the camera. Shane of all people, should not be dominating a monster heel like that.

The lack of McMahons was one of the reasons I favored Raw over Smackdown as of late, now that is gone.

Take that angle away and it was still a subpar show. Nash/Jericho was bad, and the beatdown ran waaaaay too long. La Resistance VS. Cade/Jindrek was boring as well. The stuff with Jamal and Hurricane while kinda of cute, didn't do a whole lot for me. Then again, Hurricane's voice is tolerable for about 5 seconds, then I conveniently go digging for wax.

On the bright side, the highlight reel was one of the better ones lately. HBK seemed to forget the monotone..and...broken...up...speech, and brought a little of his old showstoppa delivery. Is he falling back into his sinful ways, inquiring minds want to know? HHH/Goldberg storyline is coming about...all right. And of course there was Molly.

Again, there were aspects which saved it from being horrible, but they dropped the ball on the Kane storyline. At least how I envisioned it working, working right.

I had a bad feeling that Vince would leech heat off the Kane storyline. I hate being right. I like the way they're going with Kane and everything, but so far his two biggest opposition is coming from Steve Austin and Shane McMahon. Can we get him some actual full-time WRESTLERS to plow through?

Which reminds me, where WAS Van Dam tonight? Did he pull Heat duty? If so, that makes me wonder if they're really trying to spice up the quality of the show (with Triple H headlining a few weeks ago).

So much for Gail Kim. Her push lasted about as long as Ultimo Dragon's. You know, I hope somebody back there realizes that giving her the title on the first night was NOT a good idea.

The whole xenophobic French Freedom gimmick has run its course. Let's hope this feud with the Dudleyz spells the end. And is the Raw roster so short on tag teams that we had to team Garrison Cade and Mark Jindrak?

I guess WWE has found something for Big Kev to do and there are certainly worse ideas than pitting him against Chris Jericho. Jericho should seriously be a front-runner for Wrestler of the Year, as he's already carried talentless lunks like Steiner, Goldberg, and now Nash to good matches. He's SUPERMAN!

I forget, did Goldberg and Flair ever go one-on-one in WCW?

Haven't heard HBK that fired up in a while. Good promo from him during the Highlight Reel. His match with Orton is another reason to look forward to Summerslam.

The Kane stuff was awesome again, and Shane's return was icing on the cake.

A few minutes at the end does not make a show, but I still found it to be a decent effort. HHH/Goldberg feels like a big deal, as it should. Dudley's are starting their build to feud with La Resistance. Molly got the Women's title. The Highlight Reel was excellent with the unintended humor moment of the night. How bad is it when, even when the camera isn't on him, you can tell just how long it's taking Nash to do his "walk-in". Coach..."Wait a second King...(long pause)..."Wait a second King..."

Wow. Could Val have gotten a lesser response if the arena was empty?

If JR's staying off TV for now, could they come up with some excuse to put Vince in the play-by-play position? Maybe he loses a bet with Eric and has to do his bidding or something, and Eric names him interim play-by-play guy.

There was some crap on tonight, sure. But I found it enjoyable overall.

Molly Go Round *and* "Here Comes the Monneeeehhhh!" Best Raw in ages right there.

The match advertised for next week is Flair/Goldberg. Why don't I care? Why do I expect to watch Flair arch his back and cry "ah God" eighty-seven times?

Rico is deadweight out there. The gimmick is destroying him by the day, and it's a shame that he can't just go out there and wrestle recreating Johnny B. Badd. I imagine he and Val could have quite the nice midcard feud over Ms. Gayda.

I did NOT enjoy seeing Jericho get beat up by Father Time. Nash moves like a mountain. I haven't seen that much lumbering since I went to Lowe's.

With all the talk about commentators this week, why not give the color-man role to Bubba Ray? He's solid on the mic.

Molly wins, and I'm happy. Too bad Gail never looked better in that red leather outfit. See ya when you improve, Gail. Say hi to Daffney next week in Ohio. Give her my number.

How many times have we seen Kane shrug off chair shots? And who was the one blasting him into little Kane crutons? Shane O'Mac. So what was the point of Austin showing up? I dunno.

Was it a bad Raw? Nah, it was a build-up to the summer PPV. It did its job, albeit at a slow pace.

What did u want?
KANE no sold Shane's attack! He still comes off as a monster.
Did you want KANE to squash Shane on their first face off. That would be a great build up to a match huh???
Instead KANE comes across as a monster and Shane as someone who can hold his own.
Hopefully Vince stays on Smackdown.
The good thing is Shane can pull off a pretty good match when needed.

No, he's not on HEAT. He was selling the bump from last week. Coach announced he suffered a "concussion" and was recouperating (sp?) at home.

He'll probably return in a few weeks. Just in time for him NOT to have a match at SummerSlam. YAY!

Congrats to Molly. Now there's a woman who can truly wrestle and I actually enjoyed the match with Kim, due to her ability to carry. I don't usually put over women's wrestling but Molly is a hell of a talented worker. And Gail, get some training and come back better, I know you have at least potential to be a decent wrestler.

I think Nash sold Jericho's offense pretty well. Although it could be my bias.

My mom was really, really into the end of the show, quoting "oh its over, it was getting good man!". So that's gotta say something. Maybe.

They actually wrestled once on the main event of a Nitro, but it of course ended without a real winner. I don't recall the actual decision but I would say it was either a no contest or Goldberg by DQ.
Back to the topic, dear God Molly is hot. I was very pleased to see her take the strap as Gail really wasn't doing it for anyone.

There's a difference between attacking when not expected and dominating. Kane is psychotic but not stupid. He wants to pick and choose his spots. How cool would it have been to build up Summerslam by having Kane murder Shane McMahon? Not very.

Given that last week Kane effortlessly slaughtered RVD, who is, y'know, an actual wrestler and stuff, as well as fending off a platoon of agents that included Arn Anderson and Fit Finlay, then hell yes I would have expected him to no-sell Shane's chair shots and have his guts for garters.

The problem with a Kane/Shane match is that, unless they book a total squash on a PPV -- which I'm not wild about either -- Shane is going to have to get in some offense on Kane. And I like Shane and all, but he is NOT a WRESTLER and Kane the crazy psycho monster who needs his own personal police department to keep him in line should not be selling for him.

Anyway. Jericho continues his trend of picking up Triple H's sloppy seconds by feuding with Nash. Why is it that WWE can realize Gail Kim isn't ready for prime time, but can't seem to come to the same realization about Nash?

I liked Booker/Steiner vs. Test/Christian, but I agree those feuds need to die now. Hey, maybe we can switch over to something new and kooky, like Booker/Test and Steiner/Christian!

Also on the positive side: I was afraid this was going to be an overly talky week when I realized how many interview segments there would be -- the Highlight Reel, Stone Cold's decision, the Vince/Kane confrontation, the Triple H/Goldberg facedown -- but I felt they did a good job keeping the jawing under control.

Oh well. Goldberg/Flair next week should be interesting, and I'm looking forward to Goldberg/Triple H and (presumably) Michaels/Orton at Summerslam.

Or how cool would it have been to, and just follow me here...not have Shane "Pussy" MacMahon involved at all? Here's a wacky ideal...how about we push actual full time wrestlers into the semi-main events rather than MacMahons?

Also, since when is Kane a Machavellian heel? He hasn't exactly been developing Dr. No level strategies here; just smashing and burning shit left and right.

That being said...blah for Raw. The only highlight for me is Molly winning after I used my psychic powers to predict that Gail Kim would be losing the title withing 2 weeks of last weeks Raw (my amazing psychic powers are powered by FUCKING OBVIOUS energy)

I'm sure the rationale for Nash vs. Jericho and Nash beating the shit out of Jericho and making him look like a bitch will be "but he's going to put Jericho OVER at Summerslam." Well, for Jericho to get more over by beating up Nash, the fans actually have to give a shit about Nash first, so really this is just busy work for Jericho.
