All much worse than the Diva search. I'll admit, for the sheer quantity of time it has, and is going to waste, the Diva search is tops. For for quality, it can't even touch these gems. The Diva search is just stupid. All these angles were not only baffling in their creation, but patently offensive to some degree.

Agreed. I was talking long term for sheer ugliness of an angle but short term, most of those take the cake. Might I add Bossman dragging around with Big Show's father casket behind his car as another horrible short term angle.

Benoit could carry him to a great match, but he can't wrestle well without someone really good to cover up his sad skills. Considering the talent on the roster, crowning someone who needs to be carried to a ***1/2 match the World Champ seems a little ludicrous, even for Vince. At least Lesnar could wrestle. That made him being shoved down our collective throat a little more palatable. Orton looks half-drunk in the ring.

Even if they probably aren't going to do it, the point is Ortons should not even be main-eventing a PPV at this point. I would have been happy to use a "broker" to get my Summerslam tickets, as I always like to wait for the card before I commit my hundred bucks to attending. I refuse to spend time and money however on even the slightest chance that I could see Orton win the title. I would rather watch Rosie O'Donnell's wedding night video than Orton win anything, or say anything, or do anything. Jesus, JBL/Taker is on the same card. Jericho looks like he's headed for Batista. Eddy/Angle should be good, but now Eddy's hurt and Kurt's been out of the ring since March. It looks like the only match that has a chance to be great is going to be a gamble. Maybe this will be a good show, but it certainly looks on paper to be garbage.

I sure hope things look up in the coming weeks.

Orton still looks lost in the ring. He can be carried, but when it's time for him to go on offense, he has all the presence of a newborn calf. And when he blanks, he hits those awful looking uppercuts, or a reverse chinlock. What I'm saying is that he's World Champ material and clearly has money written all over him.

Do they not teach guys how to punch in OVW?? Along with hot virgins, realistic strikes may be the world's most steadily shrinking commodity.

I won't lie, I actually fell asleep for about half of the Iron Man match. I had a long day at work, so that could be the reason, but man if that bout just didn't have a lot of juice to it. It didn't help that Orton winning the battle royal made it glaringly obvious that Benoit was going to win; the HHH/Rock and Angle/Brock iron man matches were exciting because the outcome was up in the air for both of them.

Get out of town. The whole Big Show/Big Bossman feud was hillarious. That segment was far more entertaining than the "This is your life" bullshit that everybody loved...

Here are my thoughts...

1) Diva Search Finalists - Who cares.

2) Battle Royal - Chuck, Rodney, welcome back to Raw. Also, note to Ric Flair, don't even attempt to do the Flair Flip anymore. Nice match...brings Orton to the next level, and, IMO, got the wheels going for an Edge heel turn, maybe.

3) Finalists/Kamala - We thought he was dead. I hope someone had the captions on for this segment. I would have loved how the typists have said for Kamala's lines. Just his noises and chest thumping cracked me up. Without him, I wouldn't have cared. I thought the next thing that would have happened was Bischoff to berate Kamala and put him in a match. Good thing it did not happen.

4) Demo Convention - This has turned into the "Welcome Back" show. Linda's back for her semi-annual appearance.

5) Finalists in bikinis - Who cares

6) Ironman Match - I'll say this in as few sentences as possible. It was nice to see a boxing type instruction of the rules by the referee before the match. "Here we go Steelers" chant, can't wait for football to start. When it was 3-1, my dad knew that it was eventually going to end up 3-3. Oh so many hard hits, mostly taken by Benoit...like the chest first to the turnbuckle at 50 MPH, the dive to the outside ending up crashing into the barrier, and the winner of this, the chairshot to the back and back of the head...OUCH!!!!! Eugene was hilarious, going after all of Evolution, and then making a detour and smacking Bischoff out of the apron. I expect Bischoff to be hot about that next week. It was an unbelievable match to both competitors, who have been banged up in the last couple of years and had surgical procedures done that could have ended careers many years ago. I have not given too many Kudos to HHH in the past, but I have to give it to him on this night.

Not much else, except I have watched a couple of TNA Impact episodes. It sure is a lot different of what we have seen in the WWE. It seems like the action is at a much faster pace. Like the graphic to see who is wrestling at the time. The time limit is nice, but I would be nice to see a "count-up" for the WWE matches. Only problem, I still can't stand Jeff Jarrett. He just annoys me.

I'll be back on Sunday, got a couple of nieces over on Friday and Saturday, so, the big screen will have Elmo, and those others, on. Later.

I know you guys are frustrated with Randy Orton getting the annointed push over the last year but ignoring that he's developed genuine star presence and tons of heel charisma just weakens the legitimate criticisms of him as a worker and kind of comes off as burying your heads in the sand. IMO. And I will bet real actual fake money that he and Benoit have an excellent match, so it's not like booking the match is dragging down the card quality.

HMD: "Jericho looks like he's headed for Batista."

Based on the battle royal I would hope he's headed for Edge. Batista has been involved with both of them since Vengeance, but I really hope they do a Jericho/Edge babyface match in Toronto with Christian as shit-disturber.

Matches: "Carmella's "We're getting paid for this, right?" routine makes me like her the most. To see all the other wannabes hopping and dancing around like complete idiots, then she just walks out, gives a half wave, not even bothering to dance or anything.. High marks for that."

Oh man, I agree wholeheartedly. I can't believe some people here are actually resenting her for not giving a supreme effort in the Kamala segment at the same time they're panning the segment itself. W-T-F? If anything, she's infinitely cooler than the rest of those dweebs for no-selling it. Is she disgracing the Diva Challenge or something by not getting into the retarded stuff they're doing? If so, then ... good? She was more over with the live crowd in Pittsburgh than the rest of them put together.

Shapiro: He's developed, no doubt. I loved his Backlash match with Foley and thought his selling was brilliant. He looked like he was going into shock at one point. And I think his promos have improved exponentially this past year. He's gotten a lot more comfortable, and that's half the battle (G.I Joooooeee!!)

And I'll spot you that Benoit will carry him to a decent match. But he's still too green in the ring. He can take a whuppin' just fine, but he's a virgin on prom night when it comes to taking control of things.

I can't believe that on a night where HHH lost 4 times, tapped to both the Sharpshooter AND the Crossface consecutively, and wound up getting knocked out by a retarded person people are still bitching about the guy! Jeez, what's the guy gotta do to get some props? He did the J.O.B., multiple times if you wanna be technical about it, and put on a hell of a match. Yeah, so Benoit didn't make the last pin cleanly. HHH started with the interference, Eugene just evened the score. It made HHH look like like a cowardly heel who can't get things done on his own, and still he gets no respect.

I may not be a HHH fan on most nights, but big kudos to the guy for doing the right thing (4 times, I should remind you, and #1-3 were all clean).
