I think they surprisingly compliment each other rather well. Gaspard had been all about the power-moves since he was Da Beast, but with Neighbourhoodie handling the other stuff and the two having a couple of combination moves that play off of the size difference, they make for a good tag-team. Maybe not the greatest team out there, but enough that I think they could hold their own in the division if WWE allows them.
Gaspard had a short feud with Punk that was really a setup for Kennedy to come back and have a short feud for Punk. In fact, I think the build-up with Gaspard against Punk lasted longer than the feud by about 5/1. Punk and Skyfire did win the belts off of Gaspard and Neigborhoodie, but then again that was mainly to get the belts on another heel team (Deuce and Domino) while setting up the feud between Skyfire and Punk so that Punk could drop the belt.
Booking it myself: As Smackdown goes further down in ratings and quality, Vince shows up. He acknowledges that the show is sucking, and blames Kurt Angle. In response Kurt chooses to go face, by re-embracing his American hero image.
