After that first segment, RAW just seemed like a let-down. Not that that's anything against the show. The first segment was just so good. I was really anticipating a match between Rock and Orton afterwards. Too bad we won't be getting it. Also, I was cracking up at all the insults Rock dished out while being led outside. The man is one-of-a-kind.

There's nothing wrong with the writing of the Kane/Matt/Lita storyline. It's just that it doesn't really fit in a wrestling program. Plus, Matt (as much as I love him), Lita, nor Kane have the acting abilities to pull it off.

WAAAAAAAAAY too many Diva search vignettes. I get it. Now, stop shoving it down my throat.

Only three matches throughout the show? Wow. I didn't really notice, so it wasn't a negative. But, damn.

I liked how they took out all of Eugene's possible run-in saviors during the course of the show (except Benoit). Although I wasn't too happy with William Regal's total squash, but I guess it builds Kane up nicely. And I marked out for Regal's headbutt. I don't know why.

For some reason, the Hunter/Eugene match just didn't have the crowd behind them. I thought it told a good story, though, and am looking forward to how they will follow up the storyline next week.

I was marking out for Regal. For about five seconds it was great to see him fighting like it was a soccer riot.

I loved the stuff with Triple H and Eugene tonight. I got a good laugh when Evolution and Bischoff bursted into laughter before the match.

Eugene/Triple H was a decent match. I wonder if that shot to the head that Benoit gave him will smarten him up so to speak.

I really hate this Diva Search crap. Everytime it came on I flipped the channel and put Hannity and Colmes on.

Lets see...we have last year's PLAYMATE OF THE YEAR in the 'competition'.

Time to cut the shit and just declare her the winner.

All in all, an alright show.

Does anyone think that they are going to go with the "who is the REAL father" schtick for the duration of the angle? If that is the case, will the dad's theme music play as the baby makes its entrance/first breath?

That had to be Richards ... looked too much like him ... maybe this is the start of psycho Victoria coming back.

It was weird, it definitely looked like Richards but it looked strange...almost like someone wearing a Richards mask or something. I'm assuming he had SOMETHING on besides the wig since they showed his face for several seconds and the announcers pretended they didn't know who it was.

After the first couple of those segments, I kept trying to figure out where I recognized her from. I didn't figure it out until they showed the clip of her mentioning she was Playmate of the Year. The only reason I recognize her from that is because she was on a special Playboy Playmate week of Family Feud a couple months ago.

A Playboy Playmate edition of Family Feud?!?

That's either incredibly wrong or incredibly genius... I'm having a hard time deciding which.

I'm Renegade Raine and I approve this message:

The Rock promo...was alright. Could have been better, but it wasn't bad. Move over Hurricane! Rock has SUPERPOWERS~! He can manipulate any face wrestler to do as he wants, as he demonstrated with Edge. I mean, how else could have he known that Edge was going to attack Orton in three seconds? Yes, because he was controlling him! Eugene, however, has a special brain pattern that allows him to avoid the Rock's manipulation.

Man...I LOVE the pregnacy angle so far...it's hilarious! Seriously, I was nearly in tears from laughing so hard. Everything from Lita trying to act, Matt's expressions, Kane in general (ever since that promo where he was talking about killing a dog, he's been hilarious), and just the whole absurdity of it all makes it gold for me.

You know, I was telling my sister, during the match, that Victoria NEEDS to get Stevie back to make her more interesting. And I'm 75% sure that was Stevie in drag. Is that his new gimmick or was he in drag for no apparent reason? That was just...strange.

Yay! Regal gets a match! I told my sister that I'd mark out if he used the "power of the punch". I continue to be awed by Regal's superior (out of the wrestlers) acting ability.

Man...I SO could imagine Johnny Nitro in one of those Burger King commercials. I don't know why, maybe I'm just having Nitro withdrawls...

Since WHEN did Stacy become the Ultimate Secret Keeper?

I know that none of these chicks are exactly quality material...but one of the chicks they picked was FUGLY. And the Coach said that they liked everything about her? Are they BLIND? Since one of them have to win, I'll just hope for the black chick with the afro to win. But really...does anyone give a fuck about the contest?

I actually felt kind of bad for Eugene before the match...and I think that's a good thing. Good job on building up for the match.

I'm crestfallen at the lack of kawaiiness on RAW, but it was an alright show.

What I like is that Raw is a little less unpredicatable (ok maybe not a WHOLE lot, but just a little bit), I mean there all tons of ways they go with the main event next week. Will Kane win the title? Will Benoit retain? Will Bischoff punish Benoit with some stipulation that causes him to lose it? Or will Benoit overcome the punishment? Will Matt interfere and cost Kane the title? Will HBK get involved look for revenge on Kane? Will Triple H get inovolved? Will a heel Eugene attack Benoit?

I liked the Rock promo, could've cut out the beginning where he ragged on the football players but I liked the rest.

I can't agree with whoever it is that said Stacey and Lita are in a dead heat for worst actress, it's not even close, Lita wins it. (not that i'm saying Stacey is good mind you)

EVERYBODY needs more Stevie, he should manage everybody in the company.

I'm looking forward to a future Orton/ROck match (Summerslam?) more than Orton and Edge. The Rock really busts his ass when it comes to ppvs, I think anybody could have a good one on one match with him.

So which one of the girls was the Playmate, was it the one with the dark hair wearing blue jeans? That was the ONLY one of them I thought was attractive at all.

Goodness:
-Rock tossing a donut to Rosey
-Eugene's test of strength with HHH and Flair
-William (can he be Steven again?) Regal
-Delicious chicken I had during the show

Badness:
-Diva Search (Skanks a poppin!)
-No one bringing up what happened the last time Matt proposed to Lita
-No reason to knock Jericho out of the tag match, then still have Edge lose
-Sub par ice cream sandwich took the luster off the chicken dinner from earlier

Jericho was taken out as he was, just like Regal, to keep him from interfering in the Eugene/HHH match. By hook or by crook, they took care of everyone who had a reason to help Eugene. Rock was thrown out, Benoit was threatened (though he still came anyway), Regal was taken out by Kane, and Jericho was taken out by Batista.

But they easily could have had Orton and Batista beat, then beat down Edge and Jericho in order to keep them from helping Eugene later. Knocking out Jericho, then having Edge get a quick pin on Orton accomplishes the same thing, pays off the spear from the beginning of the show, and furthers the Orton/Edge feud as well. Its just sloppy booking.

Boring night. Three matches, only one of which was really worth watching (Y2J/Edge v Batista/orton) The crowd was absolutely DEAD tonite, except the Rock portion.

Sign of the night, Eugene on the short bus being driven by the running with a hatchet guy.

Boring night alltogether. At least we say Molly in the back, looking tastey.

One would think losing a handicap match against two of the top heels after your partner gets hurt would be, in fact, very logical booking.

Logic is for other shows...this is wrestling. If we're going to watch 5-7 minutes of Edge going 1 on 2 against Evolution, "wrestling logic" dictates that he wins.

I hear ya, there was one that looked like she had borrowed a clown's makeup kit. I would have cut my arm off to be with most of the girls they cut. I wasn't exactly impressed with their choices (one was smoking (the one who kinda looked like Eva Mendes), another was cute but the rest of them were bleh in my opinion).

HHH was perfect last night. He came off really well and I think did a great job, however they really needed Rocky to come out in lieu of Benoit. The crowd was absolutely dead at the end of that show.

Sign of the night- Hey that's not HHH It's Flab

I literally sat on the edge of my seat when William Regal made his comments to Eric Bischoff. The "dirty rotten scoundrel" comment was one of the greatest lines ever written for that show, without a doubt.

"I know I'm a dirty, rotten scoundrel. Absolutely rotten to the core, always have been, always will be. But I love that boy. I absolutely love that boy. There's not a drop of harm in him. But you, he loves you more than anything in the world, and you treat him like bloody dirt. You should be thoroughly ashamed of yourself."

I couldn't have been the only one marking out against all logic for Rock/Orton at Vengeance. I mean there has to be a reason that Orton's on the poster. Then when Edge came out it was such a let down.

I don't care about the Diva search. Give me a Joe Schmo 2 promo. It's actually good.

Trish/Victoria was pretty good, but the crowd was worn out after the Rock. I hope the guy in drag was Stevie but the possibilities are endless.

Kane/Matt/Lita didn't bother me tonight. Although I'm thinking this is all a set up to bring back Jeff Hardy. Richmond would be a good place for him to return.

Y2J/Edge vs Evolution and HHH vs. Eugene were both good TV matches. I agree with meatcurtains that Edge should have won. This show would have been good with less diva promos and an additional match.

The Rock was hilarious, in parts. In others, I couldn't help but think, Dude stop wasting my time. I love when The Rock shows up, but he needs to remember to act like a wrestler giving a promo when he's in the ring, and not waste 10 minutes of my time giving random shout outs. How many times did he say 'ya'll' anyway?

Orton was good in his spot here too. He doesn't have everything down to a science yet, but he's slowly looking less like a kid trying to play the big bad wrestler, and coming into his own as a cocky punk. Edge vs Orton... BORING, why not Jericho? Would have been much better. Edge should be slowly turning heel, and a short feud with Batista (who I see as the first member of Evolution, disregarding Flair of course, who could turn effectively face) would be much better for everybody. Edge and Orton are too bland in the ring, while I find Jericho and Batista both very fun to watch in the ring.

Yay, Stevie is back. But could have the announcers ignored the situation anymore? The camera was still on the ring, and already JR was talking about the main event. And why end the segment there anyway? Why not have Stevie pull off the wig and at least have Victoria acknowledge that it was he who saved her. Thats not the type of thing to use as a cliffhanger, people need a reason to care in order for suspense to work. All they saw was a redheaded transvestite with a fairly hidden face.

The tag match was good. Not much more to say about it. Batista rules, especially since he's cut back on his stupid posing.

Regal mouthing off the Bischoff and Eugene coming out of the limo were the two best parts of the show. The action figures were a nice touch, but Eugene saying Flair's "son of a gun" line was brilliant. I need an audio file of that. Anyone know how to do that?

Kane/Lita/Matt thoughts are in another thread. To sum it up, I don't like it, I don't hate it, but I am amused by the whole idea.

The main event did not live up to expectations. I agree with whoever said Eugene should not have beaten HHH at the test of strength. That was just ridiculous. Eugene should be busting out crazy chain wrestling and using the finishers of every wrestling legend possible as his offense. Not pushing around the #1 heel in the company like he is Superman. The Benoit chair-shot is a nice twist. I really hope HHH/Benoit doesn't happen at Vengeance. That would be a waste. But, since HHH didn't win the match, he's not the #1 contender anyway, right??

Even more reason to hate this angle.

Raw was pretty boring overall. Too much talking, too much Diva Search crap, not enough wrestling. Only 3 matches is pathetic, especially when only 1 of them (tag match) was worth anything.

-Wasn't feeling the Rock segment. Dragged on way too long, and wasn't very funny. ZACH~! and Jason Taylor made the segment for me. Not sure what to make of the Rock/Orton interaction Was it just a set up for Edge to spear Orton, or are they continuing to PUSHPUSHPUSH Orton by having Rock job to him? And it should be "My Little Pony", unless they didn't want to give a defunct toy line free promotion.

-Victoria/Trish was OK for a women's match. I knew Trish was too far for Victoria's moonsault, and was proven correct when Victoria almost caved in Trish's chest by landing knee's first on her. Looked like it hurt.

-Tag match was good. They made a good job of making Jericho's injury look legit, what with Batista backing off, but kinda gave it away when refs came down to check on him. Decent match considering the 3 who remained.

-Kane/Matt/Lita - ugh.

-HHH/Eugene was OK for what it was - HHH comes off as a dick, Eugene stays sympathetic, and Benoit looks good by saving Eugene, and HHH/Benoit gets set up. Not sure where they're going with the chair shot to Eugene, though. Flair flipping out after Eugene did the Flair Strut got a good laugh out of me.

Overall, pretty boring. Found myself flipping away quite often.

Maybe they'll do the Addams Family routine where Fester hits his head, has amnesia and different groups of people take turns hitting him on the head to bring his memory back not knowing they're turning his memory on and off.

Eugene's RAW chairshot could brighten him up and each subsequent chairshot would alternate his level of intelligence. Or he could develop an Angry Allen Funk persona.
