I know, this is my third post in this thread, (it's the last one, I swear!) but I just had to bring this up...

From WWE.com:

Lita released some pent-up emotion in a mixed tag match, blasting Women’s Champion Trish Stratus with a DDT to pick up the win on behalf of Matt Hardy. But Lita still has the weight of other matters on her mind. Watch Monday Night RAW next week to discover why she wasn’t exactly celebrating the news that her pregnancy test came up positive.

So, WWE.com knows why Lita isn't happy with her pregnancy?! That's a blatant BREAKING OF KAYFABE! Shame on you, WWE.com! SHAME!

Speaking of Lita, you always gotta love it when someone says, “Don't tell anyone this...” in front of a friend... and 40 million people on national television. Yeah, if Matt doesn't watch WWE programming at all for the next week, or speak to a single fan, he'll be absolutely shocked when Lita reveals her pregnancy. D'oh.

I was taping Raw while watching Clemens get torched by the Cubs and I switched over during every half inning break and they were in commercial every time. Now come to think of it, about 80% were Joe Schmoe 2. And of course I set the timer to end at 11:15 since the over runs have been no longer than 5-7 minutes for months now.

I swear I heard the popcorn guy yelling "POPCORN! GET YOUR POPCORN HERE!" During the womans tag match. Nidia almost falling out of her top had me intrigued though.

Both JR and the king dressed up today? Was it a show of support for the new WWE Dress Code?

HBK Spitting up more blood than a zombie from 28 Days After. Not convincing at all. But, better than the trickle of blood that always came out of Ken Shamrock whenever he got his "internal injuries".

Flag match had a nice heel reaction at the end, probably the loudest they were all night.

Lita is knocked up. WHOOPIE! Stacey acts about as good as any first time porn actress.

HHH and Eugene was great. I was hoping for a beat down but, I guess I will have to wait until next week.

Otherwise, a boring, boring Raw, and, if I see Joe Schmoe once more, I will break his head open. Worst show the first time, and a second time? PLEASE. Cant get much more dull.

Thank you for your irrelevant opinion.

I thought it was a good show, and cant wait to see what they do with Eugene next week. Like it or not, with the marks he is probably the most popular wrestler on the roster. WWE might put the frickin belt on him on SummerSlam..."shiver".
Keller gave us the heads up on the Lita angle, so that was no surprise.

Uh...over or not, Dinsmore's still a rookie, so they're not putting the belt on him quite yet.

They put the strap on Lesnar when he was a rookie. Hell, he main evented WrestleMania as a rookie.

Granted, he was an unstoppable monster and Eugene is "special," but the precedent is there.

I love my TiVo, I love my TiVo, I love my TiVo. This was a really good show overall, given that I could FF all the Joe Schmo crap! (Fortunately I was watching about 10 minutes behind by the end of the show, so when it looked like we were going long, I still had time to grab the over-over-run.)

Johnny Nitro is truly gone from Uncle Eric's opening photograph.

Kane demolishing Bischoff's office was fun. A good office demolition is great, as long as it's done well & only occasionally! (I know who I'm calling next time I need a sofa moved. Note to self: Clear all electronics first.)

What was the deal with JR & Lawler both being dressed up?

Getting HHH & HBK into the ring together was interesting. Then the Bischoff interruption, followed by the Kane interruption were both well timed & properly swerve-y. Yeah, bundling Shawn up & carrying him out got some air time (although not as much as Joe Schmo), but it's a pretty major story arc point -- it wouldn't be appropriate to just toss him on a backboard & have him vanish. Besides, if they hadn't followed Shawn all the way to the ambulance, we wouldn't have gotten to see Maven helpfully opening the ambulance door. :-)

Not a doctor, but I doubt that you'd be spitting up copious amounts of blood from a "crushed larnynx (sic JR)". Details.

C'mon -- y'gotta like Trish doing her Matrix move to duck Lita's forearm, Trish smirking to the crowd about "I'm so smart", then turning right into the forearm on the other side.

The blown spot between Tomko & Hardy was pretty ugly -- looked to me like Matt came in on Tomko much higher than Tomko was ready for. It certainly would have been better if Tomko had just dropped Matt, then regrouped. But, he didn't get too rattled, picked him right back up, & carried on fine. Tomko bumps & sells well, throws decent punches, & seems to follow his opponent's lead pretty well -- could be a lot worse for a rookie in the majors.

I loved HHH tonight. Ambiguity with Shawn & Kane in the first segment. Smarmy to annoyed to conspiratorial with Bischoff in the office. Awesomely evil with Eugene, plus funny. Cheating team player in the main event. Pretty good for being all beat up. :-)

If I understand the rules correctly, the U.S. flag should have been on the left. Bizarre that they made a big deal of the holiday, then had La Res win, even with a cheat. They really do need to let Hurricane & Rosey get a little credibility back -- no reason not to.

Sylvain's singing gets worse every time. Being out of breath from the match doesn't help any. :-)

The pregnant Lita segments were bad & dumb, but it was inevitable that it'd happen. Picking the biggest bimbette on the roster as your confidante is superbly dumb.

And speaking of said bimbette, what the hell were we doing a) putting her in a match; & b) leaving her in a match?!?! The women started off really well with Nidia in! Then Stacy came in. Stacy doesn't even bounce off the ropes properly! I kept waiting for her to tag Nidia back in, so we could get some useful wrestling, but noooOOOOooo. Feh.

Meanwhile, back at the Highlight Reel: "We're both sexy beasts." This was a great (talking) segment. Besides awesome HHH, Regal being disgusted (both with the reminder of the tea incident & with HHH's behaviour), Jericho's sardonic reactions, & Eugene being perfect Eugene -- this was wonderful stuff.

No doubt that they're still planning an Edge turn -- the other 2 members of Team Canuck have been re-homed to the US, but Edge is still "from Toronto, Canada."

JR at one point during the main event actually said, "King, you're babbling about nothing. ... Leave it alone. Give it a rest. Have a decaf." OK, that I liked.

Main event was great! Good teamwork on both sides. I love that they're keeping Batista's image so strong -- although he was out first, he got hit with everybody's finishers in succession to do it. Randy & Jericho selling Randy's chinlock -- very nice. That was a lot of work (and air!) for Flair -- I'm quite sure, at some point during or immdiately after the match, he must have said, "I'm gettin' too damn old for this." Lovely trash talk from Benoit to Flair. Also lovely switching gears to work different styles with the different opponents. Edge wasn't in a whole lot, but what he was looked good. After getting to herd a baby-kins around last night, looked like Jericho was having a great deal of fun playing with the other big kids. Randy was great trying not to tap out at the end, including biting on his elbow pad (Tee-hee). The whole thing was just great fun stuff!

I really, genuinely thought they knew better than to go for the pregnancy angle. I guess I'll wait to complain until they really give me something to complain about, but I just don't see any way this is going to turn out well.

I thought the rest of the stuff was pretty decent, though. The Eugene promo and the main event were both great, and I thought the women's match and the mixed tag were both passable. Tomko's actually a little better than I expected. The Flag Day match was pretty poor, but what were you really expecting from it, we've seen these teams fight like 10 times already. As for the Joe Schmoe promo, I see people complaining that it was 15 minutes long, but I really thought it was only 7 or 8 minutes. I went to the bathroom and got a snack, and when I came back it was over.

Nice to see Matt Hardy on RAW, as always, but the people in charge of his entrance really need to learn how to do it correctly. First they show the Mattitude borders while they cut away to an HBK ambulance sequence, and then, when he finally comes out, Trish's entrance video is still playing for the first 15 seconds or so. Funga, foiled again! And I would have gotten away with it too, had it not been for those meddling kids and their mangy dog!

See, when they threw up the Matt Hardy border during the ambulance run, I was HOPING the writers had gotten creative and we were about to see Matt Hardy hit the scene in some sort of Hilarious Heel Fashion.

Besides, deep down - if we can't have The Undertaker, Matt Hardy would be the next best thing to be sitting in the drivers seat, turning around, and asking "WHERE TO....PRINCESS????"

Face Hardy Facts suck.

-HBK/HHH/Kane interview- Oh no this is the last thing I want to see JR proclaiming the greatness that is HHH and HBK... Thank you Kane, Kane was particularly vicious tonight. Hard kicks to HBK face(Tomko take note). I don't get shocked much from a "blood spot" but this time on HBK it was damn over the top that even got me thinking "Yikes". That's a "lets take a long break from TV" injury angle if I've ever seen one.

-Lita/Hardy vs. Trish/Tomko- Speaking of Yikes Matt, stop with the Mattitude gimmick & Matt facts. It sux now. The whole Mattitude thing is the complete opposite the P-whip character Matt has now. Double Yikes for Tomko unable to catch Matt & dropping him into the ropes. Trish throws some nice forearms as Lita no sells it, paperlight wrist punches by Lita as Trish sells it like it's the hardest force that connects. Lita dominates & pins the New champion Trish... Gawd Dammit, what the f*ck are they doing! You quickly crown a new champ from nowhere because you desperately need the belt have credibility. So they have Trish get dominated & lose clean a day later to a woman who's going "non-division" storyline. Not just that, Lita goes in the match worried of being pregnant and wrestled PREGNANT & SQUASHED THE CHAMP! Can you start a reign any worse. Lita shows again why she's the plague to the women division.

-La Resistance vs. Rosey/Hurricane- Shouldn't Rosey & Hurricane represent the Justice League of Nations? What an absolute nothing match. I didn't mind who wins, if Team USA won we'd get some HLS (Hot Lilian Singing).. I know an American company and American fans might not think this hard but you know how uncomfortable it would be to have the American national anthem booed out of the building, well it's pretty uncomfortable for having your own booed out of the building even if it's sung really badly. Someone should tell the play by play guys that Quebec isn't a country.

-Highlight Reel- This was awesome on every level. Y2J starts out trying to warn Eugene about HHH not being a nice guy. Evolution comes out & OMG the looks on the faces of the people in the ring are awesome. Y2J not surprised with an annoyed smirk. Regal with pure untrust anger & Eugene in total awe. Meet HHH friends, handshake Orton, fist tap from Flair & Batista with a friendly thumbs up(BATISTA IS A STUD!). HHH is awesome here! His voice is so friendly, but we all know he's insincere... Gifts for Eugene, but can *I* get an autograph from you(Can he make Eugene feel any more special!) HHH wants a photo with him "When I say Pedigree, smile" as all he fans go Oh no, 123 *click photo* Oh. Shouldn't Eugene beware of the present if a snake pops out of it? Regal looks angry. Y2J needs to take the mic out of his pants(literally). HHH stole the segment as it shows when you give him some range he can be great on the mic.

-Kim/Molly vs. Keibler/Nidia- Nidia actually looked good at the start. She was dominating. Her top shelf is really out of control... Surprised they had Stacy in there for so long as the quality obviously went down when she was in there. But Stacy being so tall it added a cool visual(not in that way LoL) with Gail submission expert once again. Kind of feel bad for Molly, she's non-existent these days.

-Benoit/Edge/Y2J vs. Orton/Flair/Batista- Flair took insane amount of back bodydrops this match. Batista looked like a buh gawd beast when he was full speed attacking the faces with clotheslines. Batista gets eliminated first by all 3 faces hitting their finishers on him, he actually looked strong despite being the first ousted. Flair bumping more then anyone in there. RKO on Y2J Orton goes for the pin but remembers he's not legal allowing Flair to roll over Y2J... Benoit Germans on Flair as he screams to Orton "Make the Save" Orton does. Chinlock on Edge as he gets up King says Edge is giving up LoL. lowblow/RKO on Edge to get eliminated. Benoit crossface on Flair who taps out. Benoit/ Orton left, Ref bump(boo) HHH interference but gets met with a German. Crossface attempt, Orton rolls out. Benoit with a loose Sharpshooter, Orton desperately crawling to the ropes but can't taps. The CanadiAmericans win!

-OtherStuff- Wow Lita, nothing says class like having a fertility test in a arena bathroom. What's next giving birth in the equipment storage room, maybe circumcise the kid on top of the hockey nets... Lita tells her close friend Stacy about her secret. When you think of friendship you think Stacy & Lita, all those times they umm, how about when uhh? Were these 2 ever on camera together before today? Stacy a great person to tell, who better then Stacy to know about pregnancy. Maybe she can give Lita that baby carriage she used to in WCW when she filled it up with pictures of that crappy wrestler. Ah I'm sure Stacy has photos of Test to fill this baby carriage with today. I did love Stacy saying to Lita "you're going to get married?" I though she'd go on a rant about how Lita has to so the baby won't be a bastard(Stacy words). Stuff like that can scar a kid, just look at KANE (hint hint for the dumb ones)...

Daddy dearest Kane destroys Bischoff's office... Bischoff informs HHH that he will have a #1 contenders match next week versus Eugene... Diva Search, You too can be impregnated by a WWE heel.

-Line of the Night: LAWLER "Why do the girls love him, they are all cheering for him. It's almost as loud as mine"... ROSS "His isn't piped in"... LAWLER "Hey you're blowing my cover" - During Edge's entrance
-Sign of the Night: Huge "Evolution" sign - I really should be scanning the crowd more
-3Stars of the Night: 1)HHH. 2)Flair. 3)Batista.

Reading TGT WWE.com Lita listing pisses me off even more. Made the new champ seem worthless so Lita can release "pent up" emotion. F*ck in other words exactly what I've been saying, you have to feed Lita women wrestlers just for her "Xtreme Image" as the wrestlers go to back to the division weaker & Lita does crappy storylines & they keep doing it. Wonder why this division can't get any momentum started(not coincidentally when Lita came back) Everytime they take a step, they get tripped up so Mz Xtreme Crap gets put over Urah... On a positive, HHH showed that he can still be one of the best mic guys. It was an interview that wasn't talking about "I'm the champ & I'm great". This was HHH in a different situation & he showed he has range & his range is good. 35-minute main even & it was quick and good all the way through. HBK/Kane beatdown was very eye-catching

The Raw Random Sheet

Generally I don't like doing the full-on fanboy rant unless I've seen the entire show not muted, which just hasn't happened in the last two months for one reason or another.

-Glenn Jacobs...scientist, physicist. Searching for a way to tap the hidden strength that resides in us all, until one day, an accidental overdose of fire changed his mental chemistry. So now, when Glenn Jacobs gets angry, a startling metamorphasis occurs. And it occurred right in Bischoff's office. I don't know if I'm the first person today to say it, but isn't talent throwing a temper tantrum in Bisch's presence and using their force of will to get their way a summary of the last few years of WCW?

Oh, and by the way, KANE SMASH. That's where I was going with this to start.

-I think someone needed to take their Ricky Steamboat lessons a little more seriously. But kudos to Kane for finally having a move of his very own after 7 years. Remember kids, the ankle is Austin's, the head is Kane. They tried to make it the Savage-Steamboat angle with mustard (or more appropately, Red Food Coloring #3), but subtle difference. Savage took out Steamboat as a way to eliminate a threat to his precious IC Title, whereas Kane did it because...well, why the hell does Kane ever do ANYTHING? All that was missing was the post-segment interview where Bruno Sammartino whoops his ass and calls him slime. One last thing though...JR, if you're not a doctor, it may be a good idea to hold off on saying things like "crushed larnyx" until AFTER you get tot he point where the fake medical report becomes availble. Just because the crushed larnyx has already been used/accepted in wrestling canon doesn't mean you should jump the gun on it. That bothered me more than anything about the segment.

-And just as soon as we have a fake neck injury, in the first match, we almost get ourselves a real neck injury, but if nothing else, Tomko picked it up from there and moved on and didn't let it affect him for the rest of the match, which is what you're SUPPOSED to do when you fuck up that badly. Lita, though, seems to wrestle better when she's wrestling for two. But damn me for reading the spoils, since I was ready since we had already had a Steamboat segement tonigh, I was ready for the Warrior-Papa Shango segment where she threw up in the ring. WHICH if she's carrying demon spawn would be appropos. I wonder if it's a girl if they'll call her Katie as a remembrance. Or if it's a boy he'll name it Paul after his father. I'm brimming with questions.

-We finally found something that Sylvan Granier does well. Or NOT well as it were, and that's sing. But he sings not well very well.

-OK, there was NOTHING appealing about the Joe Schmoe preview that said: "Wow, I am going to watch that". Which is what traditionally trailers are supposed to do, right? The bit with the pearl necklaces was cute, and because I'm a sick bastard I laughed, but the joke will wear thin once I hear it the second time. And there WON'T be a second time if there's a first.

-The only thing that would have made the Highlight Reel better is...nothing, really. Everybody played their part perfectly. Forget about the fact that he's gotten a lot better in the ring than two years ago. Just with Batista giving the thumbs up to Eugene with that cool/disingenous expression I'm officially on the Batista bandwagon now. Trip, however, is at his best when he's being an insincere dick even when he's trying to pass off as sincere. It fits him much better than the caveman promos. Genius promo on his part, and it worked much better than Eugene idolizing HHH and HHH just being an ass about it. I liked the insincere thing much better.

-Speaking of Batista, he IS starting to get good. And by the way, as a booking lesson, THAT'S how you job a monster and still keep him strong at the same time. It took one of Jericho's Electric Boogaloo kicks, a spear, a Benoit headbutt and a lionsault to pin him, and then Benoit more or less took out Flair and Orton single-handedly. I guess they've stopped trying to make Orton look indomitable and started more with making him a more escape by the skin of his teeth heel champion. That purpose was served with Foley I guess. But then again, HE was leaving, the Edges, Benoits and Benjamins of the world aren't. Although I'd be remiss in pointing out that Hunter all night looked like an 80s coke lord who had just had Crockett and Tubbs beat the shit out of him.

NEXT WEEK ON RAW: Shawn Michaels goes to speech therapy and keeps making a "HE..HE...HE..HE" noise for the letter E...Eugene is too special to realize he just got buried, but Chris Jericho isn't...Kane runs loose through downtown Miami, only to get lost among the other rampaging lunatics that populate downtown Miami and the townspeople don't notice...Lita gets hit in the stomach and collapses and has a miscarriage, which may be caused from someone else's hand or the hand she's carrying in her womb. Also, tune in next week when you'll hear Kane say...

"Don't make me angry...you wouldn't LIKE me when I'm angry"

*cue the sad piano and we are done for the week*

Batista is starting to get better. Another year and this guy could be pretty decent.

Does everyone still cringe in fear when Flair gets a backdrop? I keep thinking there's gonna be one time that he doesn't make it over properly.

Will Johnny Nitro show up on Smackdown?

Since RAW is in Miami next week, wonder if the Rock will be at home to make an appearance?

I ain't saying I called it in a previous thread, but Gail Kim did sit down on the Stretch Muffler last night to get Stacy to tap out. That's it. Gail is the new Queen of Mean. As proof the Angle/Benoit/Brock style has taken over, we now have our first submission specialist diva. She's busting out new moves each match, making her the most interesting RAW superstar right now.

Yeah, she's the new hotness. When the WWE wises up and gives her the Shaniqua baton to run with, they can make gabillions as she tells crowds they will all submit to her.

I'm just so happy for Lita, really. But honestly, you could've tested at HOME, you know. Why do you think they call those HOME pregnancy tests....unless you sleep in the group shower? God, I hate this. And I don't want to hear that "maybe it won't be so bad" crap. It will be crap. As sure as I'm a woman who overshills joshi at times on this board. And this so called "baby" will not see the light of day, so to speak.

I did like the slimy HHH behavior with Eugene, though. Reminds me of the good ol' days. I'll make a bold prediction and say that their match and mini feud will be one of the year's best. Well, I did say it was a BOLD prediction. But for me, this show was too vanilla to me. By the way, I don't agree with JR's assessment of HBK and HHH being THE greatest match/feud of all time. No, it was pretty good, but it's no Foley-Helmsley (my opinion).

Also good to see some of you warm up to Gail Kim, finally. I had a feeling she wasn't too bad if she was given enough time. With all due respect, this show was too eh, for my taste, and yes Lita did kill my buzz (as usual), dammit.

The problem with Kim's first run was that she tried to be all lucha-tastic, which resulted in her blowing half her moves. Now, she's using a grounded, submission style, which dramatically cuts down on her chances to blow moves. No blown moves + cool submissions = happy viewers.

Can´t wait for Eugene vs. Triple H!

BUT I really don´t think they should give it away for free!

Man, that´s a potential PPV Main Event, as long as they would make it a Double Main Event scenario and the other one of those two matches would involve Benoit and the title AND Benoit´s match would go last that night!

Tell me you wouldn´t buy a PPV with Benoit/Edge (or Benoit/Jericho or Benoit/Orton) AND Eugene/Triple H on the card?!

Just because they're having a match doesn't mean they're having a decisive one. It could end with anything from Kane running in and going apeshit, Jericho sticking his nose in, Eugene's new friends Evolution intervening or even Eugene's best buddy The Rock making a hometown appearance. I have a feeling two things come out of this match regardless of how they get there. The #1 contender is NOT decided after Monday and Eugene still will be undefeated. In other words, expect a non-finish.

I expect you fans, you people here in LA to do what you do best. RIOT!

The one thing that stuck out for me (and brought back memories of the Alliance angle) was how easily in the near future they could have a huge Regal face push near the top of the card. If/when at some point they have Regal just go off on HHH or Bischoff about what they're doing to Eugene, or have Regal physically step in to help him, I really feel like the crowds would buy that at this point. I know they're more likely setting up the inevitable swerve angle which I'm sure will play out nicely, but I can't help but think the obvious route is not the most profitable one they could take.

Royalrumble.com says Undertaker eliminated maven. The whole match, I did not realize this, and thought they would pull a Vince/Austin 1999 finish, with Maven being out most of the match (but not eliminated), only to come back in at the end to win it.
