From somewhere in Quebec, it's time for Raw...and a Fashion Report, too! Happy Memorial day, everyone (or, as you call it in Canada, Monday).

Benoit, in black tights with blue slashes, the Heavyweight Title and Tag Title over his shoulders, and Edge, in blue "Edge" trench coat and black tights with blue/silver "Edge" splats, vs. La Resistance, in blue "La Resistance" vests with white trim and white fleur-de-lis undies, waving Quebec flags. New champs! (Damn shame I had to miss this match.)

La Resistance is still celebrating.

In the back, Todd interviews Randy. Todd's even got FOOTAGE! of Shelton pinning Randy in last week's tag match.

Meanwhile, Bisch and Regal hang out in Bisch's Room of Fun. Eugene comes in, as does Coach. Bisch demands that Coach apologize to Eugene, but Coach won't. So Bisch sends Coach out to the ring to do it.

Coach, in red shirt, black pants and black hat, is in the ring. Eugene comes out, in inside-out white/red "Eugene" jacket and blue undies. Coach eats the crow. Then Kane, in black tights with red barbed wire stripes, comes out. Coach and Kane trick Eugene and laugh heartily.

Moments ago, one sentence ago. Presently, in Bisch's Room of Fun, Coach and Bisch are hamming it up. Regal barges in, pissed at the duo. Bisch books Eugene vs. Kane and says that anyone who interferes will be fired.

Victoria2 (like Coke2), in white bikini top and black bikini top, and white hotpants, wearing the Women's Title, vs. Jazz, in open, hooded black sparkly "Jazz" robe, black and mesh bra and panties/tights. Dark-haired Referee is the official, in stripes. The match is non-title. Victoria gets the pin.

Memorial Day video package.

Randy, in red "Orton" undies with black hip scrawls, wearing the IC Title, with Batista, in black wifebeater and black jeans, vs. Shelton, in red singlet with silver trim (rolled-down). Chad Patton is the referee, in black and white stripes. Batista TOTALLY monopolizes Chad's time, allowing Randy to uncover the turnbuckle. Randy bleeds a little. AdBreak!

Cont. Batista's been helping-out, so Randy is in control. Chad sends Batista to the back. Damn; King is really annoying on commentary. Powerslam -> pin for Shelton. A nice match.

In the back, Todd interviews Stacie. She's excited for the Diva Search - no, really!

HHH, in grey suit and black polo shirt, struts to the ring. He cuts a promo on Shawn and the Hell in a Cell match, with a video package as a visual display.

The announcers run-down the as-yet announced card for Bad Blood.

Johnny, suave in his black shirt, visits Bisch. Bisch sends Johnny to fetch him Eugene.

Mattitude, in red/black shirt and pants, with Lita, vs. Cade, in red undies. Jack Doan is the match official. Twist of Fate -> pin.

Smackdown! (no - make the hurting stop) Rebound

In Bisch's Room of Fun, Eric comes clean with Eugene. I honestly think Bischoff believes what he said - he doesn't believe the Eugene is cut-out for the business, and he must prove that to his nephew.

Memorial Day video package.

FOOTAGE! of Raw in Ireland and England.

Hilight Reel, with Trish in black top and pinstriped black pants, with Tyson, in black pants. Generic heel shtick, with FOOTAGE!. Jericho, in sleeveless white tshirt and black tights with blue lightning, is out; tease Trish in the Walls, then take a beating from Tomko.

In the back, a 360-view of Kane. He stands there, then he looks at the camera.

Kane, in same as before, with FOOTAGE! of Coach/Kane from earlier, vs. Eugene, also in same as before. Mike Chioda is the referee, in the stripes. Eugene wins by DQ. Postmatch, Kane kicks Eugene's ass. Out comes Benoit; he fights off Kane.

Overall: Holy fuck, this Diva Search is lame; and it drags-down so many segments, too! This show just never "sucked me in"; it was just kind of there (maybe I just wasn't in the mood for it tonight). But at least they dropped the Kane/Lita/Mattitude stuff.

If they go with a Doug Christie-type angle with Matt Hardy and Lita, I will buy every pay-per-view that they appear on.

Did anyone else get flashbacks to the NWA Main Event circa 1988 with the finish to Eugene v Kane? "Nikita just hit Tully Blanchard with the Russian Sickle and Sting has hooked Tully in the Scorpion Deathlock, but J.J. Dillon just gave Arn Anderson his SHOE! Tommy Young tries to stop it and Arn pushes him away! There's the bell!"

Was it a special RAW because they had the WWF/E's two 'special' competitors in the main event?
Its been 6 1/2 years. Can they please stop chanting for Bret?
Did they show the clips of Nash in the HITC as a special tribute to Scott Hall appearing on Nitro on Memorial Day '96, thus kicking off the nWo invasion and the shift in the balance of power?
Trish and Stacy should not speak. You can almost hear the wind tunnel through her head when Stacy tries to formulate a thought. And I've never seen anyone have more difficulty trying to figure out how to throw a kick than Tyson Tomko.
Boo'ing Benoit in Canada? Let's Go Sylvan? No wonder why the rest of Canada wants to kick out Quebec.
Hot opener. Rest of the show was just there.

Considering Yogi Bear doesn't wake up until noon, yet gets every picnic basket that is in Jellystone Park, wouldn't it behoove Ranger Smith to advise those entering the park to consume the contents of said picnic baskets before noon?

Random RAW thoughts.

I missed half of RAW cause I was watching the FOOD channel. How lame is THAT?!
Trish was off the charts HOT tonight.
Eugene Hulked up! He reminded me of popeye with that face he made.
Are they gonna just forget the Lita storyline with Kane? I dont get it.
How credible is Kane going into a PPV when he cant beat a retard easily?

I miss the GWF.

Another sub-par Raw. None of the matches were any good. Opening tag was probably the best IMO, but it wasn't anything special. Really weird seeing Grenier getting face pops, and Le Res getting a huge pop for winning the belts. Orton/Shelton never clicked, which is odd seeing as they've been doing house shows together for a little while now. Trish looked smoking hot, and drew some great heel heat, and Jericho got a huge face pop when he showed up. Granted, it's Canada, but the WWE is missing out by shackling Jericho to that slug Tomko.

Did you listen to J.R.? "This young team winning the titles in their home province..." Rob Conway doesn't come from Quebec, does he? Oh, right, kayfabe.

I've never heard a deader crowd than in that Victoria/Jazz match.

Also, it was nice to see Eugene making the SUPERMAN COMEBACK~! and Hulking up or whatever that was...

I thought Trish overplayed the ditsy bitch perfectly. Tell me you don't know girls that act like that.

This angle with Kane would have worked so much better with Shannon Moore instead of Lita. Kane wanting young Shannon to say 'yes', Matt stepping up to protect what is rightfully his. Wrestling meets "OZ" and Shannon bumps a million times better than Lita.

Come on Kane, you don't hit retards, Samoans or black men from the islands in the head!

Interesting choice to give the Quebecers v2.0 the titles in Montreal. Now, when will Evolution take them away?

It's official - Victoria is your new Dance Dance Champion. Blah.

Looks like the turnbuckles should be attached with Velcro for Orton. *Three* stalls, including a throw out of the ring, to get the turnbuckle off? No wonder the crowd cheered when he finally removed it.

Jericho should have a storeroom of additional asses, for the number of times he's had his ass handed to him since he began feuding with Trish.

Looking at Bischoff's face, it looked to me like even he had doubts about sending Eugene out to be mauled by Kane.

Middling show.

Steph

Ugh. This was as bad as Smackdown's been lately. Orton constantly fuckupery continued but he can't be held responsible for the complete deadness of the first half of their match. What was up with that? I guess the ref told them to wake up during the commercials.

Can we have something valid as our main event please, it's been brutal for two weeks. Kane is so utterly worthless now I can't believe it's the same guy who was so over a few years ago. Eugene has his place, but it's not dummying the Big Red Machine.

I really cannot believe that RAW was as bad as it was. I thought the Shelton-Orton match was terrible, the Hardy-Cade match had no point whatsoever, and they managed to take more credibility away from Kane by having Eugene put him to shame for a good part of the match. Also, I never want to see victoria dance again, it's painful to watch. The only bright spots were Trish coming out looking as hot as I've seen her, and the hilarity of Hunter actually getting cheers(I believe that if shawm michaels dove in front of a missile, sacrificing his life to save the entire country of Canada, they would still tell him he screwed Bret.)

I can't believe how quiet the crowd was during the Orton/Benjamin match.

The hometown boy(s) won the titles...don't know if you can call Rob Conway a hometown boy (seeing as though he's billed from being from Quebec) but still, it's good to see that happen.

Good work not having Shawn on the show. We don't need to hear "YOU SCREWED BRET" yet again.

What's with jobbing Garrison (I'm Lance, dammit!) Cade? For that matter, what of his alliance with the Coach? Oh wait...that's continuity. No use for that in WWE, right?

Highlight of the night was Eugene. I'm digging Dinsmore's work. Eugene's the only reason I watch Raw nowadays.

Victoria's new music sucks. I miss T.a.T.u's music. Bring us the preteen lesbian music!

Overall, an average show. Mind you, Smackdown on it's best day doesn't even equal Raw on it's worst day these days.

The show didn't seem to quite click with me.

With the Orton/Benjamin match I almost feel that the reason it got sloppy was right went Orton started bleeding. I never saw him get a chance to begin the blade job and it looked like they're heads collided pretty damn hard(hard enough to make a small cut I'm not sure) but yeah.

All hail Evil Trish ;)

I don't think I've ever seen a wrestler actually yell "I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" at a crowd before like Victoria did. Having said that, they were dead most of the night. But given the fact the Flames were playing tonight, I'm surprised anybody showed up at all. (BTW - They were at the Bell Centre in Montreal.)

Having said that, WOW that girl is flexible.

I liked HHH's HITC video package. That did a nice job of showcasing his history in that type of match. If you're not going to have Michaels on the show, I guess that'll have to do.

I'm kinda glad for the belt change. At least it's on a full-time organized tag team now.

Orton and Benjamin went on far too long. They should have made it short and fluky, then worked out the long match on the PPV. Now it's like "Oh we get to see this again, but the belt's on the line this time." Well it wasn't that great this time...why's it going to be any better next time?

Judging from the size of the lump visible when they did that close-up of Orton's face, it wasn't a blade job.

I would have thought that this was an okay Raw -- IF they didn't have a PPV in two weeks. As it was, they just wasted a week without doing much to build up any of the PPV matches. And it looks like they've chosen to just forget the Kane/Lita angle, which is all well and good but makes the previous weeks look like even more of a waste.

-Seriously, what is the point of Garrison Cade? The man has no gimmick, a boring name, and is a boring wrestler. I never wanna see this guy on my screen again.

-I do wanna see Trish, as she looked mmmmmmmmmmmm tonight. Her impression of J.R. was great.

-Never thought I'd hear a "Let's go Sylvan" chant. Then after the match we hear this Todd Grisham guy go "Wow, New tag champs!" Seemed like the Quebec crowd booed him right when he went on the screen. This guy sucks.

-The Triple H hell in a cell video package was nicely done. Pretty much filler since they couldn't bring HBK into Canada.

-Victoria dancing...why?

-If Eugene would have done the finger pointing, irish whip, big boot, then leg drop; that would have made my night.

You know who Eugene looks like? The jolly Harley-loving American from Bloodsport (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092675/).
I realized that last night when Benoit ran out to save him from his upcoming rival Kane. If Kane throws sand in Benoit's eyes blinding him, and Benoit must think back to his training, I will call Bad Blood the greatest PPV in the history of time.

I thought all the story elements were in place, but none of the matches really clicked. I figure they were just wore out from their tour of the Brittish Isles over the weekend, because I noticed right at the beginning of the show that all the wrestlers seemed real lethargic.
