If it helps, Greymarch, Gangrel just had a match this past week on OVW television against former OVW champ Elijah Burke. So maybe it means he's working his way back through the ranks via OVW.

I only got to see a bit of the HBK/Benjamin match last night, but what I saw looked great! Glad to see it for Shelton, as he always did well in OVW.

The Hurricane/Rosey finisher -- the two-man Nightmare on Helms Street -- needs a proper hero moniker. I suggest the Fall of Justice.

The move already has a SuperHero name.

Oh yeah, the part of the hurricane with comparatively light winds and fair weather totally strikes fear into the hearts of evildoers. That's not superheroic, that's jobber twin powers-esque.

So he should be the Steve Stifler of the WWE?

I have to mirror all the praise for the show, particularly for Shelton/Michaels. Shelton does continue to impress. But one thing that everyone has failed to mention so far was what I thought was a direct reference to Canadian Bulldog's column by Edge! I can't imagine Edge saying, "Bank on it! This Interview is over!" just by coincidence.

Yes, to put a rest to the rumors once and for all, I have been retained as Mr. Copeland's official script writer.

I just hope this means I get the next crack at Lita...

Dude, it took Edge years to work up the ladder to Lita.

You’re new. You have to pay your dues.

Damn, I can't figure out what they're thinking about Vis.

If they want to try "hard up horny guy" and play it for laughs, that would be one thing. But the thing with Lilian was just plain creepy. Not a good vibe for an alleged face (which is what he was as soon as Simon came out). Yeesh.

The new Viscera = Mizark (Sexual Chocolate) Henry, once again.

and if I recall, Mark Henry's character wasn't very good, either. Will it work the second time around?

Also, Viscera was a name given during the Ministry angle, so why keep it up? Does he really need to be associated with entrails? (dict.die.net)

Ya gotta give the big guy some credit for really throwing himself into this though. He could've just gone through the motions with this, but instead it looks like he's having some fun.

Although if you got to grab Trish and Lillian at work and not be sued for harassment...wouldn't YOU throw yourself into work?

But the tongue between the fingers thing as he left the ring? Tres classy!

The Lovely Mrs. Tracker turned to me after that and asked, "they can do that on TV now?" All I could say was "He just did."

Immediately upon seeing this action, I found myself yelling "you can't do that on TV!" at my television set.

Shelton: I *love* Shelton's ringwork. His athleticism & creativity are excellent. I love watching his matches. No doubt that he could/will be among the top technical workers ever. But the guy can't talk. At all. And unless somebody finds some way around that, it's a deal-breaker in terms of his being a sustainable top-level guy.

Regarding Lita's top: Double-sided tape. Don't leave home without it.

Viscera: Continues to be totally gross & disgusting. Eeeeeuuuuuuch.

There's an old line in baseball that goes "If you open your eyes, it improves your chances of hitting by at least 50%". That's kinda Shelton's problem in that I think if he could just get out of the habit of looking at the camera sleepy-eyed, that's half the battle won right there. Him talking to anyone on-camera is almost like watching an 8-year old who won't look at the person he's talking to. And that does not come off well on TV.

The thing about him is, I saw an interview with him where they were asking him about video games (apparently he wins some wrestler video game tournament every year around Wrestlemania time), and he was really relaxed and charismatic! He needs to figure out how to channel that natural charisma into in-character charisma.

First post guys, be gentle. Heh.

My roommate and I were absolutely floored to see Trips tap, Batista interference or no. I do suppose it's nice to see some sort of consistency from the WWE, in that Chris Benoit constantly seems to have Triple H's "number" (as JR would say), and any match involving the two is a hard win for Hunter if he can win it at all.

Speaking of which, the other superstar on my mind who's historically "got Trip's number" is Shelton, which is why I'd really like to see him vs Trips headline next year's wrestlemania.

I'm getting thoroughly convinced that Shelton has "It". He can put on a good match at the drop of a hat, and can put on 4+ star matches given a good opponent. The WWE doesn't have many of those left now that Jericho is on his way out (by all appearances) and Angle is a bad bump away from forced retirement. Also he doesn't appear to have the ego that a Brock or a Goldberg had, so they can wait to pull the trigger on his big push for awhile. Slow pushes always work best IMO anyway. Look what it did for Batista's popularity compared to Orton's.

For that Wrestlemana main event, I think we'd get a much more exciting main event if they ran it Eddie Guerrero/Kurt Angle style from WM XX, where Shelton picks up the title at the royal rumble, or even as far back as Armageddon, and then has a rumble-winning Triple H with monster momentum to contend with. It'd mean so much more than him pulling the same old face-wins-rumble-to-defeat-heel-champ we've seen Benoit, Brock, and Batista do the past 3 years. You're never going to keep the belt away from Hunter for any long period of time, but how can he protest to a rumble win into WM main event scenario?

As for Pushing Shelton and his poor mic skills... take a look at Chris Benoit and Bradshaw. Before his JBL persona, all Bradshaw could do was a poor man's Steve Austin. "Hey let's drink some beer and kick some ass! Yeah!" He turned out to have all sorts of mic skills that were waiting to be discovered. Benoit is.. um... better than he used to be? He still is no Rock, Austin, or even a Jericho or a Michaels, but he can get the job done on the mic and then whip out the ring skills to make a totally believable champion/contender.

the problem is, that's not likely. i mean, i was a big goldberg mark when he was in wcw -- he was exciting, they kept his matches short enough to make him look good, etc. and, i would expect him to make an impact immediately upon coming to the wwe.
