I'm surprised for the love for this RAW- I thought it was awful.
-You had a too-short opening contest, but I can see that they didn't want to give away too much if they plan on having those two feud. -Then was the Viscera/Trish thing, though while kinda funny, you know is going to eventually lead to a Viscera/Kane match. -The HeartThrobs were embarrassing- another rehashed gimmick, and the match wasn't good either. -Michaels v.s Hassan was sadly the match of the night- the Hogan thing, while I did mark out, was EXACTLY what he did at WM (which they showed pretty much in its entirety the night after anyway) and the celebration went on WAY too long. -A Chris Masters segment. -A lame Chris Jericho song that could've been written by a 14-year old. -And Triple H beating up Jim Ross for 10 MINUTES, while most people stopped caring after 4 (I know I did). That last segment was BRUTAL.
Originally posted by hhhgamewmx7Good Raw overall, Hogan/HBK was great and lasted as long as it should have, they have never been in the ring together in any capacity to my knowledge. Maybe an early 90s Rumble.
Yep, they were in the ring at the same time briefly during the 1990 Rumble match before the Warrior tossed Michaels.
It's been so long, but I have been too busy the last couple of months.
Sorry, a little late, but we watched RAW and Smackdown back to back tonight.
Raw Thoughts (just off the top of my head)
1) Perfect for Hogan to come back for two reasons...A) NYC/MSG - the top arena in the country for the WWE, and B) Hassan tipped us off about Hogan/HBK not contacted...but the posedown at the end of the segment...funny and getting boring at the same time. It started to remind me of the HHH/Scott Steiner posedown a couple of years ago.
2) Coach doing play by play for the entire 2 hours. A breath of fresh air for us. Have JR sell his beating and not have him in England for next week's RAW. I wish.
3) Viscera/Trish...Finally, a segment I liked with Viscera since the Corporate Ministry days. Anyway, swimming Trish, very pretty.
4) JR/HHH...ugh, look at the entrances. HHH with the spotlights and his video...JR with, a live shot of him WALKING TO THE RING!!! Even Coach has a video.
SPOILER: according to 411 wrestling.com, Rock will win the triple threat match on Sunday, and face Brock Lesnar at Summerslam. On the September issue of WWE Magazine, the cover features a picture of Rock vs Brock.
