See, I have to wonder if it was important who was driving Christian's car. On the one hand, I'm watching and I think "Gee, who's driving the car?" On the other, no one, NO ONE, mentioned this at all on the show. So is it important or not?

It wouldn't be unprecedented that it's a point they backtrack to later without beating the point to death at the time it happens. It could be nothing, but it could also be one of those little things for those paying attention.

if they have snuka in foley/rock's corner ( i know they didn't say in their corner, just that he'd be in attendance) they must get cowboy bob orton jr in evolutions corner just based on the history of the main event of WM1.

also is snuka somehow in relation to rock? by marriage or anything, i forget.

The Rock was really crazy last night. When they showed him prior to the last segment, I just got this image of him spending the time after his meeting with Hurricane just wandering around the building shouting at the walls that they were 'LIVE in Bridgeport!'

This will get added at the end of each post you make, below an horizontal line. This should preferably be kept to a small enough size.

I now have proof that Stacy & Miss Jackie will win their match at WMXX.

Take at look at the backstage segment the girls and Johnny Cage.

Jackie is fusing with Venom, of Spider-Man fame!

I believe Dish Network and Viacom couldn't reach an agreement, so now they ain't in business together anymore. Thus, no more Viacom stations on Dish Network.

I enjoyed the "This is your life" segment (that's really all there was on this show), despite the Rock's line-flubbing. Are there any old ladies associated with this company who aren't total horndogs?

-Kane interview- With a bunch of spookiness. We start with a casket in the middle of the ring(I wonder how the International Heat guys worked around that!). It's Latino Ring as it starts bouncing like a low rider, I get a feeling the ring is bumping more right now then the Taker will on WM hehe... The Undertaker lives! Too bad the crowd isn't. To be fair those spooky stuff in the past worked for me on the most part but it's because it was quick minute or two stuff but when it goes 10 minutes the mark out value diminishes .

-Jindrak/Cade/Resistance v. Booker/RVD/Dudleyz- The tag champs come out to mixed version of each theme... Not much of anything of note here, Booker got hit by behind from Dupree as Jindrak pins him in a rushed 4-minute match.

-Batista/Flair/Orton vs. Hurricane/Rosey- I hear Flair is injured so I guess it's logical for him to take ALL the bumps on the heel side from Hurricane. Batista tags in knocks Rosey off the apron and Hit's the OVW special Sit-down Powerbomb on Hurricane for the pin... They beat up on the Superheroes and give out a generic promo that Rock and Foley can't stop them.

-Benoit vs. Hardy- This could be good, remember the U.S title tournament when these to battled on Smackdown they had a great intense matc~ Matt taps out to the crossface, What the ? Oh yeah forget, that was the Matt Hardy V.1 not the new Marc Mero V.2 we see now. He did get a nice side-effect on Benoit and he still looks in good shape even if he's a diet cheat.

-Benoit/Michaels/HHH interview- Listening to this crowd the fear of the downside of a 2 face/1 heel 3-way match is in full view. The fans this week wasn't necessary behind either one. Initial Pop went to Shawn's favor, While talking it seemed like Benoit had a bit more favorable reaction then Shawn who got some boos. But it's slight and neither is overwhelming right now. They make a pact either way they will defeat HHH... Speaking of the devil out he comes. Talk about how he always beats the odds(like a great babyface! oh wait). He says Benoit & HBK ego won't allow eachother to beat him(duh) HHH is the most over guy in this match & the way it's booked HE SHOULD BE. Once again WWE books HHH's opponents to fail. You guys are still convinced THIS is the main event for Wrestlemania. This isn't even main eventing a Raw show. When was the last time either of these 3 finished a Raw show? Must be a month at least.

-Molly vs. Lita- Molly starts with a couple of hair tosses on Lita(Molly's got a new fetish) tears at Lita's mouth(Molly is vicious) and hits a chinlock. Lita hits her first move which was a sloppy, slow, scary looking headscissors (Jeeesh Lita). Well she did hit the twist of fate , it got a 2 count. Went for another version of it but Molly rolls her up and holds on the ropes for the 3 count... Molly goes and pulls Lita by the roots as Victoria runs in to make the save.

-Austin interview- Austin takes about 10 minutes to say he's going to go to Smackdown and get his ATV back... Oh yeah he also said he doesn't fear anyone in the Smackdown lockerroom and no one in the Raw lockerroom with no response, I guess he's right. I hate to say this because I was a supporter of the guy, but he's such a shell right now.

-Richards vs. Jericho- I thought Stevie was a face? Or maybe Jericho still a heel, who knows. What a beautiful standing enzuigiri from Jericho. Goes for the lionsault but Stevie moves as Jericho lands on his feet. Stevie goes for a DDT but Jericho reverse it to the Walls as we hear the giggles giggles from the start of Trish's music. Jericho gets distracted as Christian walks out Stevie cradles Jericho for the pin... Christian exits stage left as Jericho goes mid-evil on Stevie. Why is he so mad? He's been pretty much jobbing to everyone under the WWE roster recently. Is the funky ring effect for the opening segment not allowing anyone to wrestle over 3 minutes?

-Rock/Foley/Evolution interview- Rock comes out & says he wants to put a smile on Foley's face, introduces an elderly neighbor, she says Foley & the kids had pie & Rock acts idiotic & thinks she went Feinstein on the kids. Out comes Jimmy Snuka now who talks about something. Rock says he loved his promos back in the day even though he couldn't hardly understand a word he said(ha that's funny)... This old woman has a thing for everyone including Snuka as they both leave together(take her away please, she got more TV time then 90% of the Raw rosters that have matches at WM). Next up was a book/movie reviewer which actually was the highlight of this as he disses Foley 1st book & the fans. Also took a dig at The Rock's new movie calling it a "Walking piece of crap". They beat up the reviewer as Evolution runs in & beats up Rock/Foley. Rock takes a pretty good sitdown powerbomb from Batista to end the show.

-OtherStuff- Rock looked at a distance at his arch-enemy(I had no idea who it would be, I was guessing Austin) but it was the Hurricane. They become all friendly quickly as Hurricane gave his seal of approval to Walking Tall but Rosey got lost on the way back from the snackbar. Enter Coach who gets a kick of The Rock stealing his look(he does kinda have the Coach's look) Rock calls him a kiss ass and pushes him away...JR and King gets a pizza, strangest endorsement stunt ever that we didn't end up knowing what company is doing this...

Jericho chats with Trish who is just coming out of physical therapy at 9:30PM (Damn Canadian medi-care). Christian attacks Jericho from behind and disses Trish over Jericho own phone(now that's heel!). He takes off on a car with a mystery driver... Hey the new guy is interviewing the team of RVD & Booker. RVD points to self... Johnny Spade chats with Stacy and Gayda and he certainly not as cool as he was last week as Johnny Blaze(and people pick on Lillian for getting confused LoL).

-Line of the Night: REVIEWER "Walking Tall was a Walking pile of crap"... LAWLER "You think he works for one of those dirt sheets as well?"
-3Stars of the Night: 1)Lillian. 2)Flair. 3)Coach - That's a bit of a problem having these names shine before Wrestlemania. Lillian looked amazing tonight in her purple skirt and top WOW. I remember Flair bumped and Coach was smarmy backstage. No one else caught my eye.

I understand that this show will be low on wrestling and high on hype, problem for me the hype was horrible. When rating how bad a movie is I usually take into account how many times I check my watch, well on this 2-hour wrestling show I kept checking my watch as time seems to stand still. The crowd seemed to be sitting on their hands waiting for the Rock and even when the Rock came out the material wasn't that great. The Rock stuff would be okay if it wasn't the very last Raw segment before Wrestlemania.

smark/net attack wienerville advisory is lowered to BLUE alert - Guarded (Due to Eddie being WWE champ and facing Angle at WM, Benoit winning the Rumble in World title match in mania BUT Kliq members is still a threat - Vince you can save us from these threats) 2/17

I have Cox Cable, and I had that thing crawl up on my screen last night as well. Annoying as hell, since it didn't really pertain to me, yet there it was every half hour.

As far as RAW goes... funny stuff last night, but overall the card seemed weak, especially since this was the last week to hype up Wrestlemania. Besides the comedy stuff, I was very underwhelmed. Snuka was a pleasant surprise though, and that critic guy possibly got the biggest heel heat all night. Him = ratings. And what in the hell was the deal with the pizza? That was just so... bizarre. Speaking of which, the stuff with Kane at the beginning of the show was interesting. If Pete Rose had been in there, that would have been so perfect. The ring hydraulics were corny, but a match with those things being active would be interesting, while also extremely dangerous and awkward at the same time.

I think the thread about Raw being targeted to former & casual fans ( "RAW last night was to win back former fans" (The W)) is dead on. I've got to think that one of the main objectives for the night (& for the next SD too) is NOBODY GET HURT. Meanwhile, Rocky gets to bop around & play. I can live with that for the last week before the big PPV.

I haven't mentioned recently that Kane is still doing a marvelous job with this character & angle. Very nice angry trepidation. (He's good at this! All those years, hiding behind that mask. Tsk.) I liked the moving ring effect, but have to admit that the first thing I thought of was "Who hired Eddie's lowrider mechanic to rig the ring?" But how often do we see somebody surfing the middle of the ring? There was a moment there where it seemed like something went wrong -- either the hydraulics weren't working right at first, or there was supposed to be another effect that didn't fire, or somebody in the back just messed up the timing a bit. It was a good segment though.

Bubba. Shorts? Self-tanner. Be there.

Jericho / Christian solidifying their plotline -- cool.

Lawler's pizza was really weird. There definitely was no sponsor affiliation, & the only food sponsor mentioned on the WM webpage is Subway. Maybe they're mad at Subway, & this was a subtle suggestion to have pizza instead. Odd.

Hey, that's not just some whiney bitch. That's Tucson's own Todd Grisham (wwe.com)! He's your new Michael Cole. (C'mon, it wasn't bad for a guy who's been there less than 2 months.) :-)

Rosey got lost in the theater. Tee-hee. (Granted, Hurricane's sidekick is a silly gimmick, but he is funny at it.)

Batista got to do most of the work -- it pays to hang with the big dogs. Did Orton even get tagged in during the match, or was he just helping with the beating? (He had some kind of a virus thing, didn't he? Hope that's all OK.)

I certainly thought to myself, "Randy certainly is enjoying himself out there tonight, isn't he?" Woo-hoo. :-)

OK, we've got HBK & Benoit in the ring, HHH has done his thing, HBK shakes Benoit's hand, then just as Benoit is moistening his lips, HBK yanks him in close. That was pretty close to slipping a little tongue in there. (I am not making this up.)

Poor Steve had to walk all the way to the ring. Awww. I wonder what criteria he uses to decide whether to wear his knee braces or not. Can't say exactly why, but this didn't seem like very good Austin.

Stevie & Jericho was short (as were all the matches) but was really pretty decent stuff. That Victoria has done wonders for Stevie!

Now, SHG -- y'gotta check in on the weekend shows. Johnny Hennigan/Blaze/Spade had a match on Velocity (thecubsfan.com) (Roster hopping -- go figure.) with Capotelli against WGTT, just a couple of weeks ago. He was intro'd as John Hennigan, but was wearing trunks with "Blaze" written on the back. He did fine -- has some nice moves.

Why was Bischoff congratulating Johnny NameOfTheWeek for managing to talk to the girls?

Having Snuka out was cool. They've had much worse extras than Mrs Snyder & the critic. Rocky & Mick were having tons of fun. It was fine.

correct me if I'm wrong( which I probably am)but, didn't the urn get melted down (by Papa Shango?) and end up as a gold chain? (sported by godfather???)I seem to recall this happening, but the facts are fuzzy, if not totally off base.

match of the night: Benoit/Mattitude
match of the night runner up: Molly/Lita

predicted next feud: Rico vs Spade over who gets to manage Stacy and Miss Jackie via stipulation revolving around who is most and/or truly flamboyant.

wrestler this show needs back most: Ivory

no cable box (direct to tv) = no WM20 for me, and I don't think anyone around is getting it either. I'll get the dvd when it comes out, hopefully I'll see it before that though.

What stations are with Viacom? I heard someone at school list off Comedy Central, Nickaloden, Starz, and a couple others. As long as Spike and UPN aren't on the list of channels that might get cut, I'm not terribly worried.

I believe Viacom includes, yes, Spike TV and UPN, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, MTV, and I think CMT.

It's apparently done now due to them not being able to reach an agreement to extend their current one.

And I believe that Paul Bearer brought "The Urn" back from being a chain at Summerslam or something, when it returned as a giant gold flashlight.

OK, I'll go fast with this...First, I did see the warning about the Viacom stations getting knocked out of Dish Network. I don't have to worry, I have Directv, and good thing. I can watch the NCAA tournament on my 2 off days next Thursday and Friday.

1) Kane/Coffin -> This brought me back to the 2-3 straight weeks of WCW starting off Nitro with a coffin in the ring. Ugh. My dad said that Kane + blue light = Blue Man Group. Ho hum. The coffin got the worst of it.

2) 8 man tag -> typical "get the teams to tag up a few days before the PPV" match. Yes, Raw is coming to my home area. Something big is going to happen that night, as it always does in Chi-town. Of course, the bickering begins on the WINNING TEAM'S side after the match.

3) Evolution vs. Rosie/Hurricane -> too short.

4) Benoit/Hardy -> did not see the match, busy getting my supper. Talk about one who was dropped at the ranks, look at Matt Hardy.

5) Benoit/HBK/HHH -> boring, surprised that there was no punches thrown by any of them.

6) Molly/Lita -> another short match. I know I will have my predictions later in the week, but I hope Molly wins. Good point by the one who talked about the wig and boxing headgear. I have one name...Buddy Roberts in WCCW early 1980's. I still remember that.

7) Austin interview -> ugh, we get to see him twice this week (3 times if you are ordering the PPV...I won't but while I'm setting up my NCAA chart, I will look into the PBP of WMXX). He wants his ATV back, oh boy.

8) Richards/Jericho -> wow, good blow by the trainer's table to Jericho's head. Blah, blah, whoa...Richards wins on Raw, and he doesn't even get a slot on the PPV?

9) This is your life -> it was funny, but not as funny as the first one. Snuka had the look of "You flew me here for this?" Of course, Evolution comes in and stands tall, which is pretty much the norm the last few weeks.

Other thoughts...

Rock/Hurricane/Rosie/Coach -> funny. Hilarious about Rosie being lost in the theater. I know I'm in the minority about this, but I'm tired of the heel Coach. Pre-heel, I thought maybe in a couple of years, JR would step aside and Coach would do Raw broadcasting full-time. Now, I don't know if JR is ever going to leave. Back to the situation, Coach only gets a cameo for 1 minute and gets pushed out.

Stacy/Jackie/Johnny Whatever-your-name-is this week. Ho-hum, we'll see about the reply on Thursday.

Speaking of Thursday, I'll be back this weekend for Smackdown and my predictions on WMXX.
