STATEMENT FROM MR. MCMAHON Earlier tonight, Paul Heyman - the former General Manager of SmackDown! - was drafted by RAW and subsequently quit. Therefore, due to the absence of a GM on SmackDown!, I have extended the trading deadline to 9 p.m. ET Tuesday, at which time a new GM of SmackDown! will be announced, and that new GM of SmackDown! will in fact announce all trades. Thank you.

Excellent show that had some solid drama. From the draft picks to the will HHH steal Eddie's title drama is was suspensful. Draft, i thought, was well handled! Moved RVD, HHH & Edge who can jump right in. And sets the stage for futre stars Jindrak, Dupree, Benjamin & haas.
Hmm...intresting...although i feel Smackdown has a better line up on paper so far. Heyman on RAW...that will be intresting...return of ECW or WCW(RAW vs Smackdown)???...maybe...
Please, God, let Triple H not be traded back. Let him be gone from Raw forever. Let him never have the opportunity to screw Chris Jericho over again. I beg you.
If the WWF decided to use a Super Mario Brothers gimmick...
"Mah gawd, King! Garrison Cade just bounced a fireball toward Rene Dupree!" "And look, Mark Jindrak just jumped on top of Conway's head! I think he's out cold, JR!" "What're they up to now..where did that huge pipe come from?!" "They're going down in the pipe! They're..they're gone!" --Mike Sweetser
"Oh my god, JR. Cade just shrunk after he was hit by that chair!" "Here comes RVD, King. What's that he has in that bag?" "Are those Mushrooms, JR?" "Cade's eating the Mushrooms. BAH GAWD, KING! Cade just grew twice his size!" --Mr. Tuesday
I thought Bischoff/Heyman's verbal sparring was awesome all night....I assume Bischoff was the face, but I think the crowd was kind of hesitant toward cheering him....Dupree being picked makes sense. He's the next "Blue-Chipper" (supposedly), and there are still two guys left to run La Resistance....The loss to Jericho I don't get tho....Benjamin, another pick that makes sense. Now both guys can try their hand at singles competition. As much as I liked them as a team, they have a lot of promise as singles wrestlers....
After the second match, I sensed wrestling wasn't going to be a big part of this show....Jindrak to Smackdown! gets an "eh" from me. They already have O'Haire, who IMO is better than Jindrak, and are doing nothing with him. But I think WWE is higher on Jindrak than O'Haire....I guess the Nidia drafting makes sense, what with the women's title on RAW....Hunter to Smackdown was a surprise, but the smark in me says "not really a surprise"....Christian v.s Spike was another throw-away match....You should've heard the reaction of the people I was watching RAW with when they announced Eddy/Trips for tonight. Lots of swearing, I'll say that....Rhyno was an okay pick, he wasn't doing much on Smackdown....
Good tag title match....Again, another sensible pick with RVD to Smackdown....Nothing much to the Benoit/Rhyno match....Uh-oh, Michaels wrestling for the title in Canada? Something smells here....The last few picks were just throwaways, except of course for Teddy Long (who is he gonna manage now?) and Heyman. I'm really not looking forward to ECW returning, but it looks more and more like it's gonna happen....Didn't see much of the title match, as the draft provided for some interesting arguments amongst the couch potatoes tonight. Always like to see the locker rooms empty though, for a fun visual.

Maybe that's WWE's plan...hook the former WCW tag champs back up again.
So with Ron Simmons fired and Shelton Benjamin now on Raw, are there are black guys on Smackdown's roster for Teddy Long to manage? Since otherwise, his move seems kinda pointless.
Well, a good show, with a twist that easily sets up The Return of The Rogue Promotion (ECW Invades! v2.0).
Even money (or worse) says that the Screech Owl, my namesake, ends up as Smackdown! GM in Heyman's stead. When she combines with her chubby HHHubby, I can concentrate on RAW and catch a recap of Smackdown! instead.

Only guy left is Orlando Jordan. Unless, Teddy can pull a Slick and convince a white wrestler that they are really black. I'd pick A-Train for that, as he looks the closest to One Man Gang.
Why is TVLand stealing my ideas from DEAN's Workrate Report's? They had to be stealing, as I thought I had the only demented mind that could put Bea Arthur and Abe Vigoda in a sex scene.
I was really unimpressed with the show ... I guess it wasn't all that terrible, but I had built up the incredible hype in my head, and it fell flat ...
I just hate that Haas & Benjamin and Cade & Jindrak were split up ... those were, IMO, the two best teams on the roster, ring-wise ...
My first thought on Heyman quitting was "I wonder if we'll find out that Bischoff traded Heyman back to Smackdown for the use of Triple H in the Backlash PPV for the supposed ladder match." I suppose with the late wwe.com notice, that could still happen...
I'm glad they limited the number of people being drafted, even though it seemingly turned into one big non-event.
There was no way the main was ending in anything but a schmoz. They're not going to blow a clean finish with these two on a "booked as an afterthought" television match. That's what Benoit and Rhyno are for.
Poor Rhyno.
The newly abandoned Jazz gets the line of the night at Teddy Long..."You didn't make me any money anyway!" Say! Teddy has GM experience. I'm just saying, since he's over there and all...Actually that would be a cool Smackdown this week. Teddy could run the show, cause havoc, only to find out he's not the GM at the end of the night...
The real question on everybody's mind...WHO GETS CUSTODY OF ZE POODLE?
Actually, Theodore Long as GM wouldn't be a bad idea. (I seem to remember he did a pretty good job as GM for a night courtesy of Mark Henry's Team Bischoff favor.) Certainly a better idea than Stephanie the Screeching Valkyrie, since storyline-wise it doesn't make sense for Vince to hire her back.

I can only imagine what (in-character) RVD was thinking when HHH's name was called to go to SMACKDOWN! He must have been pointing at himself a lot and whatever he does. Then, he finds out that he gets to join his buddy on the other show!
Interesting RAW. I like how they recombined the rosters again for one night. Maybe it's because they have two interesting babyface champions on top after a great PPV, but I think I'm finally starting to like the brand split. It took a while, but they're finally there.
What they need to do now is maintain that balance and not make SMACKDOWN! the "shit brand."

Exactly when has that ever stopped Vince from putting his family back on screen? Anyways, I wouldn't mind ole Teddy running Smackdown. This was all pretty good. I can't wait to see what happens after they name a new GM.

Didn't HHH once call it the "JV" show?

WWE Champion: Eddie Guerrero World Heavywieght Champion: Chris Benoit Both of them won at Wrestlemaina. PRICELESS!!
Well, the trading window is still open, so Teddy Long might make sense, they might move Mark Henry over to Smackdown if needed. Smackdown might need another midcard heel anyways. Or, they could make Long the GM (as stated previously)
Interesting, Rhyno goes from getting sqashed in a US title match on Smackdown with Cena to getting a World Title shot (and not doing half-bad really) I was so cringing when HHH was gearing up for the Pedigree... Hopefully, the HBK and HHH is "over" because HBK did ruin it for HHH tonight. Then, Christian came in to give Eddie the DQ win, which didn't make that much sense.
