Eventually, they've got to have a "win or lose, this will be my last match" angle with Undertaker, right? Lesnar would get him to 23-0... maybe Undertaker's last match will be at WM32 in a win against Cena to finish 25-0.

Maybe the WWE use the footage of Taker challenging Lesnar before his UFC title loss, claiming now that he waited years for this rematch.

Might be an odd fit to connect the genial, bandana-wearing American Badass that has friendly chats with Ariel Helwani at well-attended public events with the mystical undead brother of destruction we saw on Monday night.

The Brock match will make him at 22-0. Can Taker make it 3 more years to get to 25-0? They REALLY need to get that Cena match in there, but now with Sting coming in to the fold, that's another possible future Mania match.

Sting was never exactly known for being Ricky Steamboat in the worker department and will be 56 by next year's Mania and Taker will be 50. I'm really not sure why people keep anticipating this match. It couldn't possibly meet the standard of recent years.

Lance Storm did some fantasy booking a while ago on his website for how he'd handle the streak. His suggestion was that at some point Undertaker would give an interview saying that that streak was now his career, and the day he lost the streak would be the day he retired. That would up the stakes by guaranteeing that the streak wouldn't last forever, and that every Wrestlemania might be the Undertaker's last match. At the same time, both the sense of inevitability that the streak would eventually end and the cheers and "Thank you Taker" chants that would follow his loss after the initial stunned silence would help mitigate what might otherwise be damaging backlash against whoever did break it.

It'd definitely serve to add some drama to the streak matches again, because really, does anyone right now think that Lesnar actually has a chance of winning this year?

I'll believe Sting is coming to WWE when I see it.

I haven't believed anyone has had a chance of winning in years but almost every year without fail Taker manages to have me believing it might happen as soon as the match gets going. Even last year with Punk, which is the most sure I'd been of Taker winning since before the Michaels series.

My suspicion was that Cena/Taker would be a two-matches-over-two-years affair, with part 1 coming in Dallas, Texas & part 2 coming at WM-34, at which point Taker would be at a nice and neat 25-0, giving you that doubt that Cena *really* could do it this time. that to the fact that Cena would've already lost to Taker, adding some extra 'Cena will get his win back' doubt, then i'd add in a retirement stipulation for Taker & you'd have a recipe that would make the near-falls unbearable.

If WWE aren't insane, then Cena wouldn't take it, though I could see them trying to do a call back to WM-24 Flair/HBK, with Cena playing the Michaels role of unwilling deed-doer.

They could somehow book Taker into two matches at WM31 to bump the streak up by two wins in one year. Like, they could put him in the title match, he wins, then the MITB holder does a sneak attack and cashes in. Taker wins after a few minutes of panic and boom, you're up to 24-0. (UT can drop the belt a couple of weeks later on the UK trip.)

Nah, that just cheapens the streak IMO. Each match (especially as the years go on) is a major, major event, and having a 5 minute match contribute to the streak with no build-up just wouldn't feel right. Same thing when people were suggesting Taker gets some semi-squash matches for a couple of years to bump the numbers up while saving his body for the eventual Cena match.

Someone explain to me all the clamoring for Cena/Taker. I just don't get it. Why is that somehow the streak match that MUST happen?
I think it would be boring as hell.

It's a match hasn't been done since Cena was up-and-coming on Smackdown, and as the company's #1 guy, there's actual believability that Cena can win & end the streak, which adds big time drama. Taker only works top names for streak matches now, so it would seem like something would be missing if the company's top top guy wasn't one of them.

Personally, I'm hoping they do the match in the hopes that Cena wins, just to see everyone lose their minds (and because I'm a big Cena fan and don't really like Taker).

Punk or Bryan, PLACE YOUR BETS. A world title threeway precludes the Shield explosion for now, I suppose.

If Hogan adds D-Bry, he would need to be given some sort of authority. Hosts can't make matches, can they?

Christian has been on a tear, but I really want Cesaro in that spot, or are they just going to split another tag team and have him face Swagger which would probably be really good too.

Historical Precedent: Host the Rock had the power to restart Miz/Cena title match at WrestleMania 27. Making matches doesn't seem that much more of a stretch.

Given that Rock was all up in Cena's grill in the lead up to WrestleMania 27, and Miz had a stupid feud with Fandango, I would hope that Hogan gets involved in something. Undertaker/Brock doesn't need it and seems well on its way, so HHH/Bryan seems like a good direction to go in.

Maybe they can actually bring that stupid HHH vs Vince feud they wanted to do into fruition by having Hogan sway Vince into adding the "If Bryan wins, he gets a title shot" stip.

I'd switch it up & have Vince personally put Bryan in the title match, causing HHH to go postal on pop & forcing the COO to accept Bryan's challenge of a match at WM, on the proviso that if he wins, Bryan is out of the title match. Allows them to advertise the main event as a triple threat beforehand & gives HHH logical motivation to accept Bryan's challenge.

Here's a way to make everyone happy:

Triple H turns down Bryan's challenge. Hometown hero Punk comes out to challenge Hunter instead. If Punk beats him at Mania, Bryan's in the title match. Hunter accepts if Punk promises to retire if he loses. At Mania, Punk wins. Then Bryan wins. Then on RAW, Punk decks an 'ungrateful' Bryan and we get Punk/Bryan for the belt. Punk gets a new angle and a main-event push, the fans get a hot-hot title feud around champ Bryan, and Punk gets a big Mania spot and win.
