Heroic editing made the replay of Goldberg's segment one encounter with Paul Heyman and Rusev look way better than it originally happened live.
I was handing out candy and didn't pay much attention to this show (and still haven't seen Hell In Some Cell, which didn't help) but I distinctly remember dozing off during the cruiserweight six man, which shouldn't speak to the quality of Division Purple but there's probably a metaphor in there somewhere.
Tender closing moment shared between Rollins (new WWE policy: selling a PPV beatdown can only last until the final five minutes of the next night's RAW) and Reigns surely bodes well for the future of the company.
It'll sure be interesting to see how they book the RAW vs. Smackdown Survival Series matches. Good? NOT sure. But definitely INTERESTING.
That's all I got, but by God somebody needed to start this thread - oh SURE, start a thread as I type this sentence. Reply it is, then.
OH WAIT WHAT ABOUT BYRON SAXTON'S FOOTY PAJAMAS HA HA HA WHAT A DWEEB I HATE THAT GUY BECAUSE COMMENTARY TELLS ME SO
I feel like I was watching a re-run. Don't ask me why though. Nia destroying Bayley is all kinds of stupid. Raw doesn't have enough women let alone heels to take on Smackdown. Makes no sense. Reigns can't even get a face pop at WWE HQ.
So was the graphic incorrect or are the Survivor Series matches going to be four-on-four? When Strowman won the battle royal, the graphic labeled him "Final Team Raw Member" or something similar. Yet he's only the fourth name. None of the announcers, however, called him the final member or said anything about the team being complete. I'm guessing it was a production error; perhaps they originally had planned to announce the full team and rewrote it at the last moment but forgot about this small item. Dunno.
I also find myself not caring about the cruiserweights. Not sure what it is, but the fakeness of wrestling seems to be really exacerbated in my eyes during the cruiserweight matches. Just takes away from the aura of believability.
I was surprised they started with Goldberg after the PPV. The Lesnar bit was obviously not going to happen although I can see if you are there in the crowd you would get excited. Poor Russev.
Glad I'm not the only one not really enjoying Enzo and Cass. The same entrance to start is now boring. Enzo is full of energy but Cass just doing the pointing at himself, the sky and swinging his arms does nothing for me. At least when they are in the ring it is different each week, but this one really didn't work. Or maybe that is me being English and not getting all of it!
Who is Roman going to be facing now? Not sure who there is as a contender if they don't use Strowman. I'm not saying that would be good, as there is no chance that it would be, but who else is there?
Jericho must be enjoying himself at the moment, but I expect Owens is getting annoyed that Jerichos reactions are better.
They need to get some more cruiserweights involved as it is getting quite boring. They should turn it in to a Network weekly show rather than sticking them on Raw so they can do what they can and enjoy rather than having normal matches that people don't want to see. I certainly don't.
Something happened to me about six months ago that showed me just how much casual fans remember Goldberg. My roomates babysitter came to our house to drop off my roomies two year old. She brought her son with her who was about eight or nine years old.
