Hey, Raw happened last night. It wasn't memorable, which is probably why I'm starting this half a day later.

Paul Heyman called out Goldberg on behalf of Brock. Goldberg will be on the show next week. Eh.

Sasha teamed up with Roman, I assume to give the fans some reason to cheer for The Guy.

Cruiserweights got some good time.

Blah.

That opening segment was complete garbage. I saw Cageside Seats praising it for finally positioning Reigns as a pure face and Rusev as a pure heel, but that basically ignores any character motivation. Remember, Rusev is involved in a blood feud with Reigns because Reigns besmirched Rusev's wife's honor. For him to suddenly turn misogynistic makes zero sense. The Teddy Long special tag match that resulted from that made no sense either - why in god's name would Charlotte team up with a man who insulted her existence in the WWE?

Sasha is a terrible promo. There, I said it. Her cadence, delivery, enunciation, accent, everything is off. She also needs to understand that woman and women are two different words with different pronunciations. It drives me insane.

The rest of the show wasn't awful, though. Chris Jericho continues to eat up scenery whenever possible. KO and Jericho made up over last week's road bump, but I wonder if Jericho will continue to be rosy over being the one who continually takes the proverbial fall.

TJ Perkins' backstage promo was not bad! Was that a "TJP" chant during his match? Any time Drew Gulak is on my screen is a good time.

They gotta build Goldberg up after being away for 12 years. I think he has to be the guy to beat Strowman.

Nah, they just have to have him stand there and talk about how he beat Lesnar, then Heyman talks some more, and then he gets beaten by Lesnar at Survivor Series in another one-note Lesnar match.

Not a classic show but there were some memorable moments. Downside is they weren't positive.

Everything with Sasha, Charlotte, Rusev and Reigns was terrible. All of that just to try and make us like Reigns? Rusev came out of it looking weak and getting beaten up by 2 women who suddenly decided to work together for a few minutes despite the fact they hate each other and are going to have a HIAC match.

Which is another thing. Do people really want to see a female HIAC? I certainly don't and am worried that Sasha is going to come out of it in a bad way, much like she is in a normal match lately.

Which leads to 3 HIAC matches? Really? They have to let someone bleed in one of these matches or it becomes even more pointless. Not saying I necessarily want everyone blading for fun, but you can't have 3 of those matches without it. Promoting one match and hyping up the violent nature with not much of it happening is one thing, but 3 and one of those a womens match?

I thought Jericho and Rollins looked quite stiff in places with some heavy blows landed. Jericho is on fire at the moment and I was hoping he would win as it would have added to the title match, but you can't keep having 3 ways so can see why they didn't. Doesn't leave Jericho with a match for HIAC though.

Lesnar v Goldberg? No thank you. I can see that it will get a lot of attention but if they had a match 12 years ago that was terrible, how are they going to have a good one here? Goldberg could have come back against Strowman or someone like that and come out of it looking good but there is little to gain here. People will like seeing Bill next week so he needs a good promo and make it look like he is still Goldberg rather than Hall Of Fame-worthy Goldberg.

Cruisers were fun for their matches and seem to be getting peoples attention. It's good they are getting faces and heels.

I apologise for typing so much - it wasn't my intention.

If Jericho cuts a promo about how he's confronted both of them backstage and emerged unscathed, thus is the only logical choice for a special referee, then I'll personally shell out the $9.99 to watch the show.

It's hard to believe that Kevin Owens is the champion and I am passing on shows regularly for the first time in a very very long time and yet this is where we are.

It is weird that back in Attitude Era, the main event was the best part of the show and we would sit through quite a bit to get to it. Now, its not worth our time. We are getting the champions, we want and can't be bothered. I don't want to hear its football season, because all the MNF have sucked.

Having Lesnar/Goldberg in Toronto is an interesting choice.

And Vince is kind of an evil genius:

"See? We gave them Owens and Styles as champs and they STILL don't watch and bitch about the product! I always know what is best!!"

Kevin Kelly: "Mr. Austin, would you like to comment on Wade Keller's Take that endorsing the XFL hurts your anti-authority character?"

Steve Austin: "Oh shit, he actually said that? I thought the boys in the back were ribbing me!"

Kelly: "No, he really said that. Did they tell you the part about you sitting in the stands, looking all skeptical?"

Austin: "AHAHAHAHAHAHA. Yeah... oh man that was too much."

Unless they work out some financial deal with the wildlife people (throw them a couple of million for use of the logo on old material, and maybe do a kickback of throwing one of their ads in a can't skip portion of the DVD), its a permanent ban.
