Hopefully Cole gets a well deserved vacation for a few weeks.

Raw got its first "How You Doin'?" chant.

Neville lost his first name but gained a (Mighty Mouse?) cape

LU! CHA! LU! CHA! LU! CHA!

The post-Mania crowd now feels like a crowd of what was once called ECW mutants.

The night started out pretty good, the first hour was solid. Brock and Heyman came out and said that while they could try and sue the WWE over the crazy ending to Mania last night, Lesnar prefers to just beat the hell out of Rollins once he gets back from his New York flight. Then we got another great Bryan vs Ziggler match, which ended with Bryan finally getting his pins back from last week. Afterwards we saw the return of Shaemus. And I gotta agree with the crowd.

"You look stupid."

Seriously, a mohawk with little beard-braids? Who in the hell came up with his new look, the Red Rooster? And apparently he's a heel again, and interjecting himself into the Intercontinental title hunt.

I knew as soon as the entrances for the 'match' started around the end of the first hour that there was no way in hell this match was actually going to happen. If Lesnar was actually going to wrestle on RAW for the first time in 10 years, for the World Title, you damn well know it was going to be the main event of the evening. Instead Rollins ducks the match and Lesnar murders the announce team. The sweet sounds of JBL not talking were blissful. I just wish Lesnar had F5'ed that brain-dead bully of an announcer instead of Maggle.

Apparently after last night's main event, Brock is a face now and Roman is solidly a heel, as far as the crowd is concerned. They might not be booked that way (yet), but it's like trying to ignore the fact that the crowd hates Cena.

Speaking of, whoo boy did he get a ton of hate from the crowd tonight. This wasn't a 50/50 split, this was about 85% against Cena and 100% behind Ambrose. So of course, LOLCENAWINS.

What else ... I liked the new call-ups from NXT, Neville was freaking great (thanks for coming, Axel ...) and the Lucha Dragons were massively over with the crowd. The question is whether they're going to go the same way of their tag team partners, New Day, who were getting a solid "New Day sucks" chant. I hope not, as I love lucha-style wrestling, but we've all seen how bad the company's booking team is at managing new talent.

The main event was pretty crappy, the only notable parts of the show being:
a) the fans still hate Roman
b) the fans remember how to do the Wave
c) the crowd chanting that they themselves are awesome.
Also, I recognized one of the signs that was also at Mania: "Roman is a wank pheasant." Not sure why they want to compare him to a bird, maybe they misspelled 'peasant'? And then just brought the misspelled sign with them to RAW the next night?

My interest was high early in the night, but it quickly fell as things went on and Brock was suspended. Looks like we'll be seeing him in another 3-4 months, whenever he feels like working again. Summerslam maybe. Yet another pointless six-man tag didn't help things either.

Lesnar destroying everyone was such an awesome moment and I'm glad he and Heyman are staying together though with Brock gone indefinitely, which probably is until Summerslam we won't see Heyman for a while. Ambrose vs a Cena was really good except for Cena's loose as fuck STF. I didn't love Cena popping up like superman after taking some big moves to just shrug it off and hit the attitude adjustment. Dean is just a jtts at this stage sadly. The main event stunk to high heaven, but at least the crowd was all over Reigns and Big Show with the suplexcity and please retire chants. Too bad Brock is going away for a few months because he is the best part of the show when on and one of the most believable bad asses in wrestling history. All in all, not a bad show, but the main event was a let down with all those hosses in the main event spot.

I have to say, the most entertaining part of Ambrose vs Cena was, to me, Ambrose wriggling out of Cena's shitty-ass STF then showing Cena how to PROPERLY perform the move. It's really something when the guy who's 'copying' your finishing maneuver is doing it better than you are. Really, in the more than a decade that Cena's been doing this, has nobody EVER told him his STF looks like ass?

And yes, Dean is a glorified JTTS. He keeps getting big matches, but loses them over and over. The fans still love him, but are starting to expect him to lose. A couple of big wins would turn things around for him nicely, but the heels have to have SOMEBODY to go over (Cena included, apparently).

All the air went out of the balloon when Rollins and Orton set up their Show/Kane/Reigns main event. Rusev's tank turned into a pumpkin and we were warped back to reality. Reality isn't good.

The ceasefire is over, Roman. You suck again. Good gracious, did Big Show win the battle royal so he could put over Reigns in some kind of stairs match at Axetreme Rules while Rollins defends against Orton?

Max respect for their making an exception in the main to love Ryback. We wouldn't be in this position if the Ryback Road To Royal Rumble Redemption story had been told since November. FEED ME BROCK FEED ME BROCK FEED ME BROCK FEED ME BROCK

Lesnar's segment was an all-timer. It'd be fun to think that the death of Cole ties into the Jim Ross rumors, but I'm resigned to the announcing on Raw sucking no matter what and no matter who. As we saw with Saxton's awfulness on this evening. To be fair he was evidently traumatized but what transpired.

Ziggler and Bryan should've had their singles match at Wrestlemania. And Evil Dystopian Sheamus should've attacked Bryan on the Raw after Mania last year. Ah, remember the Raw after Mania last year?

"Let's go divas" was kind of a sweet moment.

This is why I love going to the Raw after Mania. The crowd is crazy. They gave us a password for the Raw on Aug 2nd and the crowd chanted "We don't live here." They chanted "You suck Cena" and "You suck Bryan" to the Bellas. I liked that someone started a "CM Punk" chant at AJ then others booed and did a "AJ Lee" chant proper. Singing "John Cena sucks" even when his music wasn't playing. And during the main event chanting "Worse than Cena" to "We want Cena."

So who started that Wave silliness? And what on Earth is a 'wank pheasant'?

Are people seriously upset that Brock has been "suspended indefinitely". At least they came with a legit excuse for the schnozz to disappear for months this time.

#RawisNXT

Cole: "Yeah, thanks to Kane. You should buy Kane a Rolex watch for what he did for you."
Rollins: "Oh don't be silly, Kane doesn't wear watches."

A few hours after the fact, I sold Neville's debut short. Then again, so did quite a few people given that the commentary was still in "Brock Fallout" mode. But that's as solid a debut as anyone can ask for and it was the perfect crowd to debut him in front of.

I know this is normally the default position for anyone, but the prospect of a Neville/Bryan match at any time in the future literally has me drooling. Give them 15 minutes to just kick the ever-living shit out of each other. I don't have to have it in the next year, just...someday. Please.

See, I thought the match would have been the perfect way to start setting up a proper heel turn for Cena. Ambrose kept wiggling out of Cena's finishers and kept frustrating him. Keep this up against a few Ambrose-level dudes, let his frustration levels mount until he finally snaps and murderdeathkills a fan favorite to make sure he can beat a guy.

Of course, then that might flip the fanbase to 60/40 loathing at best.

Apart from the Cena match, which I could care less about (because after losing to Ambrose last year in the most overbooked, protected fashion I've ever seen, of course he needed to get his win back) & the underwhelming main event, this was a damn good episode of Raw. Everyone else watching seemed to be saying that this is pretty much exactly how they book NXT (not watched it I'm afraid, so can't comment much) Or at least it was for the for the first hour & a half, then it's almost as if Trips went for a shit or something & VKM took back control once Cena came out.

Also, anyone notice Roman getting thrown under a bus by that line from Cole (that surely was fed by VKM) during the Brock vs. Rollins fake-out?

''The thing is Brock Lesnar dominated most of that match last night, he looked like he was gonna put Roman Reings away, until Seth Rollins came out & decided to cash in''

Ouch! Belee Dat.

If the arm of that chair doesn't catch the table does Booker T ever Spinarooni again?

I like the fact that once an announce table is dislodged there is no way of pushing it back.

The best part of Saxton is that you can ignore him and enjoy the match if you choose, and I've always enjoyed motivated unhorny Lawler.

Cesaro should go to war against all things Lucha. Kalisto is going to be better than I thought. I'm really excited for him.

Poor, poor New Day.

waiting for the cops to finish their investigation.

I enjoyed Raw last night. Tine for Bellas to hate each other again. Brock was a monster - The guy who was the Cameraman really took the bumps well, hope he got a LOT of extra money for that. Cole is fun to watch get F5d

only thing better would have been to have good old JR come out of the crowd to take the reins
