Yes, I was talking about Jimmy Uso. They use their real names on Total Divas so they call him Jon. I guess that would be confusing if you don't watch Total Divas.

I'm fine with Paige losing also. Paige won in a fluke fashion over AJ and with Alicia performing well against her twice we're supposed to wonder if she's just a flash in the pan but at the PPV Paige will win and put that to rest. Like a lot of angles, this would probably work a lot better with some competent commentary.

In retrospect I guess jobbing Paige in England wasn't as bad as I felt originally, though if her family was in attendance I'm sure she'd have liked to've won. She at least put on a pretty good showing, it definitely wasn't a squash. As far as storyline buildup is concerned, a nontitle win here does make sense ... though yes, it would have helped if the commentators had made it clear it was non-title.

So ... are the Usos really named Uso? I don't watch Total Divas, I tuned in for about 30 seconds of random fanservice and decided I can watch anime and have a better plot with my jiggling.

They use their real first names but not their real last names. From Wiki:

Jimmy (real name Jonathan Solofa Fatu) and Jey (real name Joshua Samuel Fatu) are the sons of Solofa Fatu, better known as Rikishi, nephews of the late Umaga and The Tonga Kid, and are part of the Anoa'i family. As part of the family they are also the cousins of fellow WWE superstars Roman Reigns and The Rock, as well as the late Yokozuna.

So Jimmy is Jon and Jey is Josh and they look identical. No, that's not confusing at all.

Uso, I believe means Brother.

I think "Jimmy" is a nod to Superfly Jimmy Snukka, who they are kind of associated with, although not family. You probably know they are Rikishi's kids, nephews of Umaga, and their great uncles include the wild samoans and their cousins include Roman Reigns and Yokozuna. And the Rock is some sort of blood brother cousin too.

and they ARE twins, so Identical works

The Rock's grandfather and Roman Reigns'/Rikishi's/Etc's grandfather were blood brothers.

Not really at all connected, but am I the only one who didn't realize that Camacho is Haku's son?

Kinda amazing how most of the famous Samoans in pro wrestling are all part of a single wrestling clan ... I suppose Samoa Joe is the exception? He's the only Samoan wrestler I can think of besides the ones that've been listed.

Also, while I can see how looking identical could be used to sneaky advantage later on if they start acting more heelish, it did kinda help with one of them didn't have the full chest tattoo. Maybe they could get some kinda consistant color scheme going? One darks and one lights, or warms and cools, or something? :P

Sonny Siaki was also independent of the Anoa'i family, though he's retired now.

...and let's put those Samoan twins on a reality show with two Diva twins, who can only be identified by differing boob sizes.

At least they did go ahead and give one of them an upgrade ... I wonder how they decided which one was going to get the boobjob? Rock-paper-scissors?

They decided by having different personalities and identities and feelings and beliefs.

I wonder if the significant others' tastes might have played a role? It would seem really odd if Bryan were dating/married to the one with implants instead of Cena.

It's a sobering reminder of how time passes when you suddenly realize that one of Adams 'rose buds' happens to be a senior school crush. My 14 year old self is having heart palpitations right now.

('senior' means high school for the yanks here)

This Wyatt stuff surely has to end with Cena winning & thus 'saving' the brainwashed kids, right?

I can already picture the 'hallelujah' moment where the kids take off their masks and jump up for joy with Cena in the ring.

Oh you just know it's happening, folks

I see what you did there And I agree, their body types do match their significant others' ... kinda creepy when you think about it, but hey, what works for them.

The brainwashed kids we saw at the cage match, maybe, but they've seemed to have largely forgotten about that part of the angle. Maybe if they bring them back for Payback ... that might actually manage to get Cena a face pop, even if the fans would clearly rather see Wyatt win the feud and go on to bigger and better things. While Cena will probably win because Cena, Wyatt would also benefit more from a win here. Honestly, win or lose, Cena doesn't have much to do after this, unless Batista gets awarded the strap and Cena tries to win it back 'for Daniel.'

Assuming the belt stays on Bryan, a Bryan/Wyatt feud could tear down the house, and might actually get the crowd booing the Wyatts again. For the 3-on-1 beatdowns, anyway ... the actual blowoff match would probably be a 50/50 split up til and unless there's a screwjob finish, since they're both absolutely the crowd's darlings right now.
