Observer:

"The selfie gimmick by the announcers on Raw was Vince McMahon's personal outrage over Barack Obama taking a selfie during Nelson Mandela's funeral. Vince was a big Mandela supporter and is not a fan whatsoever of Obama."

I am sure Obama will be offended, oh wait...he won't care nor do I.

I think HHH would be all over any homage to that match he did between himself and HBK that main evented WrestleMania 20, and also the 20 times they wrestled each other leading up to it.

And yeah, WM20 I guess was a triple threat match, but nobody remembers the third guy.

Last night we watched the show as a family. The opening promo from Orton and Cena was well received, and my oldest daughter appreciated the Zack Ryder sighting. When the girls heard "Orton - Bryan Main Event", they immediately demanded to FFWD thru the rest of the show to watch it. We had short stops at the Santa skits (they loved them), and a moment to watch Nikki's face get caved in.

They watched that Main Event intently. Even the lovely Mrs. whatever was into it. Excellent job by both guys, as we all jumped with an "OHHH" at the knee bite. The kids were all set for the three count after the flying goat, and then there was a second "OOOOOOOOHHHHHHH" from all of us at the low-blow DQ. Even though we were all rooting for Bryan to win, it was a wonderful time watching everyone get into the match.

Additional fun - My youngest loves saying "Corporate Kane" and doing his mocking, 'yes, yes, yes'.

I was astonished at the heel reaction Shawn got. "You sold out" chants? In Texas, no less? I guess four years out of sight and out of mind is a long time.

Grantland's Masked Men talks up Orton (grantland.com) as the best thing going in the WWE right now.

I've been impressed with Randy hitting another gear in the last few weeks, but I'm not prepared to go as far as the writer here. I am, however, willing to suggest that working against Bryan has helped tremendously and not just in a "Flair/broomstick" sense.

For whatever reason he was picked to be Hunter's create-a-wrestler against Bryan and Cena, he has blossomed, and his mic work shows the most improvement (still suspect Heyman's work there). The tension with Hunter and Stephalso forces him to be more than a one-dimensional heel.

Might be right place/right time. But it works.

Having only one title now has to mean only one Money in the Bank briefcase. So this has to pay the way for the return of the MitB match at Wrestlemania.

I just wanted go emphasize what a great, great wrestling match - ending aside - Orton vs. Bryan this week on RAW was. Amazing stuff. Also, the selling by both guys was tremendous here (e.g. Orton:"Jesus!", "Oh my god!", "Get him off!"; Bryan screaming after Orton stomped on his arm/elbow).

Honestly, if he hates everybody here so much, why doesn't he fuck off? That's what I'd do if I thought you all were a bunch of whiny dirtbags. Maybe his Mommy didn't love him enough and he wants attention?
