Is it wrong that I want Orton and Stephanie to be involved in a "I used to hate you but now I sorta love you" faux-affair to cause friction in the faction?

This would make Orton.....wait for it; Kurt Angle. And hilariously, Orton used the Olympic Slam as a mid-match move for a bit.

After Raw:

Randy Orton, Triple H, Vince and Stephanie McMahon left the ring.

The Shield beat up Daniel Bryan until Mark Henry, The Big SHow and Dolph Ziggler made the save. They took out The Shield and the fans chanted YES for Bryan.

This version of Punk, who technically never actually turned face and is just the righteous asshole fighting against someone who deserves to have Punk's unbridled, obnoxious wrath turned on him is the best version of Punk and the best character they have.

Word. Punk's segments are like a syringe full of adrenaline that gets shot into my heart when I'm about to black out during RAW. I agree, this is the Best Punk.

Flair might be the only guy who could possibly love that Fat Guy bashing the most.

The best, to me, was the fat guy's cheese eating grin when he was lobbing boos back at Punk. That there is a fan that got his money's worth for that seat.

As for the Matadors, the first time one of them takes a spear, King will instantly say something noting that.

46 posts in a Raw thread by Tuesday morning, after a stretch where people would barely remember to start a thread.

I'd say this angle's working.

After Raw went off the air, The Shield tried to beat down Daniel Bryan some more, but Mark Henry, Big Show, and Dolph Ziggler made the save to help Bryan fight off The Shield.

The faces cleared the ring of the heels and performed their finishers, ending with Bryan delivering a knee to Rollins. No dark match to close the TV taping.

I liked the big moment of truth where Stephanie teased being upset about all the molesting but then ahh, we cool. What did Cole say, "he tormented that young lady"?

I think HHH did it because Bryan and Cena would've expected to be screwed by Maddox but had their guard down around Triple H, apparently no matter how conspicuously long he lingered creepily.

I expected him to be rude because he's Fandango but NO, he was so happy! That's how great the shoes are, plus anything that facilitates doncing is among the few things he doesn't turn his nose up at. I also enjoyed it when Vickie was desperate to eat a million Sonic hamburgers. Or when Teddy Long in his miserable pension-slaved life of GMing was so excited to enjoy but a single Sonic hamburger and then Big E ate it.

The only danger of that is that doing so brings Punk into Bryan's orbit a little too early

Yup, Punk needs sidedrained with the Heyman feud for another month or two until the cathartic moment for the fans where, oh shit, Punk is on our side in this too and (surprise) he's pissed. The formation of The Yes And Best Connection.

He probably figured that Maddox would do a quick count or something to let Cena win far too early, meaning that the champ would still be fresh for Orton, and in his mind Cena would be tougher to take out than Bryan.

Plus Maddox wouldn't exactly be able to deliver a hefty finisher to him as Orton came out.

Ignoring Rodney/Dean Ambrose hair comparisons, Ambrose is Joey Abs and Reigns is Pete Gas, in that he is the one who, surprisingly, will finish his career with the most titles to his credit.

Re: the New Union (or Newnion), Bryan as Foley, Big Show as Big Show, Henry as Shamrock (terrifying guy who is at his best yelling things at everyone) and Ziggler as Test (guy with terrible name who no one is ever willing to put over) does fit nicely.

The Corporation should add David Otunga as legal adviser/whipping boy & it would be complete.

So do we get Bryan/Big Show/Henry/Ziggler/??? vs. Orton/the Shield/??? at Survivor Series?

Ooh you guys have birthday cakes.

Sin Cara's injury was a ... dislocated finger. Conversely, his opponent was working with a dislocated face after he and McIntyre threw down with the marines who beat up Shawn. On the same show that Cena departed after wrestling a 30 minute match with a torn tricep. I admire Sin Cara's willingness, indeed his eagnerness, to not give a fuck.

This is the first RAW I have watched in I don't even know how many months. I even figured out a way to watch it live whereas I usually just clips on Youtube during the week after. Some notes:

- Great opening segment with DB and Stephanie. I keep on wanting DB to react more like past top babyfaces would have (Austin, Foley, Rock, Punk), but he's a different guy and I trust that this storyline will stay true to the character he's built so far.

- A bunch of matches I didn't really care about

- My first look at the PTP. Nice tag team, and that dance is hilarious (...for now?). How were these guys heel prior to TMZ?

- My first look at Fandango since the clips from the post-WM RAW. The bit with the shoes was funny, and he's a solid silly midcarder.

- My first ever Sin Cara match. I've heard so much about how this guy always gets injured, so I figured WWE was doing some more audience trolling here. Can't believe he didn't just call an audible and go for a quick finish. What a dud.

- CM Punk and Paul Heyman are fantastic at their jobs. Joe Hennig is not. And why Curtis instead of Curt? Who goes by Curtis these days? It's absurd.

- The final segment was a big downer, but in a good way because I'm very optimistic that it will pay-off. HHH is soooo much better as a hell than a babyface. I wish DB had been smarter about approaching the ring, maybe thrown a few of those running high knees at the Shield, but again I'm projecting other top faces onto him. IMO he is being portrayed as a guy who knows he's out of his league in confronting The Corporation, but he's still going to do it as best as he can and we're going to see him rise to the task.

They pretty much have to repackage Sin Cara as a comedy, injury-prone inept luchador now, don't they? Like, give him Santino's spot until Santino is back, then team him up with Santino (or, worse case scenario, Khali/Hornswoggle/Natalya, or worst worst case scenario, Ryder)? If not just to rib him but to shame him into quitting?

I didn't remember to mention it earlier, but whoever the indy guy is who Ryback is humiliating did a nice sad, quietly desperate read on that "...this is all I have..." line in the showers. Still, I was hoping Orton would show up at the end of that and quietly judge Ryback for having access to someone's gym bag and only filling it with water.

Also, "Curt Axel" sounds too close to "Kurt Angle" IMO. But I agree with ooudom that "Curtis Axel" is a horrible name. Why not "Axel Hennig" or something?
