Originally posted by Mr ShhFirst - we're not going to get a great match. Not a technically great match, anyway. It's going to be overbooked (in a good way) and will have some of the most tense near falls in any match in recent history. It will have the most heat of any match on the card.
Well, that's a great match. I think HHH/Lesnar will pull out more of all the stops though.
Fair enough, but man, the hypocrisy from some of Punk's more rabid fans is a bit shameless, Remember when WWE decided to let Punk and Heyman go out there and mock Lawler's heart attack for cheap heat just a few weeks after it had happened? What was the defense I was hearing? Sorry if I'm paraphrasing here, but I think it went something like this............
''HE DIDN'T ACTUALLY DIE OF THE HEART ATTACK SO IT'S OK, IF HE HAD THEN IT WOULD HAVE BEEN WRONG AND THEY WOULDN'T HAVE MOCKED A DEAD GUY WOULD THEY''
TAKA, like Kaz Hayashi, had no faith in WWE pushing the cruiserweights (and to be honest, who can blame him), so he took his ball and went home to Japan. To a certain extent, WWE is STILL not pushing the cruiserweights, so maybe he made the right move.
