The WWE has no freaking clue how to book a four way match. I hate that two guys on the floor with two guys in the ring until the finisher rush happens has become the way these matches play out. They just look stupid. These matches are supposed to be chaotic. Let them be.

Ric Flair embarrasses me. I always pictured old Ric Flair looking like Bobby Heenan or Freddie Blassie not the Berzerker.

"Zach Ryder complaining about not being on the WM card", I really do not like Zach Ryder but how buried is too buried?

Jack Swagger's America is even worse than we all imagined!

Did they book themselves into a corner and get too cute with Fandango, or is this the best way to get him out of a crappy gimmick that wasn't going to stick? I like the dancing girl and even the gimmick is fine, but they just pushed it until we are where we are now.

Cena, Rock and Helmsley all talked.

I wasn't a big Raw fan this week. At least we get Punk vs Taker, although I don't know how I feel about Taker's bathrobe as the garment of choice, but maybe it was just laundry day on the Dark Side.

Watched, for the first time in a long time, about the first 35 minutes. Lot of talking and a not terrible mtach between Feed me more and Antonio (who I have heard about but this is the first time I have seen him. He's itty bitty).

enjoyed mean Gene on the open.

Then I noticed it was time for Rules of engagement.

As someone else noted, I can see Undertaker doing the honors and this being his last match. And because it's "internet darling" Punk, I don't think fans would mind The Streak ending. Still, in my opinion that really only works if:

1. Punk wins and exits the ring in smug glory, leaving Undertaker dead-center (ha!) in the ring for The Druids to take his motionless body back to The Dark Side and thus, ending the Undertaker character for good.

2. As there really isn't much left for Punk the character or the person, he, too, goes on a lengthy winning streak, basking in his self-righteous glory. This goes on until another memetic character gets the best of him and he rides off into the sunset on a wave of IWC euphoria.

Not trying to fantasy book, but that's just hows I sees its.

This is all serious business.

Ok, so we all knew Punk was getting the Streak match anyway, but the drama in that main event was all sucked out after that Shield promo that addressed Sheamus, Orton, and Big Show. And seriously? Sheamus, Orton, and Show are going to get the Shield? Show is...an interesting choice, to say the least.

Punk/UT has the easiest setup in the world and it's nice to see that even Cole couldn't miss it. The 20-0 Streak vs. The Longest Title Reign of Our Generation. Boom. Sold.

I seriously cannot be bothered to care about Rock/Cena again. Especially when Cena's spiel boils down to "I know I said that last year, I absolutely HAD to win the match at all costs and I lost, but I'm SUPER SERIOUS this year! I HAVE to win!"

Ryback/Cesaro had a neat ending, but that match is getting REALLY played out. How many times is Ryback going to beat him?

There's nothing edgy about the New Age Outlaws when Road Dogg has to edit the word "ass" out of his intro. And it's nice to see that Billy Gunn has a future as a Hulk Hogan impersonator, brother!

I take back everything I said about Jack Swagger's gimmick having potential. Man, was I wrong about that one. This gimmick needs to die, ASAP.

So I'll double down on my own terrible ideas and say that they just might have something here with Fandango. It's basically a 21st century pretty boy gimmick. It has a puncher's chance.

Daniel Bryan going back to steal the $100 from Darren Young's mouth is, hands-down, the funniest thing I've seen this year.

Personally I felt the showdown between Cena and Rock was the highlight of the show. I thought Cena was excellent as unlike last year he was willing to play ball and didn't scoff at Rock's threats or cut the The Rock off at all. There was one point where it looked like he was gonna go for comedy but he contained himself and played it straight. The Rock was fine, but man do I miss The Rock of old when he was unrivaled on the mic he just isn't anywhere near what he was on the mic from 98-04. Surprised Barry Horowitz wasn't on old school Raw so he could beat jobbing Dolph Ziggler. Btw Dolph has zero chemistry with Big E or AJ. Big E might be the most ineffectual bodyguard in wrestling history. Sure seems like the crowd still doesn't give two shits about Swagger eh? Main Event was predictable in who won' but I'm surpris that the Shield didn't get involved. All in all, a below average Raw, IMO.

Yep, this was gold, and exactly what I wanted out of round 2. Serious match for the world title between two megastars with important stakes. No wristbands, perfect attendance, or #madlibsdisses.

OTOH, after all the hoops guys had to jump through to get a match with the Undertaker the last three years, it was weird to see them treat the Streak challenger spot about the same as "winning a a WWE title shot at No Mercy." Still, four weeks to heat it up with Punk and Heyman's mic work.

yeah all that stuff. One reason to take Ryback out, I guess, is if it's Cena vs. Ryback on top in the spring, you can give him a big win in a singles match.

Mark Henry: IRL Nicest Man shows up once more, saying fuck his character as the wig-splitting meanest man to wish Mae Young a happy birthday. What a swell dude.

So what does that leave for Ziggler? I mean after another tapout to Del Rio on Smackdown, obvsl. Well, Jericho comes back next week. Going one further than Ziggler/Jericho, I wonder if I could request Ziggler, Big E, and AJ vs. Jericho, the returning Christian, and WWE HOFer Trish Stratus in a Bizarre Love Triangles match.

Still awash are Daniel Bryan and Kane, who abruptly switched to their "we're on the same page!" cooperation. Which usually means they've got serious opponents coming up again, but not so sure about that since Mysterio might be done again with his perpetual knee injury (and another missed WM payoff, the poor son of a bitch). So you'd think the opponents most commensurate to their level at this point would be ... each other. Or, I dunno, the New Age Outlaws.

Also, Rock and Lance Armstrong certainly have nothing in common.

CM Punk tout girl. Sup. Her beauty may be slightly undermined by the fact that she is not real.

Undertaker tout girl was just a cool lady pumped as hell about the Undertaker.

I hope Fandango refuses to wrestle at Wrestlemania when Howard Finkel pronounces his name wrong, and they make his opponent, Zack Ryder, walk back down the giant rampway shaking his head with his disappointment.

I'm not sure this works as well since, y'know, Punk isn't still the champion. I really think he should've kept the belt through Mania to make it really special....20-0 vs. a 500-day title reign. As we'll see, Cena/Rock didn't need the title to make it special.

My dearest hope is that this is a replay of WM17. Cena snaps and turns heel due to his obsession with beating the Rock and getting the title back.

At this point I have serious doubts that Cena will ever turn heel.

Glad to see CM Punk taking on The Undertaker at WM29, though.

The only way to get a Cena heel turn over properly would be to have at least a handful of main event faces built around him that are about as over as Cena, if not his split crowd reactions will remain the same just with a demographic switch of support.

Just switch Punk to a face, get Bryan back in the singles, throw in Ryback and Jericho and that keeps a heel Cena from a tweener reaction ala heel "Hollywood" Rock during his Hogan feud a decade ago.

Think harder. Not much going on on this show, although I thought the Cena/Rock confrontation played out as well as it possibly could of, considering (as others on the board have previously mentioned) the story they want to tell in this match doesn't quite line up with the previous year of booking for Cena. This would be a much easier sell if Cena had actually been on a legit losing streak. And Shapiro, I absolutely think they're booking toward Kane vs. Daniel Bryan, and have been for the past couple weeks.

Boy, Taker/Punk is the only match to get excited about. They have got to stop feeding their secondary title guys to to other people for no reason. Swagger sucks and its time to add someone else to that match like Ryback or Henry. Having the MITB winner lose all the time is just stupid. Nothing they are doing now is booking for the future. Its more booking for the past.

Cena kinda was on the worst run of his main event career, results-wise, going into the Rumble. They just didn't book him like he was. He lost repeatedly to Punk, he lost to Ziggler in the main event of TLC, he jobbed to Johnny Ace. But he didn't seem to care then, so why should we care now?

His new tights apparently have a big red button on his ass that says "PUSH ME"...get it? Oh Zack...

Speaking of asses, Billy Gunn with longer hair looks like Randy The Ram. And in WWE 13, the "ass" is edited out of their intro music too...

I missed a few bits of RAW (not to watch a CBS sitcom), so I had no idea the Shield were even in this ep. It is weird for the Show to turn face for this feud, and The Ryback to not be involved anymore...

Nice "Roadblock" reference, Cena.

And "Super Shredder" was trending right after RAW ended, thanks to the Taker's coat. So it's the Punk-Nash feud all over again? :)

Punk's challenge makes me think he could end the streak when we know the streak won't end. That's why he's the best opponent right now. Also, he can talk up the mach for a month without breaking a sweat.

Rock and Cena did a fine job. Cena's implying his marriage fell apart because he lost was subtle and good. The flourish of "you think you can beat me; I know I can beat you" is gonna be hard to beat in their next segment.

#OldSchoolRAW was #NewSchoolBoring.

I can't believe there were several birthday cakes on television for Mae Young's birthday and NO ONE went into any of them. That's not old school.

I love Flair, but he was basically a Wooing, Strutting, Chopping, Drop an Elbow on Nothing, Flair Flopping robot version of himself.

Only part I really liked was Daniel Bryan stealing the $100 bill from Darren Young's mouth and stuffing it in his trunks.
