Ladies and gentlemen, the following public service message is brought to you by your friends from D-Generation X, who would like to remind each and every one of you that if you're not down with that, we've got two words for you...

Actually, the attacker having blonde hair means one of two things: 1) Eve actually THOUGHT AHEAD (startling for the sad state of this Divas division) and wore a wig when she jumped Kaitlyn; or 2) the suspects are few: Beth (too easy), Natalya (who they don't give a crap about), or (drum-roll) a returning heel-turned Kelly Kelly (which might actually be interesting). Either way it shows that they're at least TRYING to some degree with what they have (or I'm reading WAY too much into it, lol).

While the switch from Cena to RVD should alleviate some complaints, the inevitability of the belt's return to Cena (note where Summerslam is this year) and the poor initial showing by the new ECW are enough to keep the indicator where it is for now. The pieces are in place, though, especially on RAW, for improvements to be made to the IWC's psyche in the near future.

Even better if he had used "Glen" or "Issac".

I liked the RyBack "reveal" at the end and I dont read anything into the crowd silence. Almost sounded like the backstage scene wasnt shown to the audience in the arena for some reason. I'll have to watch again, but I'm pretty sure they didnt react to ANYTHING after the camera cut away from Cena slapping hands at ringside.

Big props to everyone in the ring and the announcers at ringside for totally no-selling the idiot who ran in the ring. No one even skipped a beat and they kept right on rolling as if nothing happened. Probably the smoothest "ignore this run-in moron" I've ever seen. Been awhile too.

I dont read the dirtsites anymore. Does anyone who DOES know if Paul is writing any TV at all or is he strictly on-air talent this time around? I wouldnt say the show seems Heyman-esque at all, but it does seem a little different to me over the last month or so. Anyone else catch that?

Cena and especially Foley tonight keep bringing up the fact that when Punk had nothing to lose or gain as he was on his way out, and that he was more passionate then than he is a year later as a complacent champion.Maybe I'm reading too much into this (it is bordering on fantasy booking) but I think his heel turn is adding layers to an overall theme of becoming legendary by your deeds rather than your words and learning to accept oneself. Much like how Cena had to stop looking at Rock as better than him and started looking at him as the enemy at Wrestle-mania, this is CM Punk's story of coming full circle since his return from walking out as champion a year ago.

I did suspect last week that this out of the blue (and on the face of it, seemingly unnecessary) heel turn was a way of getting Punk .properly. over as the #1 guy. Foley kind of sold that last night, talking about wanting the 'old CM Punk' back, how he doesn't need Paul Heyman, & how he needs to start earning respect rather than just talking about it.

Raw 1000 was the start of Punk's long journey towards earning .real. respect, and when he does, he'll turn back into a good guy again, presumably the moment when Punk 'sees the light' & takes out Paul Heyman. They could do it the other way around and have Heyman screw Punk, they seemed to be foreshadowing this with Mick's 'Heyman only does what's best for Heyman' line.

I wonder if this potential Ryback/CM Punk thing is a backdoor leading to Ryback and Lesnar at Survivor Series or the Royal Rumble? Heyman sees Ryback trying to get at the champ so he brings back his asskicking machine to take care of business. (Or something along those lines).

It's known that Vince is a big supporter of Ryback and pulled the trigger on this push himself, so a match against Lesnar might help legitimize the guy in the eyes of the fans.

People had been begging him to do that for ages, so he finally does and people are still complaining?

His serious voice is like Lawler's serious voice: It means what we watch 90% of the time is fake, but THIS is real. It's part of his shtick, and his schtick is old. I endorse new schtick.

I can't argue against Cena chasing the title. Even he says oncamera he gets to do it constantly because he's Cena. They've done very little in Punk's reign to develop a title contender (Ziggler's shot was at the Rumble), and Cena is the top face by miles. Last night's PG rant is no different than his playground insult trade with Rock: Old hat. New hat please.

But he has a new hat, the pink one. Oh, I see what you meant.
Didn't catch all of the show, but Punk old school heeling that kid in the aisle on the high five made was the greatest thing I have seen on Raw since...well, whatever the last cool thing Punk did.

These 3-hour shows can be pretty good when they put Punk and Heyman in every segment. All three of those interviews were outstanding, especially the Foley one. Dolph vs. Kofi was one of the best matches of the year too. I'm going to call this the first good 3-hour Raw.

Bryan/Kane segments: 1 yes, 2 no, 3 hell no. "My name is Gerald" was glorious though.

Seeing Team Hell No win felt incredibly rewarding, even if I was disappointed to see "No Chants In Hell" go un-nominated. (My other favorite, "Goatface Killah," was probably not going to contend.)

Also great was Kane nodding when the winning name was announced, saying "that's not bad."

It's a dream, an absolute dream. WWE is still trying to recover from the self-inflicted wounds they caused by not using Tom Feely's name for tag champs Rhodes & McIntyre, "Broken Mirrors."

Not sure what's in the cards for Punk/Ryback, but that was a legit surprising moment, and if Punk gets past Ryback as part of this historic title reign, that would be cool.

Punk ain't counting days so he can lose to the Ryback. 400 day champion vs. the legendary Rock is going to be promoted as one of the biggest title matches.

I thought AJ wasn't allowed to beat up the employees BUT it actually makes perfect sense that Heyman has just been hanging out with Punk as his friend, so I think she's in the clear.

I can buy a title loss if it happens due to Cena interference, giving heel Punk a reason to chase Cena. I also would accept this as the means by which Lawler gets the belt for one week to spike ratings.

Holy shit! Dr. Shelby is amazing. I don't like him either.

For the record, I'm pro-Punk vs. The Ryback. Mainly because when Punk turned and looked scared after gut-kicking Foley, I assumed he was looking at The Big Show. "Aw crap, it's the Big Show," I said to no one but myself. So I was legit pleased it was The Ryback, who has not being the Big Show very much going for him.

No way Brock agrees to face Ryback (Brock: "...who?"). Brock will face established ME guys in ME matches, not up-and-comers in midcard matches.

I totally missed Ryback to end the show ... but how was I to know that the show wasn't going to end when Punk slithered out of the ring? Isn't it usually get out of ring/ Cena point/ heel makes faces on the way up the ramp/ Cena raises hands and turns to the crowd while his music starts playing/WWE logo and last minute hype and we are into a USA special showing of crappy cop duo?

They've been conditioning me with this routine for years. How was I supossed to know not to change the channel yet?

The live crowd at Monday's WWE Raw in Albany, New York did not see the final backstage segment that closed the show. Dot Net Member Zim reports: "We just got a couple minute break and then the dark main started. The screen was black during the time you all saw the final clip."

I agree. This was the first 3-hour RAW where I actually cared about what was happening all the way through the show. Also, while I liked the Dolph/Kofi match, I actually feel like they could be capable of an even better match down the road, so I'd love to see a real feud set up between them.

The cool thing is, their matches in 2010 were kind of mediocre, their matches in 2011 were good, and this match was great. Practice makes perfect.

If you bought stock in 2009 in Ziggler, Kofi, Rhodes, DiBiase, Swagger, or McIntyre, you're either pretty rich or pretty poor today.

From Superstars right before Wrestlemania last spring -- Ziggler vs. Kofi, announcers say they've had 198 matches against each other and the score is 99-99:

They should just do a soft reboot of everyone on SmackDown some day and set it up so that:

-Dolph Ziggler becomes Dirk Hennig, son of the late Curt Hennig

-"Dashing" Cody Rhodes becomes "Dashing" Cody Cena, kid brother of John Cena

-Husky Harris becomes Husky Rhodes, younger son of The American Dream Dusty Rhodes

-Michael McGuillicutty becomes Edwin Shyster-Quatermain, son of IRS, who uses his fictional mother's maiden name to honor her and went into law instead of accounting. After every match, he delivers a "closing statement" that requires him to deliver an impromptu speech on live TV every week because that would be awesome.

-Jack Swagger becomes Jake Angle, adult stepson of Eric Angle

-Michael Tarver becomes "Million Dollar Mike" Michael DiBiase, son of Virgil but raised to believe he's the child of Ted DiBiase and Sweet Sapphire after being bought and raised by DiBiase because Ted was so disappointed with his own flesh and blood son.

    -Ted DiBiase Jr. becomes unemployed.

This is it exactly, but I'll admit that I had kind of forgotten about their earlier matches until Amos said something. The two of them have really come a long way in terms of their ringwork in just a short amount of time.
