Vader is the current Heavyweight Champ in Lawton, OK for Impact Zone Wrestling. I hadn't seen him in some time. He really has gained some weight! And yes I laughed when he fell over getting out of the ring.

Am I blind, or can anyone else not find WWE's UNLIMITED section on their website now?

I missed RAW, and after reading the results...I'm very glad I did.

Didn't they do the "adoring Trish fan" angle thing years ago with Tori?

I don;t mind seeing Goldust back...but wasn't he doing something in TNA? Oh wait...that was when his father was the booker, right?

Lawler in the BK mask was wierd for one major reason - back in "the day" when Lawler was working heel fans would chant "Burger King" at him as an insult.

I did actually enjoy the Foley video, but other than that, I'm just glad that I am out on Mondays and have to tape Raw instead of sitting through it.

Are we up to half a dozen times when Austin has taken his ball and gone home in the last 3 years? Considering he can't go in the ring or build up new stars, does it make any sense to keep bringing him back when the end result can pretty much be guessed? Of course, it would have been much better if they had done all the build-up for Austin/Hogan and then either Austin or Hogan did the last minute bail-out, but, that is still a possibility for springtime.
Considering Cena has held the belt for 7 months, what does it say that when he is in the ring with Michaels and Angle, he looks like the little kid wanting to be at the grown-ups table. He might have charisma, but he doesn't have gravitas.
I was hoping they'd have Dustin turn on Coach. His character works much better as comedic face. And, that was sad watching Big Van Vader morph into Large Sports Utility Vehicle Vader as he stumbled out of the ring.
Matt Hardy not being allowed to appear on RAW lasted almost as long as Foley's first retirement.
Snuka looks larger than Kamala. And, was I the only one waiting for Lawler to break out the piledriver?
Funny how the departure of Austin allowed for a reduction in McMahon appearances.

Wow, what a mess. I didn't watch the whole thing, but in hindsight, that's a good thing. Coach as Austin was good, until he caught his leg getting into the ring. Awful. I could forgive Goldust looking a little flabby around the middle, but Vader looks like he is going to give birth to an elephant any second now. Couldn't they have brought back someone who was in at least some kind of shape, besides round? And it was probably just me, but Vince seemed flustered by the whole Austin thing. He almost looked like he couldn't believe the words as they were coming out of his mouth. That whole thing was just weird.
I don't watch RAW that often. Now, I remember why. Bad, bad, bad.

You know, it is almost like McMahon decided to watch Nitro tapes and go on autopilot where any unpredictability is discouraged. With all the craziness of the current WWE, we still got a Raw that was so transparent in most of its matches. That was when Nitro was so hard to watch, and it's happening now with Raw.

Will Tajiri, Heartthrobs or Viscera get any real offense against PPV bound wrestlers? Nope. Will Angle interfere in a match? Yep.

Seriously, the only enjoyment to be taken from Raw was the Canada-like bizarro crowd (chanting "you tapped out" at Cena was a particularly funny Montreal-esque move), and the shuffling of the Coach-Austin feud.

And really, I was a fan of Austin. Even after all the stuff he got in trouble for, and his antics, I stood by him (at least as far as wanting to see his character on my TV).

For refusing to job and adhering to the storyline AGAIN, you know what? Fuck you Steve Austin. Stay away for good this time, you malcontent.

This was by far the weirdest episode of Raw I've ever seen. It's like someone said, "Okay, it's Halloween, so let's dress the show up like Nitro and see if anyone notices."

And I'll agree with what's been said before: fuck Steve Austin. The guy apparently never learned how to suck it up and take one for the team. It's not like people would have viewed him as "Steve Austin, the bitch that jobbed to Coach" for the rest of his life. But now he gets to be "Steve Austin, the bitch that takes his ball and goes home."

And a hearty fuck you to people bashing Austin or Christian. As if you would not kiss their ass in person. Good for THEM for standing up to what is turning out to be one insane "creative" team + Vince and Steph.

FWIW, Austin wasn't told his bit on Homecoming was the lead up to his good friend JR being fired, wasn't told Hogan was going to challenge him to a match, wasn't told JR really wasn't coming back, and wasn't told he was losing the match to Coach till just this weekend (evidently.) I think he might have suspected a pattern.

Yeah, I'm no fan of Austin, but I don't blame him in the least for bailing out this time.

They planned to waste his big return to PPV on Taboo Tuesday, and on top of that, have him job to the freakin' Coach? What the hell is wrong w/ WWE "creative"?

How is this different from The Rock's sporadic use on WWE programming to put over rising main eventers? No, Coach isn't a main-eventer, but he IS the new voice of RAW. Austin pounds on the McMahons, gets a PPV paycheck and takes a (presumably) cheat loss to the guy who replaced JR, ending that angle. He'll still go to Iraq this year, I'll bet. Vince hardly buried him last night when he had a prime chance to do so.

I marked out like hell when Goldust showed up. Gee, can you tell that Dusty is on the booking team? Doesn't matter. Goldust entertains me, and I'm glad to see him back.

Vader as Shockmaster 2005 was also funny as hell.

Beyond that... I fell asleep when they were setting up for the diva segment.

Rock made Brock Lesnar. Austin would be furthering a stupid angle that was lifted right from '02, when it was stupid as well. If Austin was misled, then good for him.

But...what if it was a verbal debate??

I had a bad taste in my mouth after watching Coach lift Funaki off the mat by his throat. That was *wrong*.

Just to add to the absurdity of it all...

When was the last time Funaki did the "Numbah One Announcah" gimmick? It's been a while hasn't it? Long way to go for such a quick gag.

And I might have missed it...did they explain why all these other Smackdown guys (Batista, Funaki) were at Raw? Were they just following Teddy Long around? It made sense for the guys on the TT ballot to be there, but otherwise it's just...odd.

But then I guess the whole show was odd.

This is the first time in the last three years (October 2002 to October 2005). But unlike the other two times he walked out in 2002, he didn't no-show the TV without warning. They told him the plans, and he told them he wasn't losing to Coach and he wasn't participating in an angle built around embarrassing J.R. if it wasn't supposed to lead to his coming back. And Vince won't budge on Jim Ross because by god he's gotta go, so they have no match.

My god, if Hulk Hogan can refuse to job for Shawn Michaels, I think Steve Austin can say he's not losing to the fucking Coach and his crew of fatties. The malcontent is the insane Vince McMahon.

Goldust as Coachdust was one of the highlights of the Booker/Goldust run of skits. He walks into the middle of an nWo interview and goes, "Well howdy there, NWO! Ah'm the Coach! Are these rumours true about that big announcement you gotta make tonight and [inhale] Gooold - ah mean, ah mean, Goldust is gonna be in the NWO?"

And that is why Gooooold - I mean, I mean Goldust needs to go to Smackdown after Taboo Tuesday to be Booker T's bodyguard, because the Benoit vs. Sharmell feud is the only good thing in the company right now.

Man what is wrong with some of you?? By saying F-you to Steve Austin is defending the craziness and stupidity of WWE. The whole thing was ABSURD, and I admire Steve for never backing down and kissing their ass. He was lied to, misinformed and going to be made a joke of. The real F-you goes to the McMahon's, and anybody siding with them.

Say what you will, and all the smarty comments of "how we can't go in the ring anymore". Give me a break! He can probably still outperform half of the roster, bad neck and all. He's still top notch on the mic and still brings in the fans. I know of at least 8 people who are NOT ordering the ppv because he won't be there. I'm sure there are hundreds more. It just amazes me that in one breathe, some of you are bashing the moronic state of RAW, and then another breathe defending it when someone like Austin takes a stand against it. Are you that simple minded? Apparently so seeing that you keep rehashing the phrase used by McMahon and HHH of "taking the ball and going home"... get a thought of your own for a change, and stop being brainwashed. Just stop!

And btw.. McMahon not "burying Austin when he had a perfect time to" would not have been in his best interest seeing that Austin is still involved with the movie deal and all.

Is there anybody alive that still thinks McMahon is a genius?? Anyone with an IQ of over 40 anyway? God I hope not.

From the reactions, here on the famous messageboard the-W, a night of sleep about 15 minutes in to Raw was a good trade last night instead of watching the show. I guess watching the VCR tape from last night won't be to bad after all.

McMahon just has no motivation to do anything more than he's doing right now. Think about it, the entire time he's owned the WWF/E, he's either been on top and trying to stay there (Hogan and Attitude eras) or has been fighting to get to the top (initial national expanstion, mid 90s vs WCW). Now he has no competition (hopefully TNA will step up, but they are not there yet) and seems to have found an audience resistent to any significant erosion no matter how bad things get. I guess he thinks he can afford to book for his own ego at this point. I'd love to see what a really competitive TNA would do for the WWE product.
