Great job of them using the Doomsday Device, even if they blew the spot.

I also found it amusing that the King would be on my side, and FINALLY give Molly some love for that fine rump of hers.

Okay, I was turing back and forth between the football game and RAW so could somebody please tell me, (since I only saw the last minute or so) was Kane talking about killing Katie Vick? I was lost on that one. Kanes mic skills are getting better every week.

I would LOVE to see Smackdown vs Raw matches in Survivor Series fasion. That would be sweet!

Thank God I wasn't the only one who caught the Kane abusing women line. I immediately thought, "Did he just admit to raping the young and innocent Ms. Vick?"

By the way, after Stacy started drinking, did anyone else think that they were actually going to have Ms. Keibler drink, pass out, and then use that for some kind of angle? I was worried about that, but thankfully they left well enough alone.

On topic, this was another great show, and I love how almost nobody knows where the Jericho/Trish/Christian/Lita love square is going. That means the writers are actually making it interesting, and everything isn't so predictable (at least not all the time anyways).

Molly, Stacy and Daffney all in WWE? I suddenly lost all my will to complain about anything regarding the WWE. Hope I don't lose my street cred for this.

Hey, instead of doing 1 move (dropkick), he now does 3 (dropkick, armdrag, his finisher). Congrats to Maven.

He's still green green green. Although, to be fair, nobody (outside of Cena) has really improved greatly. The good/great workers are still good/great, and the poorer workers are still poor workers.

That's why I said if it weren't for Cena.

And besides, one's wrestling move vocabulary doesn't make the wrestler alone. Did you see the way Maven sold Flair's offense? Do you notice how he knows the ring a lot better and how he's taken strides to make sure that his moves look cleaner in front of the camera? Do you notice how, since he's returned from his injury a while ago, he knows the ring A LOT better than he did and he's now in better physical condition than he's probably ever been in? Do you notice how much Maven's improved on the mic, whenever he's actually given time on the stick? How he can use facial expressions to get certain ideas across (such as his begrudging respect and disappointment after the Flair match)?

Just imagine if Maven was given a ball to run with. Don't you think he would contribute to RAW in a big way, especially if he was given a Cena-like push, and was given the opportunity to actually learn and use wrestling maneuvers that aren't deemed too risky for the vaunted 'WWE style?'

Ugh. Good grief.

He didn't actually admit it, but he absolutely did open the door to the possibility. Unclear whether they're going to explicitly tie that plotline back in or not. (Also unclear whether Ringmistress will hurl a heavy object through her TV if they do.)

It is quite a scary thought that they might make us all remember the worst storyline of the year. Actually, it might work because this reminds of his "brother" the Undertaker coming out after many years and admitting that he actually did start the fire that scarred Kane. That time it was done seemingly because Taker had turned heel and they were trying to give him more heat (hah, fire jokes slay me).

Then again, if Kane shows the same fire (ugh) in future promos like he did last night, I wouldn't mind hearing anything he would have to say. I guess all there is to say is that I hope they don't bring Daffney in as perhaps an alive Katie Vick to feud with Kane. Now that would cause me to throw something into the TV.

RAW was really good.

I really hate the whole Stacy thing. Abused women who sit by and allow their circumstances to dominate their lives are a tragic, and unfortunately very real part of society, and don't make good dramatic fodder. I can't see this being a ratings grabber. Plus, I don't understand how guys like Foley and Rock can put other wrestlers over themselves, yet Steve can't even do that when he's in an inactive role. He's done a lot for the company, and for wrestling, but right he pretty much sucks.

Rene Dupree could do that dance all day. For some reason, I find that little trot utterly hysterical and I now look for it each time I see them out there. Speaking of which, between the segments during the last month where Sylvan insisted that WWII was 200 years ago, and them surmising how many French poodles they could buy with HHH's bounty, La Res is getting more and more fun to watch. On the flip side, Bubba seemed genuinely emotional during the match, and the Doomsday Device was the perfect ending. RIP Hawk.

Jericho was great as usual. I loved the King Arthur line, and he seemed genuinely "giddy" around Trish, which would make the whole attempt at getting in the pants bit hilarious. RVD was stellar, and he may very well be the greatest IC champ ever, right JR? Ha, ha. Hey, give credit to JR for a funny line...."...with all due respect to the Honky Tonk Man..." That made me laugh. Anyway, BPP is far better as a heel, and what else can you say about Lance but awesome!! I mean, some purists think that he's acting the fool, but hey, this gimmick is allowing him to showcase himself and he is doing a hell of a job at it. I think it's a given that he'll be on Team Austin at SS, as he has credited Austin with his turnaround. I'd love to see him win it.

Did anyone catch what Booker was saying before he got cut off? He mentioned the road to the IC title. I'd love to see him, Christian, and RVD in a three-way. I'd rather see Victoria, Trish, Lita, and Molly in a four-way, though, but that's another thread.

Kudos for a tasteful tributed to Stu Hart as well.

What an awesome bit for Cade and Jindrak. It seems like everyone liked it, and the crowd ate it up. Was it me, or did it seem like Jindrak threw an awfully stiff left at Barry O's nephew?

I like Kane. For all of the crap he's had to put up with....from the Fake Diesel to the Isaac Yankem to the Katie Vick to the one-day title run....he deserves a killer monster run.

Line of the night, "He lost the money." And then he starts bragging about his match with Maven, but then reminds HHH again that Orton "lost the money." Ric is, without a doubt, still the man.

Batista is back with Evolution. Oh, well. They'd be better off with somebody else in his spot, but he's big and bad and, well.....oh, hell.....I hope he can just stay healthy.

He still has no character outside of "plucky TE winner". Yes, he's gotten better, but he's still very green, and needs to be carried by more experienced wrestlers. Witness the 2 Orton/Maven matches from a few months ago. The first was pretty energetic, but the 2nd was just brutal, w/ each guy looking completely lost in the ring. Giving him a huge push right now would be a mistake, IMO. I don't know how well he would fare in a match if he had to go on an extended period of controlling the flow. Sticking him in the ring w/ some of the newer guys like Batista or Orton is going to produce some pretty bad matches, and I'd be hesitant to feed him guys like Jericho or Booker.

Please tell me your talking about the current Ricky Steamboat, the one that has been retired for a decade with a busted back, not the Ricky Steamboat who was one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. Now, if you said it was the image of Vic Steamboat flashing in and out, it might be close.

Regarding the Maven/Cena improving newbies debate, Chris Nowinski was improving by leaps and bounds as an overall performer before having his head caved in. Not a moveset award-winner, but he was a stellar weasel who could talk, sell and preen.

BATISTA~!

After a quarter of a century on this planet, there's three things I know for sure...
1)I'm smarter than I was a year ago.
2)WWE isn't.
3) I'd make a fine Mrs. HHH II.

I'm still making an attempt to contact Poker Face. With God as my witness, I will interview this man. Then I'll post the interview here because it wouldn't really fit anywhere on my personal site and all wrestling sites suck. :)
