Well, this thread IS devoted to that episode of Raw. So, doesn't it seem like the perfect place for Raw reviews?
Originally posted by Battlezone I don't know who's at fault, but wouldn't it stand to reason that since Jericho was facing the EntertainmentTron, that he'd be able to see Orton setting up for the RKO, and then get in position to take the move?
You're right. Jericho did appear to be watching the big screen while he had Batista in the Walls. It also looked like Jericho looked down at Flair, who was flopping around right beside Jericho after getting hit by RVD's frog splash, at just the moment Orton slid in and missed the RKO. He was already in the perfect position to take it because he was in a crouch with the Walls on Batista. Also, Orton did whiff. Orton was grasping for Jericho's head/hair and he missed. It just looked like several things went wrong at the same time.
As for someone earlier who asked why Jericho didn't release the Walls on the 1st RKO attempt like he did on the 2nd, I don't think he meant to let go of the Walls on the 2nd attempt. It looked like he just couldn't hold Batista in that crouched position anymore and he let it go just before Orton hit the RKO.

I shudder to think what HHH or the like would have done in the face of a promo like that. Not good times.
I agree with you about Orton doing a great job during that promo, but, to be fair to HHH, he also did a great job when he was in that Orton position during the "frustrated Mankind morphs into Cactus Jack" storyline before Royal Rumble 2000.

That's cool and I see your point. Just skip over those reviews. Personally, I always like to read Net Hack Slasher's reviews, in particular. | ScreamingHeadGuy

Some people have a lot to say. Some people like to discuss every segment. Some people like to tick you off.
If people like to write a lot, that's fine by me. It just means I'll take longer to go through the thread.

ever see The Ring (American or Japanese)? judging by the vid, i'm positive WWE production did (not that i'm complaining). and did anyone else catch that quick shot of taker himself? disturbingly wicked.
yup. That's one of the reasons i Liked it so much. I'm still trying to get ahold of a copy of Ringu, see how it fares to the American version

I don't know what to say about the Foley promo that hasn't already been said. Incredible. If he became a regular on Raw, I would become a regular viewer. As a Dad of two little ones who cleans bodily fluids daily, I was marking out for that part of the speech. Hardcore Dads Unite!!!!!!!

That's why I only give my opinions on what happened, not go blow-by-blow. I figure there's enough people recapping on here, we don't need another one. Personally, I don't mind it, because I like reading opinions from all angles.

For the record, I love reading all the different recaps. IN fact, I wish more people would do them- everyone has a slightly different take on what happened, I like to see the show from everyone's point of view.
I am really digging crazy face Victoria. She gives me sort of a Batman-vibe. She focusing all her crazy energy on fighting the forces of evil, but her methods are a little skewed and you hope she never, ever changes her mind on what's good and what's bad. | darkmatcher

Here I was hoping for a decent little match between Rico and Rob, especially as they had several good matches in OVW. Instead it's all about Jackie and something completely non-related to wrestling.
My opinion exactly. Hey Vince, notice how its 2004, and that you've managed to even make blatant nudity a 'cutting edge' thing of yesteryear? Could you atleast leave it for times where people aren't, ya know, having a WRESTLING match, on a WRESTLING show?
I'm of the opinion that the fault of the blown RKO belongs to the, well, person that GAVE it. Sure, it doesn't hurt that I thrive at the opportunity to LOL at a display of Randy greeness(which I did!), but it looked to me like he missed Jericho by a mile. Simple as that.
Originally posted by Liz Jazz is such a good heel -- she hates everyone. "Come on, Molly, DO SOMETHING!"
Yep. Btw, I'm not digging Victoria as a face, but I suppose only one girl at a time should can have the "chick who hates everyone" role. That, or because Trish is in a storyline, and Lita sucks..they have to give another girl a run at top face.
The final promo would have been so much better without the spit. But good stuff. This and the INFINITY AWESOME Taker montage pretty much made the show.
