A bunch of Superstars we haven't seen in FOREVER are now apart of the Raw brand, but you guys are already talking about that in another thread.
What we aren't talking about is the most destructive backstage beatdown we've ever seen. Roman got strechered because of Braun's viscous attack. Then Braun wheeled that off a platform into the parking area. After they scraped Roman up and put him in an ambulance Braun returned to beat on Roman more and then he got so fired up he flipped the whole thing on it's side. Such brutality. He then went backstage and Tweeted about it. Roman has no friends so there was no one off to the side when they were reloading him concerned and no divas crying. This segment was awesome.
The real superstar shake-up was that brain rattling, presumably legit KO shot that Jinder Mahal gave to Finn Balor, is what I would say.
Like, he definitely knocked Balor out for a second with that forearm, right? Balor's head got rattled, his arms looked like they did the dreaded "fencing" response and he planted face first right into the mat, which I can't imagine anyone choosing as a way to sell a random forearm from Jinder. That landing was hard enough that he had marks from the mat on his face for the rest of the match, and definitely looked like he wasn't totally there.
Braun beating up Roman for, like, 20 minutes has an early lead on Segment of the Year, but two things I would have added: -after Braun tips over the ambulance, we see Roman on his gurney waiting as a second ambulance comes, but it takes away the tipped over ambulance and leaves Roman there alone -Braun is outside and tips over the entire arena, injuring many fans inside, who continue to chant "THANK YOU STROWMAN!" anyway because Roman is also in the arena being tipped over
Booking Braun like this after a few weeks of terrible, counterproductive "Braun inexplicably backs down from everyone important, does nothing at WrestleMania" booking is, perhaps, an overcorrection after realizing how terribly they were fumbling Braun, but if this means Braun's gimmick is "Guy Who Beats Up Roman Reigns At All Times In All Places", I am in for Braun Strowman: Most Popular Wrestler In Wrestling, which he will certainly be.
Alexa Bliss and The Miz are doing the same character, both very well. Imagine if they were paired instead of Maryse.
Nia Jax is just fine as Lady Vader.
I wonder if they're gonna try to win Reigns some babyface points by having him save someone from a Strowman beatdown. Maybe Angle. Or Bayley. It has to be someone with enough popularity to carry over to Reigns. Otherwise, you have to at least tweak his look. Drop that D-Lo chest protector.
