Meant to post about this last night, but there should be a few dozen replays left this week for the people who haven't seen it yet.

On VH1's Awesomely Whack Hip Hop, towards the end (between 15 and 20 minutes left in the show) they cover Randy Savage's rap "career". It shows Savage performing and plays clips from two of his songs, including the battle rap directed at Hogan.

They make a couple of wrestling references, something about how if anyone should be able to put on a good show, it would be a wrestler, and then lamenting that Savage wasn't faking his raps. The bit is short, but gives you a good taste of Savage's music. It wasn't anywhere nearly as bad as I expected. Savage's rapping is clearly subpar and the lyrics are rather lame, but at least it had decent.. not great, but decent.. music to go along with it. I've heard a lot worse on major label releases.

I was somewhat surprised people besides the IWC actually took notice of Bonesaw's CD, but I'm glad the folks at VH1 recognize Savage's insanity. One thing that was missing from the CD: a challenge to Spiderman for a rematch.

By the way, in that clip from video, was that the Funkster playing Hulk Hogan?

They had two of the best putdowns ever, both at the expence of Mr. Poffo.

(I guess this consitutes a SPOILER WARNING)

First, someone notes that every white rapper needs at least two black guys onstage with him at all times, and the worse you are, the more black guys you need. Then they say, "The Million Man March wouldn't have saved Randy Savage".

Then, someone says, "You don't know if he's going to bust a rhyme...or an artery."

As Slappy says, now THAT'S comedy.

I haven't seen the show, but when they ran ads for the CD it was indeed Angry Allan Funk as the Funkster in the clips.

No, dammit, we need a rematch between Monkey and Wrasslor! We got a no-finish the last time. Make it HIAC just for kicks...and there's your WrestleMania XX curtain-jerker!

Star wipe, and...we're out.

I thought that whole segment was ultra cheesy. Firstly, I don't want Scott Steiner being used as the personification of America.
