Lots of good finishes today.

The best pregame show is NFL Countdown on ESPN.

So Spurrier won his first game in Washington, albelit against Arizona. Next week, they face Philadelphia.

The best game was the Jets beating the Bills. Both teams played good. I liked the finish when Chad Morton got his second kickoff return touchdown of the day to win the game in the first play of overtime. I hope Curtis Martin is alright because they have New England next week, and Miami the week after.

My pick for most overrated team: St.Louis Rams.

My pick for most underrated team: San Diego Chargers.

Browns-Chiefs game was just amazing.

My team, Da Bears, pulls out another, scoring twice in the last 6:13 to win it. Our place here in Champaign was rocking. A beautiful day.

J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets. Chad Morton is awesome, what a game.

I feel sorry for the Browns... never can catch a break. The Titans did do good.... i just moved to Philly (more indy rasslin for me!) and tons of Philly people are pissed off about playing a great 1st half and getting nailed the 2nd.

My beloved Packers pulled out a nail-biter. Let me say that Mike Vick is the real fucking deal...he had a PERFECT first half (10 for 10, pass TD and a run TD).

IF I was a Eagles fan,I'd be pissed to.They had a chance just to slit our throats and leave with a win but they decided to play conservative.

The Titans are a team that you don't want to leave on a loose leash. We can do things that a lot of teams don't think we can.We don't have many
big-name wide recievers and thats what many people say is our downside.

Our WR's may not be Randy Moss but they still contribute when called on.

Today Derrick Mason made a catch on 3rd and 19 than basically won the game because that play lead to Eddie George scoring and then getting the 2-point conversion.

Jevon Kearse is gonna be out for 6-8 weeks and for some reason I'm not too worried about it.We have a capable backup in Carlos Hall who had 3 sacks and cause the game sealing fumble.

We have Kevin Carter who will be greatly improved from last season. We can blitz with Lance Schulters and we have a solid but young secondary.

And Eddie is back,I could just tell by the way he was cutting,he couldn't do that last year. And he actually had more yards than Marshall Faulk.

The Bears will have an explosive offense.
Mike Martz will be exposed as the new Barry Switzer.
Dick Vermeil will be crowned an offensive genius.
Shaun Alexander will come down to reality, but not by his choice.
Jim Fassell will be fired by year’s end.
Tampa Bay will cut 2 quarterbacks in the offseason.
The Titans and Eagles will meet again.
The Cowboys and Bengals will suck until they prove otherwise.

Yeah, it's like the rest of the league realized that if you beat the hell out of St. Louie's players, you can scare them. Giants did it last year and almost won, Pats did it and won in the Super Bowl, and now Denver smacked them around (and won). Without their offense, they're not much. The defense can't make enough plays to win low-scoring games. (They'd better, though... I got them in Wienerville Football.)

Re: Houston/Dallas: Carr's gonna be a player, if the first drive is indicative of anything at all. First play from scrimmage in the franchise history... and he lets one fly. Incomplete, but it was due to pass interference. Four plays, TD. And they just got a SAFETY, sacking Carter in the end zone. 19-10, Houston. Daaamn. They've been solid on special teams, and the stadium's freakin' LOUD. Beautiful, no?

Kat: Who was it that jumped the fence and ran to the bleachers after scoring for Chicago? Something I'd probably do if I scored.

And, just to work in some cross-forum discussion, did anyone else see Quincy Carter's performance and think of Jose Lima - worst starting hurler on the planet? I bet Campo was wondering what it'd take to get Jason Garrett -- nay, Frank Reich -- out of retirement. Or how much Flutie would cost.

Oh, and David Terrell for Da Bears.

Please Bélize it.

That's funny, I thought Jason Garrett wasn't retired. Backing up Collins, yes, but not retired.

And apparently, as was indicated by the Cleveland game, after the clock hits 0:00. Sucks for you Cleveland fans, I was really hoping they'd pull that one out.

I hate it when the Bucs play overtime games because I am always so sfraid that something like what happened Sunday will happen.

I think that if Baltimore has a bad season this year, Brian Billick could be out.

Also, Dallas could be the worst team this year.

I would highly doubt it. Everybody knows the score going into this season. Most people are resigned to the fact that 6-10 will probably constitute a good year. The Modells know this(especially considering the very young age of the team).

It's going to be rough, but we still have a decent defense(with perennial All-Pro Peter Boulware and perennial all-Galaxy LB Ray Lewis) and could be a decent team. We looked OK yesterday in the loss to Carolina(even if it was Carolina) but we should improve.

Sunday was another example of why Tom Tupa is no longer a QB. Nice to see the old Miami Hurricane showboat attitude knock off a former Hurricane Coach on Sunday. And, the way the schedule breaks, its very possible San Diego pulls off another 3-0 quick start. Game of the week for week 2, Detroit/Carolina, loser watches the other teams game film from last year.

Thank you Mr. Wanz for the check, now you get an AWA World Title Reign. But be careful, my boy Greg is a heat machine.

Buffalo got screwed by their special teams. What a shock. Damnit, they should have won that game. Meh.

The best part of the Jason Garrett story is that he was about to retire but then the Giants specifically restructured Collins' contract so they could resign him. Even better is that Fassel had said that Garrett would probably be listed as the #2 QB since he is the better holder on kicks.

I think I read somewhere that the Giants have already promised Garrett a job as quarterbacks coach when he hangs it up (most likely at the end of this season).

And I will not join the legions of people blaming of Tom Tupa. Someone blew their blocking assignment and it isn't like Tupa could eat the ball and take the safety. The Bucs still lose. I am shocked that someone wasn't also called for holding on the play - which would have also been a safety.

Envisioning another Giants/Rams game like last year. Stupid turnover prone Kerry Collins.

Hey Yo...

Chargers being underrated is a laugh. I was at the game and the Bengals gave them everything. Offensive line and defense both played like shit. Period. Chargers should have gotten MORE points. A better team would have. And as the true Bengals fan I am, all I can say is, "WE'LL SEE NEXT WEEK!"

EDIT: a little bit drunk during the first printing of this... Titans, Chargers, Titans, Chargers...

Agreed. I know of MANY card games where the wager per round is more than $10.
