But, I guess, 20 or so years ago, I had some for some reason and ran across them the other day.
some are some baseball cards - a Rickey Henderson, Cal Ripkin and Kirby Pucket from the 1992 season - looks promotional Hostess Baseball
Some are basketball - also 1992 Parish, Robinson, Harace Grant, and Karl Malone - all are "Official NBA Basketball Card" - not Topps, Don Russ, just that.
One is Billy Owens - a "NBA Hoops" card. Never heard of Owens
and then there are 3 from the 1992 Olympic team - Chris Mullen, The Admiral and Pippin, also NBA Hoops cards
- so, I took a scan online and didn't find anything to tell me much about these cards. I doubt they are worth much, if anything, but not being a card guy maybe there's a more complete site or place I should go to look.
all help appreciated.

Have you tried Amazon? F'rinstance, here's a (maybe not yours) Billy Owens Hoops card from '96-'97 (The W at Amazon).
A search on "1992 Parish" turned up 23 results (amazon.com) - maybe one of them is yours?
The bottom line is I expect not much $$ for any of 'em.

I collected actively from when I was a little kid through high school and tailed off through college when vinyl became my collecting addiction. Since then I've only bought a random pack here or there when I found something cheap for the pleasure of opening them. I recently got a box of cards from roughly 1987-1992 (from my last days as a collector through the first years where I had stopped). I have discovered that very few cards of that era are really worth anything. The market was glutted, people were collecting like mad, and the autographed cards and other specialty items which are the valuable cards now being produced weren't around yet.
Don't get me wrong, it's been a load of fun going through those cards, remembering those bygone players (along with the handful such as Moyer and Thome who are still at it), but from a monetary standpoint, let's just say it's understandable why someone just gave them away to me. B^) | AWArulz

But that's about the prices I expected. Thanks guys. Guess I'll head off to work as usual :)

They used to publish seperate mags for Baseball, Football and possibly Basketball and Hockey back when sports cards were all the rage in the late 80's/early 90's. Looks like it's currently Baseball, Football and a catch all "Sports Card" magazine that are published monthly.
Hope it helps as I think they buy books across the river ;-)
