It almost feels like they deliberately wanted to do a "salt the earth" type of deal with Rambis. The cynic in me thinks they deliberately left him twisting in the wind until all the other NBA head coaching gigs were taken and THEN fired him so that he'd have to collect an unemployment check.
Granted, no one would be crazy enough to hire Rambis as a head coach, but at least give the poor guy a chance, instead of letting him hang until all the other jobs are taken and THEN let him go.
The Lakers have several assistant coaching gigs open, so I see a homecoming for Kurt.
The Lakers lost the game but that's not the story. This is: http://sports.espn.go.com/ nba/recap?gameId=240107007 "I've been booed before," Bryant said. "I don't listen to that. I just go out there and play basketball.
