(It's actually episode 2x2, but they switched the schedule).
One of my favorite new shows last year is back. The show can get pretty bad when it gives us completely ludicrous storylines that make all of the adults look like morons and take focus away from the baby. Okay, fine, the adults *are* morons.
Take this episode, which could've been very bad. So, Jimmy was apparently a muscial prodigy as a kid, but due to a bad accident with a mini-golf putter, he got ambrosia and forgot how to sing and play the piano. Okay, sure, I'll play along. Oh, but then the family visits a doctor who poked fun at TV comedies that make up medical conditions for dramatic effect. Going meta saved it. Nicely done.
Then, when the family thought they discovered the solution to Jimmy's wasted talent, I wanted to burn them for ripping off an old Family Guy episode. But they actually, literally did that themselves. They're making me want to not dislike this episode.
And finally, in the end, they brought it back to Hope, which is what they should do every episode. It's what makes the show sweet and real. And it's the title of the show.
Awesome premiere.

I'm starting to buy into the theory that because of Desmond's proximity to the hatch implosion, he lived through events on the island, and then somehow was able to travel back in time to the implosion.
