You're as bad as the ESPN annouce crew for ignoring Biffle. Even during the laps when he was in (virtual) second place, all the focus was on Jimmie and Carl. If he hadn't had that miracle conservation, it may well have been Greg making up all those points instead of Carl.

According to jayski, NASCAR has no plans to further discipline Gilliland, which begs the question, if turning a guy nose-first into the wall at 190 mph doesn't get you at least a one race-suspension, what do you have to do to actually get suspended by NASCAR?
Also, this is STILL as over as it was last week, IMO. Jimmie's going to leave Phoenix with a top-five, at least, and cruise to Homestead with around a 100-point lead. A driver has only lost the points-lead at the last race TWICE in NASCAR history, so I don't think it's happening to the two-time champ.
Also, also, nothing that happens in NASCAR will be as unbelievably fantastically awesome as the F1 finale yesterday.

JJD - I completely agree with you on the F1 race. I tend to find the champion rather arrogant at times so I didn't mind seeing the other driver winning. The final 3 laps were full of all sorts of awesome goodness that makes me glad that Schumacher retired.
