His last U.S. appearance was the January 2001 WCW PPV where he teamed with a member of the State Patrol against Luger and Bagwell.
There is only one man left to save Vince McMahon and the WWF/E. One man who will provide weekly Hogan/Andre Main Event ratings for RAW. Baghdad Bob is your salvation Vince. www.welovetheiraqiinformationminister.com

Unless I am missing something, he only had like 3 bookings in Japan and I don't think he's worked a match in like the last six months or so. Ring rust could be an issue, but more than likely, the match will be booked in a manner to protect Goldberg. The WWE sure as hell can't afford another Steiner.
In case of nuclear radiation, stand directly behind your door, but do not open the door, even if the radiation knocks.
It's highly doubtful that Goldberg will be another Steiner-his foot is fully attached and he can breathe for more than five minutes without keeling over from the stress of it. And IIRC Goldberg had one more match in early January over in the Orient, a tag match I believe, although I couldn't name opponents/dates.

He worked 2 All Japan shows in August of 2002, both 5 minute squash matches against Taiyo Kea and Satoshi Kojima.
He followed that up with a match in November for WRESTLE-1 against Rick Steiner.
His most recent match before his debut was a WRESTLE-1 show in January of 2003, tagging with Keiji Mutoh against Kronik. (In a match that at one point was booked to be Mutoh/Goldberg-v-Yoshihiro Takayama/Hulk Hogan)
As the days go by, we face the increasing inevitability that we are alone in a godless, uninhabited, hostile and meaningless universe. Still, you've got to laugh, haven't you?

Methinks it would be funnier than hell if that line were added to the Backlash promo. (C'mon...imagine it being read in big booming announcer voice!)

Much thanks to GrubbyLongJohns for condensing my sig pics into this nice banner!
I'm not worried about the quality of the PPV match. If DDP, of all people, was able to pull a **** performance out of Goldberg at (I think) Halloween Havoc in 1998, then Rock can most assuredly work similar magic on Sunday.
I'd blame The Rundown's failure as much on Sean William Scott as anyone. He's got just as much mainstream exposure, if not more, than Rock and he hasn't exactly been lighting up the screen in any of his non-American Pie movies.
