In the threads and posts boxes on the folder line it displays the number of new threads and posts in the folder, except that it says there are new threads even when there are just new posts in old threads. Could it be changed to show that there are new threads in a folder only if there have been new threads started, not when there are new posts in old threads? I ask because often a folder contains threads I don't care about, but I check the folder anyway because I see there are new posts.
I apologize if this has been dealt with previously.

I've made the change, but don't know how this will help you, since you still have no way of knowing which old thread might have the new post unless you visit the forum and check. And now the quicklink to only show you the updated threads is gone if there's no completely new thread. Hmmmmmmmmm. Well, maybe nobody used that quicklink anyway (this is where people will shout me down)

Damn. To think that I slept through the whole thing and missed seeing the changes. Not the first time I've slept through something like that.
Originally posted by CRZ, Lord and Master I've made the change, but don't know how this will help you, since you still have no way of knowing which old thread might have the new post unless you visit the forum and check.
My point (and I was pretty sure my initial post didn't make it, but it was late and I was tired) was that, if I already knew that I didn't care about the existing threads in a folder, I wouldn't check a folder with new posts unless there were new threads started.
But, thanks anyway. Not the first time I've been shouted down.
