How the fuck did WWE not win for Worst Promotion? Really, I know TNA is bad and all, but we're talking about WWE here. It's the "all male wrestlers must wear revealing trunks while laying on top of each other for at least ten minutes while they're doing slow-paced moves like chinlocks" fed.

I know the internet has pretty much always been extremely biased towards WWE, but are the voters THAT terminally and unashamedly biased?

Welcome!

Let's pull up those numbers...

Worst Organization

22 first place votes
19 second place votes
14 third place votes

9 2 3 57 TNA
4 5 2 39 Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling
2 3 1 21 Juggalo Championship Wrestling
1 5 0 20 WWE
3 0 2 19 Florida Championship Wrestling
2 0 2 14 WEW
0 3 2 13 CZW
1 1 1 10 Nu-Wrestling Evolution
0 0 1 2 Wrestling Superstars Live

The first place votes were really spread around, but TNA dominated, so that's how it got first place.

To attempt to answer your question, I think the results are probably skewed by the low numbers of voters combined with the perception given by TNA's valleys seeming lower than WWE's valleys (after being balanced out by WWE's peaks). Or something. WWE taking fourth - it's placed much higher in the past, and let's not forget the year it won Best AND Worst Fed of the year - means it was either a pretty good year for them, relatively speaking, or there was a lot of crap that quickly came to people's minds this year. WWE DID tie for most second place votes, so it's not like people were letting them off the hook.

Yeah, you might have a point there. The sad thing is, TNA will never really get a fair shot even if they ever do stop being bad. TNA has pretty much taken the place of WCW in the eyes of a lot of internet fans, and they're still stuck in the 1998-2000 mindset of praising WWE and bashing WCW.

You really need to start posting to RSPW again, by the way.

Back in 05-06, when Joe/Daniels/Styles were ripping it up on a regular basis, 'internet fans' were falling all over themselves praising TNA. I, for one, thought TNA had finally turned the corner and carved out a solid niche for themselves, and signing Kurt Angle would make them legit competition. Then they hired Vince Russo and the show went back to frustrating mediocrity.

Given the amount of bashing that WWE takes on this board and others, people would love to see TNA develop into actual competition.

Kirk, crackers are a family food. Happy families. Maybe single people eat crackers, we don't know. Frankly, we don't want to know. It's a market we can do without.

The (justifiable) perception that TNA is the drizzling shits won't change until they have a shake-up in creative.

In the latest pre-Russo era, I enjoyed the product, which, while having many horrible tv programs, at least gave viewers a number of above average matches on PPV.

This week, for example, there were two slightly-above-average matches (Shelley/Young, tag title match) and a number of horrible matches.

While WWE's current TV shows are not great on the whole, there generally good segments and bad segments. I don't think I can say that for TNA, especially since they generally less than 30 minutes of actual wrestling content on their 2-hour (80-88 minutes) wrestling program.
