| #1 Posted on 29.10.02 0647.29 | For readers of the guest columns (and here I'm talking specifically about opinion pieces and not recaps of any type of show):
Is there a ceratin day of the week where you are more or less likely to read opinion pieces? I haven't kept track, but I can swear that the feedback I get (if any) seems to directly realte to what goes up with ...And Marking Out or what day it goes up.
I remember reading WL and the early days of the Torch and looking forward to certain commentaries on certain days and wonder if that is how anyone here approaches opinion pieces. I really used to enjoy "A Thumb to the Mind's Eye" at WL.
Are you more likely to read on, say, Sunday or Monday when traffic and news is slow or more likely to read on Tuesday, Wedensday or Thursday after a show or taping when there is more to talk about?

| #3 Posted on 29.10.02 0924.06 | The day of the week doesn’t matter. I mostly go online Mondays and Tuesdays, but I’d read any older columns I missed as well. I only got one or two e-mails of feedback from Slash readers regardless of what day my column was posted.
I thought your last column was a typical Raw Sucks rant. I agree with you 100%, but it is nothing I haven’t read before in Wienerville. I was going to reply to Excaliber that I liked his satire, but other Wieners said it first.

| #4 Posted on 29.10.02 1150.05 | Fair enough. I don't typically read the wrestling folder here (probably a thread a week or so), what goes on in the main folder is sometimes a mystery to me. I knew it was nothing new per se, but I felt the need to say it as well. Its been my experience that a long, thoughtful post can become a column and vice versa. I could have posted the exact same content of that column in the main folder, but then it gets lost in the sea of "HHH is the devil and if you don't agree than you are an idiot" opinions that I'd rather wade through. I've also found that (time permitting) I tend to write more AMOs when I post less.

To me it doesn't matter what day a person has their column put up on the site. If I know someone is going to have their column up on a certain day and IF I like the column then I will look forward to reading it on that day. Basically if say Llakor was going to put up a column every Saturday, than I'll remember that and check it out.

Aww...But I could aways use the ego shot...
Anyway, yeah, I'll read pretty much anything that's posted, and if it's an off day for me, I'll just go back and read it. But I do do agree that you should pick a day and try to stick with it so that people know when to expect your column.
I should have listened to spf2119 about HHH because he is the smartest Wiener around.
Since everyone else is doing it (ok, not EVERYONE, but...)
Vikings (2-5) - It's time to sweep! 11-5 baby! (Okay, maybe not.) Badgers (6-3) - Well, we won one. Thanks for playing poorly Michigan State! Buffy 7.5 earns a 9 out of 10 because Anya is really damn cool this season. The flashbacks were funny (another musical, Joss?). The continuity from past seasons was tremendous, and just about everything else clicked for me. Plus! Barely any Dawn! | El Nastio

| #7 Posted on 29.10.02 1630.25 | Instant Rating: 7.33 | To be quite honest, I wouldn't mind it if the regulars would get together and figure out who'd go on which days (if possible). It'd be superfine to load up /slash and have one new column each day of the week by a regular.
Failing this, having a column with a constent date of posting would be best.

Unless I miss Chris' intent, this is the place where contributors will post their "columns." So, DrOp, the day of the week question I think becomes moot if your "column" will now reside here.
