I'm not sure if this was already a thread or not, but what happened to Mordecai? I know he had a little bit of action but then he disappeared. I was hoping for a Mordecai/Undertaker fued but i guess not.

He was terrible, and got sent back to Ohio Valley.

I disagree. I thought, while his skill level wasn't great, the character was compelling, but he wasn't given enough time to make an impact. I would have to agree with "willmysensesfail" though - an Undertaker/Mordecai feud could have been good.

When he was sent back, the rumor on the dirt sheets was that he was suffering from extreme anxiety prior to his matches and TV appearances, and that he was uncomfortable continuing to do TV for them.

Whether or not that was an excuse to dump a bombing character or whether Mordecai really couldn't handle the pressure of being on WWE TV is anybody's guess.

Or it could just mean that he realized that playing the satanic Col. Sanders was a horrible idea.

He has been back in OVW since, tossing around a bit between being Seven (which he is now playing more like the motorcycling version of Undertaker, oddly enough) and as a masked wrestler called Vengence. His look has changed a little bit - black hair and beard. Again, oddly, he and Matt Morgan look a bit like twins now, especially since Morgan has dyed his hair and beard black as well. (They were also teaming for a time, so maybe that had something to do with it.)

Like I've said before, I've always liked Seven - but more in his OVW role as a funny heel. Maybe he couldn't handle the pressures of the WWE situation, but I bet that would have more to do with being thrown out there with a character that was never developed beyond a couple of squash matches.

The best way to send character to "gimmick heaven" ever.

Rey Mistero being the giant killer and escaping the Razor's Edge into sunset flip to get you sent right back to OVW.

Yep always blame the presenter..never the product or presentation. His entrance was longer than the Undertakers..he was an Undertaker clone..whether this was done to allow UT to become the American Badass again is hidden away in the backstages of the WWE.Once he got in the ring his work was ok...would have been better after a few more matches but I think people were turned off by him being a clone

In case anyone is wondering what the former WCW referee is up to... http://www.necwwrestling.com/Profiles/Dickinson.htm I met the guy once and he seemed pretty nice. He had a program with Perry Saturn I believe.
