I saw the new Queens of the Stone Age video on MTV2 last night, and saw Dave Grohl playing the drums in the video.

Is he a member of Queens of the Stone Age or did he just play on that one song?

He played drums on the whole album, but he's not *officially* in the band. I don't think he's going on tour with them - seeing as the new Foo Fighters album and tour both happen pretty soon, too.

Josh Homme, and Nick Oliveri, are the only ones with the band all the time. The rest of the band is like a revolving door. The new disc is more like a cross between their first two. Though it reminds me more of the first in it's changing tempo, it is more like "Rated R" in production value. Grohl is on the entire "Songs for the Deaf" CD, they hooked up when QOTSA opened up for the Foo Fighters. Yeah David Grohl "Superstar" seems to be with everybody lately, including on the Tenacious D disc.

Speaking of a living ex-Nirvana member, I was at the Sam Adams Brewery on Aug.23rd and Chris Novoselic and his new band were there. What I heard was pretty good, and I think the guy on guitar was from the Meat Puppets.

There's a pretty good article on Josh Homme in the October 2002 Guitar Player. It probably wouldn't interest a non-guitarist, though.

They were scheduled to be on Letterman tonight, but got bumped.

They'll be on Monday, September 9.

The band is called Eyes Adrift. Its Krist
,one of the meat puppets brothers(the clean one),
and the drummer from sublime. They did a show here
in Houston right around Valentine's day. They were damn good.
There first album is coming out later this month.
