Well, that's what Brian May and Roger Taylor are calling it anyway. It's also reported that John Deacon has not accepted an invitation to tour with them. Paul Rodgers of Free will be providing lead vocals.

Trash, I say.

The only reunion tour I want to see featuring Paul Rodgers is Bad Company.

Not sure how I feel about them using the "Queen" name, especially if Deacon doesn't join them. I'd prefer them to use their own moniker, a la Jimmy Page and Robert Plant.

Not surprising. The Who and Pink Floyd have been touring with incomplete "classic" lineups for years. I think the Doors even did it last year, with the guy from the Cult as their lead singer (but I think in that case they billed themselves as "21st Century Doors").

The funny thing is that some people will still want to lineup for this.

Hey, if you told me that The Firm was playing around the NY/NJ area, I would be THERE!

A lot of people don't realize what's really going on. They view life as a bunch of unconnected incidents and things. They don't realize that there's this, like, lattice of coincidence that lays on top of everything. Give you an example, show you what I mean: suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

I think it's safe to say that this & the "21st Century Doors" could be at a dead heat for "Worst Psuedo-Reunion Tour Ever"

Make it a threeway, 'cause we can't forget The Dead Kennedys sans Jello Biafra.

I dunno, Queen was all about Freddie. You'd think death would be able to overcome commercialism, but alas, it is not to be.

Queen was a great band, and Freddie was a huge part of that. There were still other guys in the band playing instruments though - and those guys were really good too.

I'd still like to hear those guys jam, I think. Not enough to pay for it, but I don't feel bad that they are able to play their songs and make people happy.

Willful ignorance of science is not commendable. Refusing to learn the difference between a credible source and a shill is criminally stupid.

If you want to see QUEEN, spend 33 bucks and pick up the LIVE AID dvds. They totally, one hundred percent, OWNED that show. Seeing the sea of arms, clapping in unison to Radio Gaga (RADIO FRIEKING GA GA) like it was a big production rock video, you realise how special a talent Freddy was, nobody can replace him and to call it Queen is a fucking shame.

I actually saw some clips recently somewhere of Queen at LiveAid, and I am totally with you on that. I remember seeing the show live (on TV), and they just plain rocked. I dig Paul Rodgers and all, but with Queen, I dunno. Get someone with a higher voice at least, like (wishful thinking) Danny Elfman. A law should require them to call themselves "Hot Space - A Queen Tribute" or something...."Fat Bottomed Queen"...."Crazy Little Thing Called Queen"...hell, "Killer Queen" would even work.

Very cool! Are you far right or second from the right? Everybody else I can match up to an instrument if I try really hard but you kinda have two percussionists. (I'm guessing far right, in which case, where can I get a jacket like that?)
